I'm pretty sure this is deliberate/by-design and was implemented from 1st June 2026 onwards, as - from a data point of view - we start to consider that the start of the ‘next season’. This happens every year, for context.

In FM26, we've reached the point where there needs to be a one-year offset; whilst in FM24 we're now at a three-year offset.

Right now, I'm confident that any submission that is approved will automatically have the contract dates offset by one year (in FM26 Data Update) so that things align against the in-game start date, in anticipation of the ‘first season’ being 2026/27 in Europe. I do appreciate Brazil (and other nations) are on a different cycle, in terms of when their league starts/ends. What we do not have yet is a corresponding file that does the same offset for players without submissions, but that will be added very soon to level everything out.

This doesn't even make sense, because even starting in 2025 everything goes wrong and the players' contracts end prematurely. In my case, I play a lot in Brazil and here there are several short contracts of 3 to 6 months, and none of these contracts even come into effect because of this configuration.

It's very bad, I don't see it making sense in any context.

Who in their right mind wants to go back in time to play FM? And if you do want to go back, it's better to have an extra year of contract than to play on the correct date and have one less year of contract, completely ruining the immersion of the save.

Only the Data Update in Football Manager 26 is having problems.

The problem lies in the contracts; they're reducing the duration of all contracts by one year, including loans and transfers.

This applies to both the beginning and end of the contract, across all types of contracts.

Example:

Everything looks fine on the website, but in the game, it's a year behind.

There's a serious error in DB; all the contracts are coming with one year less than what's indicated on the website. I'll send examples from Alex Bruno himself here.

Hello, can someone responsible for the website resolve the contract issue?

For example, I'm setting a contract to end in 2029 as it actually does, but when the database is downloaded, it shows one year less. This is happening with all contracts.

Using AI to enlarge does not result in faithful images. Post the original source image so that we can compare it and see.

The AI I use not only improves the quality, but also takes the person's photos and generates a faithful frontal image with all their features. I only use it for people who don't have good photos to post. If you compare it to the photo I sent, it's identical.

It's a little newer, but compare it and you'll see that it's identical. I always worry about that.

Don't ever do that again.

Here's another photo of the player. I think it's worth including these photos so there aren't any left. I'm very particular about the photos, and I think these quality improvements are worthwhile. Do you really prefer it to be without any just because it was done with AI? It's 100% faithful to the player; he plays for the team I support and know.

Here, my friend, I only use AI to improve the quality when there aren't high-quality photos available, but I never post photos here that aren't true to the player.

If you're so intent on uploading cuts on this forum, following its guidelines and the repeated feedback we keep giving you would seem to be the most straight-forward decision, so it's baffling why you keep ignoring. Final warning - next time I'll just ban your account because I'm tired of having to keep telling the same things to the same people without any visible improvement.

Most of the photos have a collar, friend, because of one. You reject 30 photos from players who don't have any photos at all; this is to help the community. When a better photo comes along, I will upload it. Note that most have a collar. The ones without are because the player has a long neck, and I took them a long time ago, but I had combined them into one package and ended up sending it.

@Jão Andrade, at this rate, I'd much prefer it if you didn't upload any more packs. I've been asking you to pay attention to the guidelines, but you don't seem to understand them.

There is a lot of blue snow around the head.

Moreover, many of the cuts in this pack have either snow or appear to have been cut using the eraser tool or something similar. Others could do with being brightened, and others still have had better cuts produced recently.

Your technique clearly needs a lot of work. Use remove.bg, and nothing else. Here's a couple of videos on how to use it, one when combined with Photoshop and another using photopea.com, which is a free online app so close to Photoshop that it has the same shortcuts, layout and icons.

If you don't have Photoshop, photopea.com is the tool I would recommend to use to tweak the draft cut produced by remove.bg. It's more powerful and versatile than GIMP and other similar tools.

Don't worry, I won't send you anything else like 40 photos and you don't like one and then you complain. It's volunteer work. I just want to help, and you keep undoing it.

@Jão Andrade we want the player's face to fill the canvas for the 250px cutout, which would mean cropping the image along these red lines:

In order to achieve this, you may sometimes need to nudge the collar up in cases like this.

Frankly, given the current cut is very recent and essentially identical, it's not worth fixing and hardly even worth cutting…

It looks strange, it's not what the guy looks like, then he looks like a person with dwarfism. Just refuse then. The guy has a big neck in real life and I prefer to respect that.

@Jão Andrade, this seems to be either overly sharpened or having had AI tools applied. Either way, the result is like a waxwork, and cuts like this are generally to be avoided.

The guys don't have many good photos on the internet and even so I consider it an upgrade, he was a child in the last photo.
