Just to confirm - and @WelshViking7 has it pretty much correct:

‘Classic FM - Non Dynamic Data.fmf’ is the file that provides updated CA/PA ratings. This comprises changes that are done in one of two methods: a data-driven, global scrape of performance data from the previous season, conducted by the Site Owner as a one-off activity (which has been done following the completion of the 2024/25 season). Now, of course, those stats and figures are one way to assess player ability. The other method - perhaps more dynamic, perhaps more contentious - is on the basis of community submissions through the website.

Any community member can submit a CA/PA recommendation/proposal/change for any player. These are moderated and anything determined to be a reasonable submission should get approved. Each community member can have one ‘active’ submission per player, at a time (i.e. if someone re-submits, the system will take their most recently-approved submission into consideration).

From there, all of the active submissions (from all members) are factored in to produce a consolidated, overall new CA/PA for that player. This would then be recorded in the ‘Classic FM - Non Dynamic Data.fmf’ file.

However, unlike with the transfers/contract changes that are delivered via the ‘Classic FM - Changes.fmf’, the re-processing of these new CA/PA values isn't integrated to happen in an automated, daily way. At present, it is iterated approximately monthly, so there is some lag time behind new submissions being reflected in-game. In the coming days, this file will be re-processed and, as I'm sure you can imagine, the excitement of the transfer window has meant a lot of moves and a lot of people submitting updated values for players who have made moves, or been the subject of speculation.

Obviously, football is a game of opinions and CA/PA ratings in Football Manager are a natural extension of that. I can say with some certainty that the excitement around Nick Woltemade has been reflected through community submissions (you can look up a player and see the submissions and their status here: https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update/person/91187791). Is it all justified and is he going to go on to become a world-beater? Only time will tell.

Now, in terms of the Optional Dynamic Data files. These exist to provide some variation for people who want a level of randomness to proceedings. Each file offsets CA/PA values of all players with a different variation on the calculation. They're intended to ‘freshen things up’ for experienced players who maybe feel the game is getting stale/predictable in terms of who the ‘sure bets’ are for development etc in-game.

The way I think of it is: for the most realistic experience, use the Data Update files without the Optional Dynamic Data. Debate about how ‘realistic’ the ratings are that the community have submitted could, of course, go on forever. But the consolidation system should even things out over time if people make those submissions on an ongoing basis (and by all accounts, they are so far).

For a level of unknown variety, use a random combination of Dynamic Data files (one of each type, simultaneously).

Very well explained @M.C 👍

The read me file Said to take out the non dynamic data, new player file etc?

I haven’t read that myself to be honest, I'm sure the creators will be able to explain better - but the “Non Dynamic Data”  file definitely contains upgraded CA/PA and the “New Players” file is there to overwrite the original.

New players (mainly youth players) were included in the “New Players” file a while back but were then all moved to the main “Changes" file - the “New Players” file was left in there but blank, so it would overwrite the original and avoid duplicates/conflicts between the files.

Ideally you would use all the files as they come downloaded, but there are optional ones for “Player History” and “Dynamic Data” depending on how you want to play the game - but if you install the files as intended, you should have fairly updated players, at least as from last season.

Woltemade has definitely had some sort of upgrade from what I can see….the default FM database has his current ability (CA) as ‘113’, but this update has his CA at '138’ - but again that is likely based on last season, not fully reflecting his big money move to Newcastle.

Hi. is it the dynamic thing that updates the players stats to mirror current day instead of 2023? Woltemade for Newcastle is ‘good championship player‘ on my dynamic 5 load. He’s currently leading the line for Germany tonight irl! Ha going to be a struggle on my save replacing Isak with him 😢 ha

Hi - it will be the “Non Dynamic Data” file that updates a players CA / PA based on the previous and current seasons.

The “Optional Data Dynamic” files are random CA / PA for players, just to have something a bit different in game.

I would say though the “Non Dynamic Data” file hasnt been updated since 12th August by the looks of it, so there may still be a few players that havent been upgraded - most upgrades I think reflect last season and the season before, depending on the source

Hi, have you managed to solve this?

Hi, yes I did - it did seem to be other fmf/editor files conflicting with this ‘Data Update’. I had accidently renamed another transfer file, which was conflicting with this one, which is why I overlooked it initially, but removing everything I had from the ‘editor data’ folder, then only using this ‘Data Update’ - everything seemed to line up ok, as intended!

I had my own Premier League editor file, which I had done myself over the past couple of seasons. When I downloaded this update, I spent time removing changes within some of the files so it didn’t conflict with my own (or at least I thought it wouldn’t). When I started/tested a new save with my own ‘Premier League’ file and this Data Update (which I had tweaked to removes conflicts against my own file) it was showing end contract dates of newer transfers as 30/6/2024 as I had initially mentioned.

Somewhere along the line (either not enough coffee or too much) I had renamed my ‘Premier League’ file as the ‘Classic FM - New Players.fmf’, which I know is no longer used and only there to overwrite the original. So a new save was loading the ‘Data Update’ changes, along side ‘my changes’, mixed with the ‘contract/age’ changes file and it was throwing contracts dates all over the place….and as I didn’t realise my changes were still there (hidden under a new alias) and I tested a new save with unchecking the ‘+2 Age…’ file, I put it down to that file being the issue - but it's not.

Rule of thumb here is, same as my rule of thumb when I was 18 - don't mix your drinks, or files in this case!!! As @M.C  had mention initially the sequence of files is very important, and mix/matching files is only going to cause issues. The only way I got around this if I wanted to keep my personal ‘Premier League’ file, was to remove the matching changes within the ‘Changes.fmf’ file, then merge my own file into it, that way it would keep the file sequence and not mess up the contract dates etc….but that was only me spending time troubleshooting for own peace of mind.

Simple fix is, if you want to use this ‘Data Update’, clear everything out of your ‘editor data’ folder, extract the latest update from here into there, and leave as is….especially if you're not familiar with the files, how they work and how they are structured, and treat every “FM24 Update Pack” you find on the web as standalone, which is how most are intended to be.

Hope that makes sense and helps anyone having similar issues as in my part it was massively USER ERROR lol 🙃

Hi @bolid74 do you have Manchester United Away 25/26 with the PURPLE (aka Dark Plum) shorts rather than the WHITE from the ‘3D Kits Official Thread’ forum?

I belive by default the shorts are PURPLE (aka Dark Plum), and the alternative away shorts are the WHITE.

Thanks in advanced, and great work as always 👊🏻

@M.C and @Footygamer

Thank you both for your feedback - I think I'll start afresh for the ‘editor data’ folder using only the files from the SORTITOUTSI Data Update - perhaps there is a duplicate or another anomaly somewhere that I may have missed (aka user error)!

Thanks again, and if I'm still having problems I'll come back with screenshots 👍

Hello!

I've noticed the ‘+2 Age and Contract Years.fmf’ file massively conflicts with the updated transfer/contracts changes file.

For example, if we take the Premier League - at the start of a new save, a lot of the newly transferred players from this summer have their contracts set to expire at the end of the first season (2024), and from what I have noticed, a lot of these newly transferred players are then just released after one season and the realism gets a little messy (for example Cunha, Mbeumo, Wirtz, Ekitike, Gyökeres, Zubimendi, Reijnders, Cherki - were all released at one point when test simulating the first season, amongst others)

I know it has been touched on from what I can see in the forum, and I know I can just remove/ignore the file when starting a new game, to not include the ‘+2 Age….’ file etc, but my question is, will there be a file that just includes “+2 age only” increase and ignoring the contract decrease changes?

From what I can tell it is the “contract” decrease in this file that is being prioritised over the ‘Changes’ file. I personally think on some level the contract decrease isn’t that relevant at this point in a 2-year-old database, but the +2 age increase is, especially when it comes to younger players already in game not being stuck in the U18 teams for 2 seasons lol!

Anyway, this is in no way criticism towards these files, as like many others, I fully appreciate the time and effort that goes into keeping the game as updated, and realistic as possible, but was just a query as to whether a ‘+2 Age Only’ file is in the works – assuming others are experiencing the same problem?!

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, but I don’t come on these forums too often and I did only find a few mentions of this issue from previous queries.

Much appreciated 😊

Yeah only one kit folder

100% only version of kit there, I have a seperate folder not in FM to keep alt kits

was a match against Brentford away so Brentford also in black shorts

I might try just starting new game see what happens

Worth a shot….double check the ‘alternative kit number’ against the shorts in the in-game editor….ive fallen victim to this before where it was set to 4 and can sometimes happen when adding/removing kit objects in the in-game editor. Make sure its 0 against the default shorts.

I'm happy to present the 24/25 version of English leagues pack that will contain maybe 3 levels of English kits before I abandon it and start working on FM25 kits.

At the moment here's the first basic version with Premier league and Championship, with all teams having at least home and away kits. So, bunch of third kits missing, those will be added in future updates. Also included fmf editor file to fix UI colors and number colors on players back

I don't suppose you (or anyone) has this kit with the red/alternative shorts?

Appriciate it's late in the season, but I thought I had seen the alternative shorts image a while back….but guessing not lol!!!!

I'm happy to announce that English Premier league is (sort of) completed (in a sense that all team have at least home and away kit) and it's now available for download:

https://www.mediafire.com/file/e0jgoom1kswf7xt/England_levels_1-6_3D%252723-24.rar/file

Please note:

  • you should start your game with in-game editor enabled, otherwise you won't be able to add upcoming third kits
  • you should use provided fmf file (instructions in readme) to sort colors for 23/24 season
  • fmf file in this and SS pack is the same, but after several updates one might be newer - check the date of the file
  • lower leagues will be added when I make them (championship soon, others less soon)
  • I'm aware some third kits are missing, no need to point it out

Smashed it once again 👊🏻

Take it easy with requests guys. I don't want to be rude but I don't pay attention to them. If I made Arsenal away, then Manchester United or City would be requested so it's always someone requesting something. From my perspective people want all the kits to be done at once and that is not possible obviously.

I'd also like to point something out. Complex patterns and graphics are now in full fashion in football kits. It was never harder to make them. Comparing to 5 years ago when I only had few challenges in higher leagues, now 4 out of 5 kits are complex and the trend has spread to lower leagues as well. Just take a look at Fleetwood, Spennymoor, Boston, Carlisle, Morecambe and so on. Some nasty kits await in levels 6.

Not only there are complex patterns on kits, there are also 3D reliefs and bumps on kits from Nike, Umbro and Adidas which are hard to figure out and they require some pictures from particular angle.

My pattern folder has already 80 files for this season and I'm only half done. So the average time needed for a kit has pretty much doubled. The usual release of Premier league in mid august is in question. Early septembar is more likely.

So guys, arm yourselves with patience, be assured no kit is forgotten. If you think it's taking to long, blame the manufacturer who made it overly complicated. Arsenal and Liverpool are pretty high on my to-do list so no need to request them anymore.

One last thing, even though I work on English kits, it's perfectly fine if other kit makers make a kit here and there, I will note it as made by others and not make a double until the pack is done. There was a solid work on Chelsea home recently so things like that will shorten the wait time.

You just take your time dude - 99.9% of people fully understand the time and effort you and other kit makers put in, and also have the patience to wait….it will be the same 0.1% of people who would complain and/or pester if kits were rushed and want tweaking left, right and centre!

Keep up the good work @bolid74 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻

Ah.  Damn.  I meant the Backgrounds pack.  My bad.

Thanks

I had the exact same problem - and turned out to be the ‘config’ file from the stadiums background megapack - https://sortitoutsi.net/graphics/style/17/sortitoutsi-backgrounds-megapack

The entire pack had one config file covering all the various graphics/folders - and if you go into the config file its a bit of a mind-field…..so I think there must be a command or line in the config file that is overrulling the default background interface which has only surfaced during the release update of FM23.

Assuming you have the same problem as me, simply remove the stadiums folder from ‘graphics' and reload the skin - see if that sorts the problem out.

I'd assume the problem going forward if you want to use these backgrounds would need to be looked into by the background megapack creators.

I guess this is the problem with re-using old config files from past FM releases lol.

Based on the rumour that Nike are making the AFC Richmond kits for the next season of the show I have created some kits based on some leaked images

These are great mate!!!

Any chance the ‘Home’ colours could be a little lighter, and also the ‘Away’ altered as per picture attached? Also add the ‘Third’ if you get chance ;-)
