It will be replicated in some fashion as best as I can do, but yes Cymro is correct I can't make one person the owner of two clubs in the game, I could clone him but he'd be treated as two separate people. There will be something in place worry not.

A further update will be forthcoming and updates to leagues will be ongoing throughout the summer.

Alexander, I will do my best but it may be beyond me to alter who is entered into the Chekatrade Trophy unfortunately, that isn't a simple switch.

Belgium, Denmark and Spain updated in most recent upload. Please note Segunda B is awaiting confirmation of allocations and for some reason the game is not allocating the teams in the 2. Division in Denmark who were promoted into it so far in tests.

I haven't touched the WCC at all, that the game is selecting random teams isn't something I've really been able to find a fix for.

I believe it was an excuse as they couldnt be arsed to once again resolve an issue wait until next game release

but if it was right there is no point in any major editing of the DB as it causes the game to become bugy...as you say cant see it myself

Yeah don't give us an editor if it's going to break the game, main reason it's there is to make updates every summer cos they release 1/3rd of the way into a season and don't give us official ones, I get they can't guarantee or "fix" every update of course, wouldn't expect them to, but don't "blame" the community either.

yes I saw the thread and thought I would check it out before starting a new save ran 10 sims each time Madrid did not take part it was as if the comp was drawing a random Italian club rather than previous winner of UCL

for your info I posted some feedback here last year from SI with strange issues I was finding in game such as this/ AI managers playing youth players in important games for no reason or leaving top players out of UCL squads etc

their feedback and thats why I posted here was they are finding any heavily edited DB such as yours are creating these bugs in game
think thats a lot of BS but if it is a known issue I challenged them to let the editor community know as if thisis the case there is no point in carrying out any detailed editing project

Cheers, yes that does sound like buck passing to the community, if the game is just meant to pick based on players/club reps etc and other factors they shouldn't be so heavily harmed by editing.

Thanks for the feedback.
Regarding promotions / relegations, for season 2017/2018 only 3 teams from the National 1 will be relegated to National 2 while 4 teams from National 2 will be promoted (as usual) to come back to 18 teams the following year.
But if not possible to change league structure for just 1 season then I understand it's difficult to simulate.
The only issue is that the current player's list of Bastia does not really allow to do a good season in National 1 (I simulated 1 season and they finished 17th although media predicted 5th - I assume due to reputation).
I guess I can only wait for FM2018 to get this sorted !!

Yes in part that will be a reputation factor, players have an influence but I believe it is mainly club reputation. Unfortunately, for all my experience making data updates leagues are a whole other kettle of fish I've yet to master, I'd love to provide "league" files for things like the changes to the French leagues etc but atm it's beyond me.

I dont know if you saw the thread someone posted re FIFA world club cup it appears bugged
I have ran several sims Madird never take part in it usually a random Italian club was representing Europe??

The competition should just take the last winner of the CL, which is Real whether they pick 2017 or for some reason 2016, not entirely sure what it's issue is.

Every functioning data update with any sort of popularity simply does this summers transfers etc but requires you to start the game the year before because that is simply when the base game is coded to start from, this has always been the case and I've been making updates since CM03/04, the features Rob has added which makes players a year older etc is the closest I've seen an update be able to replicate starting this year inside the barriers of the game.

I don't think they'll make a change for that. In 2016/17: Bastia finishs 20th in Ligue 1, then SPORTIVELY gets relegated in Ligue 2. The club has financial problems and fails the french football accounting control and gets ADMINISTRATIVELY relegated in National 1 (3rd league) and Paris FC gets promoted from National 1 to Ligue 2.

Bastia got bankrupt, turned amateur from professional and now plays in National 3 (CFA2, which is the 5th league).

As you can understand, the National 1 with 17 teams (instead of 18) is due to an EXCEPTIONAL event, and can't be replicated in game unless you go deeper in the league rules in the editor. How would it affect the relegations/promotions between the Ligue 2 / National 1 / National 2 / National 3 if you have 17 teams in a National 1 but want to go back to 18 for the following season?
I think you should leave it that way, or it will cause some difficulties.

This is correct, if I took Bastia out of the National the league will break due to not enough teams.

The update doesn't include changes to league structure.

Are you using the latest version of the game on Steam? Sounds like you have either an outdated version or a crack.

Which file are the kits in? I have a method for extracting things into a separate file.

They're in the Club & League Changes file as they fell most suitably under the Clubs heading.

Just downloaded the data update and all seemed fine other than Spurs in the Club World Championship rather than Real Madrid!

Is this a known error?

It hasn't been reported and there is no reason they should be in it as the game uses the winners of the respective competitions, which is set as Real Madrid for Europe.

Are you going to finish editing the kit colours in the file?
You've got a bunch of teams half done. A bunch of clubs have one of their new kits added, but still have their old ones for the other two.
I've had to go through and delete as many as I could so they didn't override the changes made by SSKPC's.

The update and any files I produce aren't, and never will be, intended to be compatible with any other files. I'm sorry if some changes I made to kits as and when I saw them come out haven't been completed to the standard you'd like them to be or they cause conflicts with other external add-ons but they are way down the list of priorities for any further additions to the update I'm afraid.

Perhaps next year the kits will be a optional separate file, but that won't be happening this year.

I'll likely tweak other leagues too yes, priority was the "big five" as that is where most of the money is which has a big impact on the big transfers AI will go for etc.

The file "promotions and relegations" should be deleted, it isn't needed as the Club Changes file contains promotions and relegations for the update, you don't need to keep it.

For example, Gigi Donnarumma (A.C. Milan's goalkeeper) has signed a new contract until 2021. In game he has a contract until 2020. All players of AC Milan has one year shorter about contract.

As somebody who has been doing data updates for over a decades this has always been my standard practice, as the contract is for four years, if you put 21 in this edition it'd be for 5 seasons, which is inaccurate.

It'd be nice if SI let you change start dates to start a year later so all data could be "accurate" but alas backdating and reducing things by a year is the only way to make a update "accurate" to this summer.

Cymru is correct, finances won't be touched until the window closes, if I do it early inevitably some teams will not get done properly when some obscure transfer happens I'm not aware of, it's easier to do when the business is over.

League changes need to be done with the league editor which is not something I'm familiar enough with unfortunately, just for any body else who posts in the thread at slight inaccuracies caused by changes to overall structure/numbers.
