The takeover was purely a business decision. Leeds have an upside, but the people who have taken us over are a financial house. They've sold off 10% of the club to an investment group and they'll continue to try and attract more investment. Why anyone would want to invest is anyone's guess.
The problem at the moment is that we aren't getting money in for players. Poor decisions have been made over the last few years meaning a real fighting team has been torn apart and we're left with a kind of Coventry four years ago team. We have a few decent players, Byram, Lees, Diouf. But really we need to bring in a grade A striker, some creativity on the wing, a solid centreback. Problem is all this costs money. The summer is round the corner and this is the first real opportunity to see how the club wants to go forward, but after nine years of this shit no one's holding their breath.
In the last few months I've barely paid any attention to Leeds, I haven't even been to Elland Road since November because there's no point. But McDermott's been giving a good impression and there is successful youth team that he'll be looking to integrate so... who knows. We've got a lot of catching up to do, probably too much for anything to happen next season either. Which means another year of boredom.

It seems terrible down there, and I understand at the time it is. But once you're down in League One, and pending on you having some decent management, you strip away the fat and rebuild correctly. The three years we were down in League One were honestly the most exciting time I've known since we were relegated. The crowd was with the team, the players we had were fighting for us. There's nothing worse than what we have now: just shit.
