Dalglish wouldn't be that stupid/insensitive about Munich. Presumably somebody at Liverpool's going to be getting fired quite soon.

Watched the Everton match last night. Deulofeu was good, Kone was shit.

Any chance of Deulofeu making an appearance at the weekend?

Di Maria heading to Galatasary apparently. Be a mad move for him

Not going to happen. The Turkish media link everybody to Galatasaray, this'll be one of the many times they're talking bullshit.

Eto'o could be signed within the next 48 hours also.

Surely would have to conclude business for the window if he does. Only other position that could be improved is a quality holding player, though Essien, Ramires and Mikel should be enough to manage.

Another good centre-back wouldn't hurt.

I know he's made a few high profile mistakes as of late, but has his overall game really been that bad? I can't really judge.

First, that quotes been proven bullshit. David Platt wasn't even on Al-Jazeera yesterday.

As for Hart, yes and know, his distribution is and always has been shit but since that Dortmund game, his shot stopping and his concentration seem to have started to slowly decline as well. I'm not sure we need to buy a new keeper but we sure as shit need to drop him for a couple of games.

I think the only thing it has going for it is that no matter how you look at it there is a perception that Dortmund aren't an absolute top draw team, which Gundogan may share. I remember people saying basically that exact line up until virtually the minute before Götze left for Bayern.

I can't adequately stress how unlikely I think it is (I mean, I don't think we're even trying to sign him regardless of anything else) but I'm never really 100% sure when making predictions about Dortmund.

I understand all that and I can see him leaving in the next couple of years, but there's absolutely no chance he's going anyway this summer.

Pantilimon to be given his chance?

I fucking hope so. Hart looks like a liability at the moment.

Fucking LOVE it. Love it especially when my boss is a fat annoying tit who wanks over Man City ever since they took over, but before that he supported Man United. Burn fat boy, burn.

He does sound worthy of mocking.

Woeful performance today and the sooner Hart is dropped the better. Christ knows how he's managed to get away with it this long.

There's not a chance in hell that you're getting Gundogan. You have more chance with Ozil or Mata.

Balague writes how Arsenal missed out on David Villa

No mention of Villa's £10M per year wages. Another shit story from Balague.

There's not a chance in hell David Villa's getting paid €225k p/w.

I think intent is the more important factor.

Man City want the title back and have appointed a new manager and are willing to go and buy his targets. And Spurs are probably desperate to avoid a repeat of the last couple of years so are really going big this summer.

City and Spurs had DOF's last season and both had poor summers.

I don't know about Spurs but we didn't have a DoF last summer. Marwood was there to do the negotiations but he wasn't the one picking the players in the way Begiristain or Baldini have.

Fairly certain he just uses the translator for public appearances. I remember him giving Ricky Lambert instructions on his own (presumably not in Spanish) at the start of his first game.

Peruzzi to Catania a done deal now. €3.5m fee and a four-year contract.

Oh, and Inter have loaned Wallace from Chelsea.

Daylight robbery.

His knee's a bit fucked but he's still worth way more than that.

I've stuck Zabaleta in my fantasy team, is that a good decision? Is he likely to be a first choice defender this season?

I don't know if it'll be a good decision 'cos I'm not that good at Fantasy Football but, yes, he's likely to be our first-choice right-back this year although Richards will definitely get some games.

It'll be interesting to see how he gets on, he's already seen as a realistic alternative to Zabaleta in the national side (his defensive game is meant to be better) so he could end up replacing him at club level as well.

Not sure what will/would happen at club level (and for the moment at least, Zabaleta's better in pretty much every way) but I fully expect Argentina to go to Brazil 2014 with Zaba as their left-back and Peruzzi as their right-back.

Though that is in no small part down to their weakness at left-back, I'd be interested to see what happened if they had a proper left-back available. It would would provide an interesting battle for the right-back spot.
