Started playing F1 2012 again since the season's started. It reminded me how frustrating that game can be, especially silly penalties that I still get online.

I do find that ITV try and be a bit more populist, like presenting a Euro 2012 game from an al fresco restaurant in Warsaw near their studio, what was the point of that?

I hate two party systems. They're usually the result of an electoral system and the media trying to oversimplify things into 'left v right', 'red v blue', etc. Given the various types of conservatism, liberalism, socialism, environmentalism, nationalism, a thriving democracy should have at least four or five smaller political parties rather than two or three bigger parties that occupy roughly the same space in the centre.

Fifa just depresses me. It has the image of "old white guys sitting in a smoke-filled room", which in 2013, is beyond ridiculously outdated.

Might need an eye operation, that'll feel a little odd. I'm not as squeamish about eyes as I used to be, but having something cut into my eye to drain fluid won't be pleasurable. Doctor said that there's a chance I could have a general anesthetic but they prefer just injecting your eyes. Nice.

Pretty much yeah, you're both on the money. My mate's actually left now - he was only at the shop for a little while - but there are other people whose responsibilities include dealing with the POS/promotions, but because they invariably avoid going on till, it's me who takes the flack. I'd pretty much have to start double-checking and correcting their mistakes which would just be ridiculously silly.

I know it seems petty, but there are things that just really get to you and posting them here is a better way of relieving the stress of it than confrontation I guess. I work at a company whereby, if you've got a problem, or a grievance, want to get your holiday entitlement without being dicked around, want to work hours better tailored to your needs, want to get a legally-mandated 20 minute break every 6 hours, you get another job.

Anyway, I fucking hate working in retail. My arsehole of a supervisor was supposed to replace all the expired promotion POS and labels with the new ones, except he couldn't be arsed. So customers have been coming up, expecting to get the promotional price, but then get angry at me when it stays at original price.

Regarding the slow death of the forums, this is just the way a lot of forums seem to be going. People's use of the internet is changing, with a greater emphasis on the big social networks and larger sites like Reddit, than smaller forums. I was speaking to an old friend who ran a Sims-based forum, which actually made him money. Its off-topic sections and 'forum big brother' games drew in a large amount of traffic, but people don't visit it anymore because they prefer to socialise online with their actual friends - made easier with Facebook etc - and use official sites for their Sims fix. Yeah, you could download some mods like clothes or something off the forum, or from the official site, where there's far more variety, but less of a community.

That's not really the point though. The point is that I can still get SimCity 4, or 3k or 2k, which I personally have, and play the game just fine, even though it's been years since it was popular. I don't want to buy a game and think, shit, in a few years, this is completely unplayable.

There isn't an offline mode, however you can still play single-player. Basically, whenever you're playing the game, you've got to be online and connected to the Origin servers, and probably in a few years, EA will release a sequel and close down this SimCity's servers.

I don't think I've actually played Football Manager in over two years. Didn't bother buying '12, because I didn't have much time/dedication to get into '11 to justify the expense. Didn't even realise when '13 came out.

What is this Harlem Shake? Is it basically Gangnam Style, but for Harlem?
