Thanks for the quick reply, I've actually deleted the whole ads folder as was trying to go back my steps to return to default. Should this not have did the same job?

No the simatchviewer_uncompressed folder needs removed too as FM will use this over the .fmf file which contains the video ads that come with the game, once the folder has been removed FM will automatically revert back to using the FMF file

I have recently uninstalled these adboards (FM22) however, now instead going back to the previous default game ones it is only showing me blacked out electronic boards. Any idea how I can revert this back to the default game boards?

You need to delete the ‘simatchvieweruncompressed’ folder and the fm.xml file (Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2022\ads) to switch back to the default video ads

I also found another spelling mistake on the NOVA video add. It should say ΜΕIΝΕ COOL ΚΑΙ ΠΑIΞΕ LIVE

Put the folders back and amended the folder name - still only showing the PL ad boards. Thanks for your suggestion.

 

If you are looking club specific adboards within the EPL none have been included in V1.0 of the patch as I am in the process of making them.

I'm just seeing the generic ‘no clubs’ ads when copying the correct clubs XML into the folder. Does my folder structure look right? I deleted the clubs and no clubs folders to test if it did owt (it didn't).

 

I would advise against deleting the ‘clubs’ and ‘no clubs’ folder. As stated in the installation instructions the graphics folder needs to be in lower case, the capital G you have in graphics is the cause of your issues.

hey can see that I am missing fm.xlm when I download the files in FM22 Adboard Project that you have charged. it is in the directory called ads. Should I pick it up in FM21 Adboard Project 

 

You need to decide if you want the use the ‘clubs’ or ‘no clubs’ xml file and copy and paste the fm.xml from that Folder into the ads folder

spectacular work as always. Just one comment regarding the Greek adds, There is a spelling mistake on the yellow add (interwetten say #yeah!) I'm afraid

Thanks for pointing this out, for text such as the above I rely on a text extractor which can extract text from an image but isn’t always 100% accurate, I’ll amend and include the fix in the V1.1 update 👍🏼

Can I please request some adboards for middle eastern leagues and AFC competitions? Like leagues from KSA, Iran, Qatar, UAE, AFC world cup qualifiers, AFC Cup (updated versions for existing ones perhaps)?

I have some Middle Eastern leagues in my radar, these can be difficult to make though due to limited western media coverage and the language barrier, working out sponsors in Arabic, Chinese etc can be very difficult.

Hi guys I download your pack today and a lot is working fine. but I play in the second Dutch league (keuken kampioen divisie, eerste divisie but in this league the boarding keeps on football manager 2008.

eredivisie working fine Or other league do work! can you help me ?

What's the different between Clubs and No Clubs xml? Will Clubs xml be clubs + league adboards for any team that doesn't have dedicated adboards?

With the club’s xml if a club has designated adboard’s then these will be displayed at all home matches regardless of the competition, for clubs without designated adboard’s the competition adboard’s will be displayed instead.

What's the main difference @rabcp ? Because I moved the folders from FM 2021 to FM 2022 and everything worked fine. 🙂

There has been a complete overhaul, lots of new unreleased content, 2 completely rewritten XML files so loads of ID changes, quality of life changes such as each nation having their own generic ads, no more black ads as the xml file will instead load default video ads, video ads either reduced to 15 seconds or split into 2 different files, static ads updates, 100’s of dead files removed.

 

it’s more of a brand new patch than an update this time around.

 

Now that V1.0 has been released I can discuss my plans for the English Club ads. I am planning on remaking all club ads for teams from the Premier League to League 2. This covers 92 clubs which is too much work for just one person, which is why I have launched ‘Project EFL’. I am looking for people to contribute by either making adboard’s or researching which adboard’s are used by each club.

 

I have set up a google spreadsheet for anyone wanting to contribute towards researching ads, it can be viewed by anyone but you might have to request permission to edit it. There is an example in each league of the information I am looking for. It’s relatively simply just the 12 most prominent static and video ads used by each team. From the list of 12 I’ll make 10 static ads. I won’t be making video ads for teams outside of the Premier League but can add them to certain clubs if the video ad in question has already been made. If there are certain video ads used by multiple teams outwith the Premier League then if I have time, I may make them too.

Makes perfect sense - how long until you think it'd be ready? Is it something people could make new banners to contribute to? 

 

Their will be a way for people to contribute as of it’s left to myself it would take months given from the EPL to League 2 we’re looking at 92 clubs. I’ll provide more details in my plans for England once I have V1.0 out!

Thats great - still the intention that first FM22 version is without Adboards for English Clubs? 

Yes there will be no English club ads in this release, as the xml files are new it would have taken over a week to code and test them and I can‘t justify that time when I’m planning on replacing most of them. there absence is a case of short term pain for long term gain

  

 

Today’s the day, patch all tested and ready just a matter of organising a few threads and time permitting a new installation video guide.

The bidstack issues will be lifelong as it makes money for SI, hopefully the usual fix with nullify it though

How could you do that? @rabcp  commented that it was not recommended.

 

Because the first step of installing for FM22 will be to delete all the stuff copied across, as 100’s of files have been removed, updated or had their locations changed. V1.0 of the FM22 patch is 99% ready
