Cameron wants to 'renegotiate' Britain's relationship with the EU, essentially more opt-outs for directives that "affect British sovereignty", the working time directive, fishing quotas, etc. How on earth France, Germany, etc, will let the UK opt-out of so many things but reap the benefits of EU membership, I have no idea.

And presumably yes, we'll need a visa to get across to France or Ireland, or elsewhere in mainland Europe, unless there are visa exemptions for British citizens. Personally, I'm not the EU's biggest defender, but full withdrawal does worry me.

Then again, I doubt we'll even get to the referendum. It's contingent on there being an agreed 'new settlement' for Britain in the EU, and a Conservative majority government in 2015, given that neither Labour nor the Liberal Democrats want a referendum.

Most internet forums have died/are dying out. People have shifted their internet habits from forums to social networking sites like Facebook and Skype, so subject-specific forums like this aren't as necessary.

The penalty system for F1 2012 is fucking annoying though, you can be forced into a collision and be penalised for it, and the AI gets way with murder. Also, the online multiplayer can be ridiculous sometimes.

My brother saw the big helicopter crash in Vauxhall. Fuck knows why he was there at 8am given that he's at Westminster University at his student accommodation is next to the Wembley Stadium, but he said he heard a loud bang and lots of fire.

That's true, all the supermarkets sell are the shitty celebrity hardbacks, or as Stewart Lee puts it, 'toilet books'...

Doesn't HMV own Waterstones? Are they going under too?

They used to, up until 2011, when it was sold to a capital venture firm, like how OpCapita own/used to own Game and Comet respectively.

Am I the only one that doesn't feel that sad in the slightest that HMV has gone into administration? Obviously, it's sad for those who work there, but hopefully they'll find new jobs. I always felt conned whenever I bought something from HMV because it was all ridiculously overpriced, the shop was always untidy and ever stocked what I wanted anyway.

It could be like those letters from lawyers representing Umbro, or whoever owns a copyright, to scare someone shitless so they stop getting counterfeit, which is fair since it's technically stealing.

Is that criminally illegal, or just a civil offence - can be sued for it, not convicted?

Marilyn Monroe died a year before Kennedy, most of the coincidences aren't that extreme. Kennedy is a common name, anyway.

...ergh.
The drops weren't that bad. Your eyes feel so weird for the rest of the evening but I don't know if you've ever had to have someone check the pressure of your eyes? What they have to do is basically poke your eyeball for about 10 seconds each obviously without blinking or moving your head at all. You can't feel it properly because of the anaesthetic but you know it's there and someone's still been poking you in the eye and you still feel like this really weir aching sensation and all your brain wants to do is blink but if you do they have to start over.
I'm still convinced I didn't actually need that done though. They had this student doctor doing it while the actual doctor sat in the next room watching. The other doctor comes in and like dresses the guy down over what he did right and wrong etc. Then talks to me about some tests I'd already had done without really mentioning what that guy just did. This was after waiting for 2 hours in a hospital naturally.

I have that every five months. It's not terribly bad I guess.. something I'll have to get used to. The first time they ever test for glaucoma is a proper bitch, but now I know I've got it, I can just prepare for it.

Still not sure what's causing the problem but the doctor said there's no damage to my eyes so I'm guessing it's related to the cold I had/ still kind of have. Hopefully it'll fade in the next couple of days. Also, my pupils are dilated to fuck because of the drops they put in my eyes.

I have glaucoma so I know what that's like, nightly eye-drops, being sent all over a hospital for checks, having the yellow anaesthetic eyedrops shit.

The parodies are fucking hilarious, thing is you get one or two, then a thousand copies. They must ctrl+v/control+c tweets from someone else's parody onto theirs or something, which is a tad gay.
