Will you please stop spamming every thread in this sub form with the above post. I have no plans to made new adboards for Turkey any time soon. Their is another user on the forum who has updated that Turkish league a few times to a better standard than I can. He might do them again.

Work on recoding the club’s xml file is ongoing and since the last post club ads for teams from Norway, Slovenia, Spain and Wales have been added to the file. All video ads for Spanish and Slovenian clubs have been converted to 15 secs in duration in line with game limits. In addition to this I have also updated and added new video ads to most Spanish La Liga and La Liga 2 teams, once I've tested these, I'll provide screenshots.

 

I have also decided to completely overhaul all English club ads, which will mean in the first version of the FM22 patch no English club ads will be included. I will provide more info on my plans for this and how people can help over the weekend.

This is another example with my team, is it a game bug? since I observe by the date there was no arrangement or it is only in my game. If anyone who reads me could help me I would be very grateful.

 

It's not a bug, sadly it’s just an example of the game’s poor stadium models, the gaps between the adboard’s are deliberate by SI and cannot be modified.

The screenshots are from an unskinned FM20, hence all the purple

Belgian club ads with video adboards added for: Anderlecht, Antwerp, Club Brugge, Cercel Brugge, Charleroi, Eupen, Genk, Gent, Kortrijk, Mechelen, Mouscron, Oostende, Sint-Truiden, Standard Liege, Waasland-Beveren & Zulte Waregem. Video ads for Adidas, Nike, Puma etc will be updated in due course

 

 

 

 

One of the features of the FM22 version is country specific default ads for 56 nations, these will appear in Friendlies and lower league competitions where the home side does not have any club specific ads coded to them.



With that the 'no clubs' xml file is now finished, as of FM21 tests all top flight European Leagues which have at least one club who use video ads, now have video ads assigned to them.

Over the course of the FM22 I aim to make/update the following league ads
French Ligue 1
French Ligue 2
Italian Serie A
German Bundesliga
Spanish La Liga
Spanish La Liga 2
Egyptian Premier League
Moroccan Premier League
Saudi Arabian Premier League.

However, for now all my focus will be on creating the new clubs.xml file which will also have some quality-of-life improvements.

SI really are quite pathetic sometimes

To be fair I get their stance on this issues and don’t really have any complaints, but on the other hand I feel they could do a lot more in regards to engaging with the modding community as other game developers seem to do.

It's kind of the opposite in all honesty, I had my FM20 version thread deleted by the mods over on the official forums and was asked not to post anything about the patch over there. I was told this was due to licensing/copyright issues which is fair enough as there has been a clampdown and a legal case with the Man Utd name for example, though, I expect part of this is more to do with them selling space for in game advertising which this patch can prevent.

From what I have seen so far it seems like all stadiums shown have double ads at pitch level, this would be a welcomed addition but would require a lot of additional work too on my part too.

There are Maltese ads included, Though they are a little dated but I don’t have the time to update them any time soon.

Yeah…..so….

 

….it works.

 

I have no idea why. I started a new save, played some matches. Didn't work. Shut the computer down. Waited a day and started playing on my old save again, and the ad-board videoes now work perfectly. I re-applied all the extracting steps, I also have a SI folder on my "D:" Drive which I also added the videos to. I still didn't work until 24+ hours later so the main reason it worked I just don't know.

Could it be a mix of old highlights not working and friendlies not working? So that it actually worked the entire time, I just couldn't see them in game.

It's a strange one but glad to see its now working!

I have manually removed all files and reinstalled everything from the bottom and up seven times now (including the release of 1.4), but sadly, no. Nothing is working towards getting video adboards to play for me. Statics are OK, so I have setteled for that - until a solution is found. I will, no doubt, still fiddle around, and will let you know if I manage to crack it
 

 

Are you by any chance using the game pass version of FM21?

 

La Liga video ads update

I also stuggle with black video ads. At first I got the FM 2008 “bug”, but then I changed the name of the folder from "Pictures"→"pictures" and the picture ads are working. However the videoes does not. My GPU is from the 30-series, I have the highest settings on. “graphics/pictures/ads” and “FM21/ads/fm.xml” is placed correctly.

 

The videoes are in “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 2021\data\simatchviewer_uncompressed\videos\hd\video_ads”.

 

I have tested in homegames for the big teams, in Bundesliga, Premier League, Serie A etc. in Europa League and in Champions League and in the World Cup. I have added graphics for logoes, skins, kits, facepacks, background/stadium pictures etc. All work, except video-ads. Any ideas why this could be?

Does “Steam” or “Football Manager 2021” also have to be lowercase?
