Inside that folder there should be one file named ‘sortitoutsi.net FM24 Data Update - Player History.fmf’. This file provides updated player history entries to many players. It contains over 3,000,000 database edits.

 

Using this file significantly increases load times on the ‘Loading game database’ step. What you will find is that the progress bar sits very near the start on this step for a long time, before eventually completing. Please be assured that on completion, the game itself runs as it normally would and loading saved games doesn't take any longer.

 

Recognising that this is a significant change to the game loading times, however, since the last day or two, the structure of the download has been changed so that this file is (by default) in an ‘Optional’ sub-folder. If you keep it in that ‘Optional’ sub-folder it will not be used. In order to use it, you need to put the .fmf file itself into the main ‘editor data’ folder.

 

ok but what exactly does it change in the game because I noticed that the game takes a lot longer to start?

So, can I add this file to the daily update or what? Should I combine the two files, or wait until tomorrow and have the file you're doing every 24 hours be the same? I'm lost. Should I combine this file with the daily update or keep it separate and not combine it?

As I promised, I am writing back here to confirm that I have now uploaded the new Poland (League) file as part of the SortItOutSI Data Update. This new file will replace the old one from tomorrow's daily update onwards.

 

I have tested it on its own, as well as alongside custom database files that enable the playable divisions down to the fourth level. It works in all cases.

 

For your convenience, I've attached the file here, too, so you can make use of it more immediately - but just to be clear: this is the identical file that will be in the Data Update from tomorrow onwards (so don't try and use both at the same time).

After today's update, still the same

Again, there was no mistake because two files may not be compatible with each other. I've only activated lower leagues without any further changes and without promotion/relegation updates for 24/25 and 25/26 season (it was even mentioned by me in polish in comments section that you didn't read).

 

And you try to argue this since Monday, instead you could just ask - hey, polish file is not working for me, I try to load lower league files and promotion files. Can you guys help?

As mentioned, I am in the process of updating the ‘Poland (League)’ file that is part of the SortItOutSI Data Update. I am hoping to have it uploaded by this evening, so that it will be available from tomorrow's daily update onwards.

 

The other custom database file that enables the four levels of Poland as playable requires no changes, just to confirm…and if it did, this would be the responsibility of the author of that file.

I do not think your assessment of where the fault is coming from is correct. Though I can understand why you're coming to that conclusion.

 

The custom database file that enables Poland down to the fourth level (https://sortitoutsi.net/content/63850/fm24-polish-lower-leagues-down-to-4th-level) by @bigpole works absolutely fine by itself. I have just tested a new game, with this file enabled, but without the Data Update (or any other custom files) enabled.

 

It does not contain any database changes and only contains the Advanced Rules that provide the league structure for the Polish divisions. Within those rules, it specifies that for the Polish III Liga there are four groups (Groups I-IV) and each of these must have exactly 18 teams to be valid.

 

In the SortItOutSI Data Update, meanwhile, there are numerous files. One of those files - which was added to the Data Update on 6th August 2025 - is the ‘Poland (League).fmf’ file. This file contains database changes that move teams between divisions to reflect the 2025/26 season (i.e. promotions/relegations). However, this file causes there to be only 17 teams in Polish III Liga Group I and Polish III Liga Group IV. Indeed, there are also 19 teams in the Polish II Liga in this file.

 

It is these mismatches that need to be corrected - something which I am doing as I type this. By ensuring the right number of teams are in each division (in all four levels of Poland), it will enable the Data Update ‘Poland (League)’ file to be used alongside the other custom database that enables the fourth level as a playable tier.

 

Finally, the fact that the Poland custom database file is uploaded on the website for the community to access does not mean it has to be compatible with the Data Update. The two are unrelated. However, recognising it is probably a popular file and realising what is needed to fix the Data Update's Poland file, I am happy to make the corrections needed so that people don't have to choose between the two.

It may be a little bit of a language barrier, but I am not able to clearly follow all of the discussion.

 

However, as mentioned before, I understand the problem (broadly). In simple terms, the ‘Poland (League).fmf' file - which is part of the SortItOutSI Data Update - results in there being only 17 teams in Group I & Group IV of the Polish III Liga.

 

If only playing with the SortItOutSI Data Update, this is not an issue because the Polish III Liga is not a playable league and there are no strict rules about team numbers.

 

When playing with an additional, third-party file that makes the Polish III Liga playable, if that file has strict rules about there having to be 18 teams in each Polish III Liga group, the validation process will fail. The file being used by @galvanize777 is the one that was authored by @bigpole (https://sortitoutsi.net/content/63850/fm24-polish-lower-leagues-down-to-4th-level).

 

I have not had a chance to download and look at that file, but I suspect it has strict rules about the number of teams in the Polish III Liga groups. Which is not wrong, so there should be no inference that this file needs to be adjusted. It should also be noted that this file is not part of the SortItOutSI Data Update; what really needs to happen here is that an adjustment is made to the ‘Poland (League).fmf’ file that is part of the Data Update so that it has 18 teams in each Polish III Liga group.

 

This should ensure compatibility with @bigpole's file and it will cause no harm for anyone not using extra files. I am going to get the ‘Poland (League).fmf’ file loaded up, today, and see if I can identify what teams need to be moved/added to reflect real-life and that should tackle the problem.

 

However, in general, it would be good if anyone reporting issues could take appropriate care to report issues as thoroughly as possible. Troubleshooting these kind of situations requires the context of what extra files are being used to make it faster to get it fixed. A little effort and a little courtesy goes a long way.

 

 

The truth is that the @bigpole file is not updated and it causes an error when updating Sortsi. For some time now, this file has been crashing the game, which was working fine for some time, and the problems started when updating the Liverpool label. So, someone should take a look at the @bigpole file and update this file because it is on the Sortsi website and because of it, the update does not work.

you've uploaded two files, so I presume these are the files you try to load. Files with promotions/relegations are not working with lower league files. And if you have file from older version of the database, check in editor file topic if there's a new version of that file.

 

 

For Etickie's transfers to Liverpool I had a sortsi file with lower Polish leagues attached, but a week ago I did something and ten balls from sortsi didn't work.

Besides, I see that this add-on has not been updated, I guess I sent someone who is well versed in promotions add-on

I'm currently playing with all the add-ons so far and I just disconnected the Polish add-on and everything works fine.

I don't have anything with the Polish league and I also have various mood add-ons but I'm talking about the update with etitike it was ok and if I disconnect only the one with the Polish leagues it's also ok and all the add-ons so far are still connected and this add-on is ruining everything

To be honest, what I need to know is which custom database you use to play in Poland that makes the lower levels (3-4) playable.

I've been working on the database since March this year with Sortitoutsi and I'm talking about the moment you added Etitike to Liverpool. That was the last update that worked for me and I did the update on Sunday and only the Polish league is not working and it was fine before. I'm curious what will happen with today's update.

 

 

 

 

Can you please confirm that you are only using the Data Update, then?

 

Because, as mentioned earlier, I downloaded the latest version and tested with:

1. Only the SortItOutSI Data Update enabled. This worked fine - the playable leagues are the first two levels (same as in the vanilla game).

2. With both the SortItOutSI Data Update and MasterIgor's Poland database enabled. This also worked fine - with the first four levels being playable.

 

We have not had any other reports of the Polish nation having errors and being unselectable, so I'd like to understand your installation fully. It is true that recently the Polish nation file has been updated to reflect 2025/26, but it works on its own so the issue here is compatibility with extended databases which enable lower divisions to be playable with strict rules.

 

Now, the error it shows up is clearly stating it can only find 17 teams in Groups 1 & 4 of the Polish III Liga. Which does match what I can see in the Data Update file. However, the vanilla game does not mind that there are only 17 teams in those groups - there are no strict rules about those groups because the first two levels are the only playable ones.

 

In MasterIgor's file, his Polish III Liga rules allow for 10 or more teams in each group. Therefore, again, these 17-team groups are valid and the game can proceed.

 

From this, I can draw the conclusion that you are using some other file that instructs strict rules about 18-team groups. Whilst there will be a chance to circle back and make sure the III Liga groups each have 18 teams, it'll be easier for me to know the extra file(s) you are using so that I can test it at my end before releasing an update. It also means I can know, for sure, how many levels down the rules need to be adhered to so that I make all of the right updates in one go. Just to confirm: I was not the person who made the current Poland file so it isn't easy for me to know, for sure, what the reason was for not ensuring 18 teams were in the III Liga groups. But once I know what file to make it compatible with, I'll be happy to do that.

 

Perhaps you could share a screenshot of the files you have enabled and/or the ‘editor data’ folder where your database files are.

I think you must be combining the Data Update files with some other custom data files. I have tested with just the Data Update and it all works fine.

 

I have also tested with MasterIgor's extended Poland database active (alongside the website's main Data Update) and it still works fine. The MasterIgor file enables Poland to be playable down to the fourth level (Polska III Liga and above).
