Greek Superleague video ads

I have the game pass version, but video ads dont work, any ideas to fix?

Unfortunately, it has recently came to my attention that custom video ads will not work if playing via gamepass as Microsoft encrypt certain folders which makes adding mods into the main FM folders (out with my documents) impossible.

ok, I was confused but now I see that you put it in the ads folder which goes fm21-graphics-pictures-ads.

This is where it is but it's still not working

 

Your joking right? It clearly states in the instructions and I’ve clearly stated to you even with the use of pictures that the xml file goes into the football manager 2021/ads folder

I am currently recoding the entire xml file, the ‘non clubs’ ads and xml file should be finished next week, but I have still to start on the club’s xml file. I'm aiming for a release on FM22 launch date but it is likely that the majority of club ads will be released via updates after V1.0. I can confirm at this point that no clubs with video ads will be ready for launch date as they all need to be recoded to match any changes to stadium models in the new version of the game.

I am unlikely to make video ads for league 1 teams, however, I appreciate that the EFL and EPL club ads are in need of an update, given that’s 92 clubs this will require more man hours than I can commit so I'll be announcing an initiative for this once I have finished off some other projects, hopefully within the next 2-3 weeks.

Am playing via steam and should the HD folder be in Upper case or lower case? 

the ‘hd’ folder should be lowercase but that’s not your only issue.

 

The video ads should be installed to: C:\Program Files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\football manager 2021\data\simatchviewer_uncompressed\videos

But you have 

 

C:\Program Files (x86)\steam\steam\steam\steamapps\common\football manager 2021\data\simatchviewer_uncompressed\videos

 

this is causing your issue

So, like I said earlier you issue is you do not have an ‘fm.xml’ file selected. The ads folder should contain two folders ‘Clubs’ and ‘No Club’ you need to decide what xml file you want to choose, going by your screenshot I assume it’s ‘No club’. 

 

You need to copy and paste the fm.xml file from the ‘No Club’ folder into the ads folder. If there is no fm.xml file in the ads folder then FM21 just uses the default fm.xml file which is why none of the ads are showing for you.

Hey. I have the xml file in there but Im still getting just this. I loaded it form the “FM21 Adboard Project (Full Pack) v1.0” and not the individual pack. Was that correct?

I play with a PC with Windows 7, but everything works correctly Serie A, champions league, premier league, FA Cup etc ... only Papa John's trophy has this type of problem after the update

@rabcp I have the same issue with The danish main cup “sydbank pokalen” id=1301406. Before the update I had danish adboards, now I also have some old 2008 football manager adboards showing.

before the update, everything also worked in the Papa John's trophy tournament, the billboards were those of the efl league ... now, however, after the update, you can see those of rm 2008 as mentioned before

Now that V1.0 has been released I can discuss my plans for the English Club ads. I am planning on remaking all club ads for teams from the Premier League to League 2. This covers 92 clubs which is too much work for just one person, which is why I have launched ‘Project EFL’. I am looking for people to contribute by either making adboard’s or researching which adboard’s are used by each club.

 

I have set up a google spreadsheet for anyone wanting to contribute towards researching ads, it can be viewed by anyone but you might have to request permission to edit it. There is an example in each league of the information I am looking for. It’s relatively simply just the 12 most prominent static and video ads used by each team. From the list of 12 I’ll make 10 static ads. I won’t be making video ads for teams outside of the Premier League but can add them to certain clubs if the video ad in question has already been made. If there are certain video ads used by multiple teams outwith the Premier League then if I have time, I may make them too.

Hello, I’m playing with Kidderminster in League One and after I installed the 1.4 version when I play in Papa John’s Trophy the ads boards have the inscription “Football Manager 2008”…why?? Only in this competition appear this inscription because in the others everything seems to be ok.

That usually means that there is either an error in the xml file or the game can’t find the files which is odd as the competition has not been changed, did this error appear before the update?

is anyone else getting a message saying they've run out of memory and then the game crashes? I've got 11.9G of RAM available…

 

Ever since loading a new game with this new update it happens… any ideas? cheers guys and top work @rabcp !

Why are my video adboard’s are black?
 

If the video adboard’s do not work it can be because your graphics card cannot cope with the demand of 'HD' graphics, however, renaming the 'HD' folder 'SD' tricks the system into treating the same files as graphics which put a lower demand on your system. Also keep in mind that video adboard’s will also only display within FM21 if the match graphics quality is set to at least high (Preferences -> Match -> Graphics Quality).

Hey, I'm on a Mac i've got everything loaded corrcttly, I think but there are no video's and the only still ads tht come up are the images in the “default” or generic folder including Toyota, Allienz, Bet365. and FM ads

 

It sounds like you do not have an xml file selected, ensure that the fm.xml file from either the 'club' or 'no clubs' has been placed into the Football Manager 2021/ads folder like below

Heya rab. Downloaded it and frankensteined it to work on some older games. I noticed that although you included the graphics for it, you didnt add the values for Coupe De La Ligue. Was this intentional because of the indefinite suspension of it? Really appreciate the work

 

The Coupe De Ligue has now been completely removed as the competition has been permanently abolished.

@rabcp  portuguese ads for super taca dont show the competition id is wrong both taca da liga and super taca have the same id on the xml file, supertaca shuld be 115065

Ligue 1 once FM22 is out yes, Ligue 2, is difficult, I need HD copies of full matches to make video ads and these are very hard to find for Ligue 2
