Probably the most pointless post you've ever made.

Speak for yourself, at least it made me giggle.

Probably not that accurate either, or complete. Or interesting.

Exactly, what if there's a new 'Red Ring of Death' and you need your machine to be repaired? Maybe there's some sort of manual reset or over-ride so a disc can work on more than one machine if necessary? Obviously, this would be prone to hacking.

What's this I hear about Sony patenting new technology that puts a code into every PS4, and every disc for the PS4, which will mean that discs can only be played on one device, only, ever? This means that if you buy a physical game, put it into your machine, it'll only ever work on your PS4 and never on anyone else's. This will kill pre-owned games and physical renting of games, though I guess irrelevant if you only download games.

Apparently the new Xbox will have always-online DRM as well, so that's crap if you have a weak connection.

What I used to do was walk to a bus stop further along, about a ten minute walk, because it was £1 cheaper to catch the bus from there to town than from the bus stop down the road from me. Little bit risky though, because you've got to cross a main road and occasionally the bus wouldn't stop there because it's not really in the driver's eye-line.

£6.70 for a return/day ticket. About 12 miles into Newcastle.

Seems common sense to me to make buses to be free/very cheap to reduce congestion and pollution. Make buses a viable alternative to cars, rather than just for people who can't afford cars.

But that means that local councils will have to further their subsidies for the bus companies, or take them over completely, which obviously costs money. They'd have to increase fees elsewhere, or put council tax up, and the car-drivers, or rich households in the nice parts of town, will object, saying that they don't use public transport, thus they shouldn't have to pay for other people's transport. It's what happened to 'Fare's Fair'.

I don't know why you're bitching about the BNP, it's not 2009. They had a pre-election peak in 'popularity', after the MPs' expenses scandal, with the ongoing credit crunch and recession, and the general discontent with the major political parties, people looked at the BNP and saw something they might like. However, the party put itself into masses of debt in its election campaigns, Griffin was widely ridiculed as a dictatorial leader with a huge ego, and by 2013, the party is dead in the water. They lost Andrew Brons, an MEP who narrowly lost to Griffin in the party's chairmanship election, and most of the membership has either defected to some of the other ridiculous, racist fringe parties such as the (now-defunct) British Freedom Party, English First Party, and the football hooligan firm, the English Defence League - or have simply left 'politics'.

It's £5.50 for me to go to town on a return, which is about ten miles away and takes less than 20 minutes. Fuck Hampshire. Fuck Stagecoach and bus privatisation.

Okay, with that statement I think we can conclude that British employment law officially sucks.

Says the classical liberal.

What pisses me off at work is that my mate has been promoted to supervisor, going from £4.98 an hour to £6.40, because of the amount of sucking up he's been doing. We've been working pretty much the same number of hours for two months each, yet he's always getting a little extra over-time, gets treated with respect, doesn't get bollocked, and now will earn £1.42 per hour more than me, even though the actual supervising work he needs to do is open up and close on Saturday and Sundays, takes about half an hour each time. It's fucking bullshit. I'm speaking to my manager about it, but I bet he'll give some phony excuse.

The person who had the job before was asked to leave for stealing; they already had the job lined up for him anyway. I'm not the one who's been overlooked either, two other people are pissed off about it.

Sorry to bring this up, but Australians do strike me as being racist but not particularly worried about it - casually saying the n-word or p-word, or whatever, but denying that this would cause offence, or that it's not racist because they "don't mean it". Kind of like "I'm not racist but.."

UKIP tries to portray itself as 'libertarian', so they don't look c/Conservative, but in truth, they're more small-c conservative than the big-C Conservative party.

A three-game ban and an apology will suffice though, given that it was heat of the moment, but still. Shouldn't use violence against a ballboy.
