Ah, I see where the issue has arisen.

 

The game will ‘read' the lnc files of the database the game was created with. So if you started the game with 21.3, the game will use the files in that folder.

 

So, if you're using the remove hashtags workaround, the file should be primarily placed in the folder of the database in which the save game was started. If you don't know which it was, you might as well edit them all 😉

 

Ok, it works now!

How they did break in the first place will remain a mystery, I guess 🙂

What happens if you remove the fix no fake file?

 

Nothing changes.

Pardon my ignorance, but aren't .fmf files in the editor data folder only meant to work at the moment of the creation of the savegame? They shouldn't affect existing games, right?

My concern here is that the spanish names are not working properly in an existing savegame, and they used to show correctly before the 21.4 update.

Just to be sure: in the “remove hashtags" method, I'm supposed to edit the file in all of the folders (2100, 2111, 2140, …) or only in the 2140 one?

Hi mons! First of all thank you for all your work 🙂

 

Anyway, I did install the files before starting the save game (I did months ago), remember that it seems that this problem only affects spanish teams. Competition names are fine, and even clubs from othern nations (Bundesliga names are good, Juventus is good, etc.).

Am I the only one that sees the wrong spanish teams names even after applying the patch?

I also tried the “remove hashtags” method but doesn't work.

Teams in other nations seem to work fine, Juventus for example is good

I'm a bit of a stadium nerd, and I just thought that it'd be lovely to be able to set the venues for the Champions League and Europa League final before starting a new game.
Is there a way to achieve this with the standard editor without using a live one? I'd set 20-30 seasons just to be sure!

Only fix I found was to get a new torrent file, it connected me to peers with 100% progress and it's downloading really fast but you have to download it from the beginning again.
Yep, that seems to work. Weird issue, but not a problem. Thanks!

Definetly not a router problem: tried with three different ones, still 99.7%. @ProphetRaven had my same problems.

With 7.0 coming out very soon, I would suggest you wait and download the whole 7.0 pack via torrent.

If that's a bit daunting, then have a look at your config file and check the date modified field in the file properties, then check the dates in which the update packs were released. Download everything subsequent to that date, and apply them in chronological order

I missed some updates and I don't feel like downloading the whole thing once again...
