Not my type of film given I have absolutely no interest in politics but the dialogue was witty and funny at times and Daniel Day-Lewis was superb. Other than that, though, it bored me to tears.

I do love a good defensive performance. As much as passing the ball about it nice and some people view it as an art, people often forget that defending can be seen as an art too, and Milan did exactly that. It goes to show how easy it is to nullify the threat of Barcelona, but you need every single one of your players to play well, and luckily for Allegri all his players played very well - even Kevin Constant! Really impressive display out there and Montolivo was my man of the match. Games often pass by him in Serie A but he showed today what an integral part of the team he can be, he just needs to do it more often.

Brilliant result for Milan. Hope they can do it again in the second leg.

Went to go see Flight last night. Fucking great film.

They strengthened quite a bit and have quite an experienced team who, if they get promoted, will get ripped apart. Their team is full of those players who are great in the SFL1 but not good enough for the SPL. Three times promoted Martin Hardie, for example. I think they have one of the bigger wage structures in the league too, their chairman's rather wealthy, but I'm unsure how much of an impact this has had.

This is what I don't understand. If I was given 4th place or an FA Cup win, I would bite your hand off for 4th place. The Champion's League is the main attraction that Arsenal have. Cazorla wouldn't have joined Arsenal if they weren't going to be in the CL. The FA Cup means fuck all to the players and I guess it's 'nice' to have, but the CL is the priority by far. If a team's fan said "We won the FA Cup but finished 7th in the league" to a bunch of fans whose team finished 4th they'd get laughed out the room. Wenger understands this well but something does need to be changed.

The difference between Arsenal and the other big clubs is that the other clubs can finish in the CL spots and win trophies, but they all spend more money than Arsenal. If the club wants both, they need to spend.

It was ridiculous of the club to add that poll though, if true. I never saw it.

Played fives in the snow last night which was pretty fun. Snowed overnight too but it's all been washed away now. There was rumours of some THUNDERSNOW but never got any in my bit.

I quite like FirstBus. They're often not on time but where I stay that doesn't really matter as there's a lot of services. It's £4.50 for an all day, or £15.50 for an all week (£11 if you're U20 or a student) - so £11 for unlimited travel around Glasgow and surrounding areas for a week is pretty decent value.

Those Arsenal kits look lovely, even if they're not genuine. Adidas > Nike. Always.

Partick Thistle have went from Puma and we're going to Joma. I don't really care, but with Puma we've had some cracking tops, and we had a super deal with them that we never had their bland, template designs. There was always something new and 'out there' with them. The salmon/grey number, the camouflage one, the smart black one with the red and yellow stripe and this year's one with a big purple thistle on it. We're not going to get that with Joma.

Stephen O'Donnell and Stuart Bannigan have been called up to the Scotland U21 squad. Really proud of them and it's great to finally see them get the recognition they deserve and Stark's finally looking at the First Division for players.

I managed to eat about 2/3rds of it, which according to the guy is the best anyone's done so far. Far too much to consume though, the thing was about as big as my head. Pretty damn tasty though.
