I've seen worse Chelsea kits over the years. It will probably look better being worn.

In saying that, Adidas need to seriously revise their design team.

They're playing us on the final day of the campaign. If they're gonna drop points at any time, its not going to be then.

Stranger things have happened, i.e. Liverpool actually being amongst the title race this season.

I really can see Liverpool winning the league this year.

Will only happen I think if they beat both City and Chelsea. Lose both and I think City will win the title. They need to at least claim a minimum of 4 points from those games.

That non-offside call was horrendous.

It also hurts to see Juan Mata doing what we all know he can in a red shirt. Hopefully Moyes puts him back out wide.

Verse has buttfucked himself by choosing Australian as his nationality. No motherfuckers in the football world know who he is so they can't sign him. Attribute wise he could easily be a lower end Premier League footballer by the time he's 21, but because his notability is 0 they don't know he exists and neither do Australian clubs because they're probably not real (in terms of playable).

I can see how it will have some impact but the strange this is that there has still been club interest, I'm just seemingly rejecting all offers. Having a second nationality of Italian should have aided finding a club, particularly within Italy. Then again, maybe that has no bearing on reputation/notability.

You're so shit that no one wants you.

I've had offers, clearly my player is picky ahaha.

ha ha it's weird you have turned down alot of offers from decent Italian clubs..

Seems strange, not really sure why a player would continually turn down club after club, my development is suffering.

After not really playing FM properly since FM12, I've recently just started a game as Boston United in Classic mode. After flicking through this thread it gave me a bit of incentive to give it a bash and initially it was a pleasure. However, after a good start to the season I went winless for around 17 games and ended up on the foot of the ladder. I'll be lucky to last the entire season with my job very insecure and board less than impressed given mid-table expectations.

Have continued to tough it out though to see what unfolds. My defence is horrid and being already over my wage budget I can't bring anyone else in that's decent.

And as I type this, I've just been sacked after yet another horrible defeat. Not overly sure if I'll get another job or not after that start to my managerial career.

Won't be much opportunity to counter if PSG are defending a lead though

They're not really built to defend leads though. There best defence is definitely to still attack, naturally it will more likely be on the counter than forcing the matter. I dare say they'll push for an away goal to kill the tie, if they get it then they'll simply sit back with men behind the ball and soak up whatever Chelsea can deliver. Which won't be much if the Chelsea of late rock up.

I reckon Chelsea will be 1-0 up and PSG will get a late equalizer as they throw men forward next week. PSG have just got too much quality.

In attack, yes. Down back though they're less solid at times.

It will be a matter of which Chelsea team shows up, the one that looks the goods and is dangerous on the counter. Or the slow and lethargic one which has been on show more recently.

Tie isn't entirely over, we've been here before so hopefully pull ourselves out once again.

Would have settled for a 2-1 loss but 3-1 makes it very difficult now.

Once again it showed our lack of width, lack of central midfield depth, and reliance on Hazard going forward.

Definitely not disagreeing with you.
Would be good for him or one of the other creatives to step up, so the defenders would have to focus on someone other than Hazard for a change.

That's a must at some point. Someone else needs to take over games and not solely rely upon Hazard to do it.
Slowing the ball down in attack doesn't help either. Just ends up congesting play further and makes creating chances more difficult than it needs to be.

Shite result today, and Oscar's been frustrating for a while, but let's not start making claims like this.
On his day, Oscar is an absolutely brilliant footballer. Kalou never was.

I know, I know. It's a touch hasty, but he's been so frustrating for much of the season.
At least Kalou did score some crucial goals. Oscar on his day is brilliant, but all he seems to deliver the last few months has been a horrid first touch and inability to make a successful 5 yard pass. I know fatigue hasn't helped, given the amount of football he's played the last 2 years. I'm hoping that's the ultimate cause.

That was one of the most inept Chelsea performances I've seen in recent years. Incredibly lethargic, slow and entirely one dimensional when it comes to going forward. It's always the same thing when we tend to face sides who sit deep and get men behind the ball. The slow attacking play we offer just enables the opposition defence to set itself while we try to play this combination passing again around the box trying to walk the fucking ball in.

Credit to Palace though because they came out and did exactly what they needed to do. While still being able to create plenty of chances going forward themselves when busting out on the counter. Fully deserved result on their behalf.

I've always maintained we'll not win the league this year and this highlights why. We're very much a Hazard reliant side when in attack, and he had the cutting edge of a butter knife. Also Oscar is fast becoming the Brazilian Kalou. While the talent is clearly there, he's so frustrating and sloppy at times.

Where the fuck do we go on from here?

Preferably 6 or so nil.

Terrible first half by the officials though. Bane's cheeky little flick as the keeper was throwing the ball back into play, the corner given despite coming off Torres clearly and then the obvious botching of the sending off.

Otherwise good first half by Chelsea, hope we don't take the foot off the pedal though and really look to score a few more.

Kind of pleased with getting PSG. They're a good side and have some quality going forward, however are still somewhat fragile down back. Should make for a tougher tie than what Galatasaray provided.

Also nice to see United get Bayern.

Says who?

Jones and Smalling are both very talented centre backs and both deserve a chance in my opinion, if they get it and don't make it so be it, but I'd rather both got it than we spunk money needlessly on big name players for the sake of it.

There's also plenty of United fans that will tell you that Evans is already top class, he's certainly no worse than a lot of players plying their trade at top clubs. We'll probably sign a player, but I wonder if the sensible money would be on a more budget signing like Astori who has a bit more experience than that pair.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say 'first choice replacement', but Rafael is brilliant and I'd hope next season Valera can cover for him. We need to sign a left back, without doubt, but I'm not as sure Evra will leave as I was a few months back so maybe we don't need another player just for the numbers.

We all recognise our midfield is utter dross, and I think people forget that that impacts the defence, too, Fellaini's done a better job of providing some stability in midfield since he's come back and we've looked a bit more solid as a result, finally sort that midfield out and the defence will naturally start to look a bit better.

Both Smalling and Jones have had chances, obviously they've not had a lot of games together as a central pairing but with both being young they lack that experience, which has shown on individual instances when either has played centrally. Someone like Astori isn't going to solve any of your issues at centre half though, while he's a good player, he isn't that top level you will need. He'd also be somewhat foolish to join if he isn't going to be first choice and would cost anywhere between £15-18m at least.

To be fair, every time I've seen Evans play he's been rather streaky with his performances. Though I've not seen much of him this season to see if he's improved or not. Still, wouldn't be banking on him too much either when push comes to shove.

I'm talking genuine first team quality players who are going to walk in and be in the starting line up. Evra on the wrong side of 30 and his performances have lapsed from a few seasons ago, so that's a key position requiring replacing. Throw in a central defender who's going to contain that leadership and composure that's been lost with Rio over the last few seasons and Vidic's impending departure. While Rafael is solid for the most part, a bit of genuine competition will either help raise his game or replace him.

The midfield though is another story altogether.

To sum it up though, United are going to need to spend some serious cash this summer to help bridge the gap that's been created. Particularly when those other sides around them will be spending too.

Which is why I hope we get Jones and Smalling playing games together and building an understanding now.

Oh and we might buy a left back that can defend, that would be nice.

You lot need first choice replacements for both fullback positions and a centre back.

While both have talent, Smalling and Jones as first choice won't cut it on a consistent basis.

United have a lot of work to do in a lot of key areas.
