Watched Dredd this afternoon. It was better than what I had been anticipating, so can't complain too much.

Just casually watching some chick fuck her dog and blow him because she lost a bet on facebook.

Now I'm eating meat loaf. Awesome Sunday.

See that too.

I wonder what we'll all expect to see next week?

Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard will not face criminal action after he lashed out at a ball boy during last night's Capital One Cup semi-final defeat to Swanssea.

Police officers spoke to the 17-year-old following the match and no complaint was made.

"South Wales Police can confirm that the Swansea City ball boy has been interviewed in the presence of his father and no complaint has been made," a spokesperson for South Wales Police said.

"The ball boy did not sustain any injuries."

QPR midfielder Joey Barton, on loan at Marseille, has typically waded into the debate by taking to Twitter this morning to suggest Hazard should have gone further.

He tweeted: "Hazard only crime is he hasn't kicked him hard enough..."

Barton later updated his Twitter feed to clarify his comments, insisting he was no advocating the kicking of ball boys.

"Just re-read that last tweet and it sounds like i'm advocating kicking ballboys! Haha I was mearly trying to point out Hazard, may as well.. ..of kicked him properly for the way he is going to be punished for this. Public perception is he's volleyed him. In reality he's tried.. ..all be it in an aggressive manner to dislodge the ball from beneath him. I am strictly against the kicking of balls people. #kickitout"

He added "Hope that clears that statement up... #twistedsentiments"

The incident occurred in the final minutes of the match at the Liberty Stadium in Wales in which Swansea advanced to next month's cup final with a 2-0 aggregate win.

When the ball went out of play the ball boy, named locally as Charlie Morgan, proceeded to lay on the ball in an attempt to waste time.

With Chelsea needing two goals to have any chance of winning the two-legged tie, Hazard attempted to retrieve the ball back by kicking at the ball, and in doing so hit Morgan.

Hazard was immediately sent off for the incident by referee Chris Foy and after the match the Belgian international made a public apology. Morgan was also invited into the Chelsea dressing room after the game where it's understood the pair apologised to each other.

Hazard told Chelsea TV: “The boy put his whole body onto the ball and I was just trying to kick the ball and I think I kicked the ball and not the boy. I apologise. The ballboy came in the changing room and we had a quick chat and I apologised and the boy apologised as well, and it is over. Sorry.”

A spokesman for Swansea, who will play Bradford City in the final on 24 February, later confirmed that South Wales police had spoken to Morgan and his father and it had been agreed that no charges would be pressed. He said that Frank Lampard and John Terry in particular had made Morgan feel welcome when he was invited into the dressing room, accompanied by a member of the Swansea staff.

I'd say there was more contact with ball than the kid. Not that it makes it any more acceptable.

I have little sympathy for the kid to be quite honest. He's old enough to know exactly what he was doing, knowing full well Chelsea were chasing the game still and Hazard wanting play to restart again quickly. That said, Hazard shouldn't have gone about it as he did, but can totally understand why he's done it.

In the past, I'd have been confident of a comeback, given recent history of doing so. However, I don't think it's gonna be happening this time around. Crucial to keep a clean sheet, if that can't be done then it's all over.

I don't want him to go at all.
He'd be a brilliant successor to Cech, who due to his fragile bones and shit, may not be able to last as long as "normal" keepers.

I don't think he'll be sold, nor do I want that to happen either.

I think Cech will be number one for another season, Cortouis will probably spend another season at Atleti. After that he should be coming back to compete for the position with Cech. I'd like to see him spend pre-season with Chelsea for next season though, play some of the warm-up games to see how he goes amongst the Chelsea squad. Then send him back to Spain.

Surely your not being serious? No Podolski or Chamberlain and our bench is absolutely awful, nothing gonna change the game there.

As I said, it's been all about the midfield. Chelsea have absolutely dominated it thus far and hence been the far better side. That can obviously still change in the second half, not getting too carried away just yet. A third from Chelsea will kill the game, if Arsenal score it's back on.

I can see Arsenal giving Chelsea a mauling to be honest. Midfield is going to be key for Chelsea, with Ramires and Lampard in the middle there isn't much defensive cover for the defence. If Arsenal control the midfield, they'll win it.

I reeeeeeally want to see the Fistful of Dollars trilogy, how good are the films? Bearing in mind I'm not a massive western fan but I do love me some Clint Eastwood.

Well, given the spaghetti western style used, they aren't like your traditional western film. They are all good films though and a solid trilogy, even if they could have been condensed into shorter lengths. Worth a watch if you're into the style, otherwise you might find them boring for the most part. Also you'll need to ignore the poorly dubbed over voices and it pays to watch with subtitles on. So if you're fussy over that sort of thing, probably best to not even bother.

Also just watched Dirty Harry, such a classic.

Do you actually believe that?

That I do. I've never rated him as a keeper whatsoever.

I would genuinely take the likes of Begovic, Schwarzer, Krul, etc over Valdes.

He'd get into the majority of the teams in the Premier League so I'd say he's pretty decent at his job

He'd get into a few sides, but it would be based more on reputation of being Barcelona keeper than his ability.

He's a mid-table quality keeper.

More importantly though, appears there is some sense at Chelsea with A.Cole appearing to have agreed a year deal for next season. Now hopefully the same with Lampard, will be furious if he goes.

Why doesn't Rafa Benitez ever discuss what happened during a game??

He constantly says "I am just concentrating on the next game"...

Winds me up!!

What's to say that doesn't stand out already?

The attackers aren't clinical in front of goal.
A midfield presence is lacking.
Lack of concentration down back and silly errors costing goals.

It's not hard to see where the problems lie. A lack of depth has seriously hurt, particularly in midfield. Getting rid of both Essien and Meireles was a terrible decision. As was going into the season with only Torres and Sturridge (who was already being touted around in the summer) as the only forward options.

While Benitez must take some responsibility, a lot of it comes down to the players on the pitch. The fact the clubs home fans persist with the booing doesn't help the team one little bit and makes for a very negative atmosphere.

It's a worrying time for the club to be honest, I can't see why any manager would want to take over with the club in such a mess and being run by complete nuffies at board level. The club's been going backwards since Ancelotti was sacked.

It's a safe choice by Pep.

That said, I'm glad he's not coming to Chelsea. I'm not really convinced at all by his ability as a manager and without the highest order of players. So will be interesting to see how he really fares without the likes of Messi/Iniesta etc. An expensive bullet dodged me thinks.

In other news Lucas Piazon has apparently joined Malaga on loan for the rest of the season. Which there has been talk that it could be part of a deal for Malaga's Isco, who Chelsea are apparently interested in. How true the second part of that is, is still to be seen.

If you're given an unlimited amount of money to build your own fantasy side, who would you buy? It's up to you if you wanted to base your team around recent form, in which case you might, for example, want to bring in Bassong over Vidic, but it's down to personal preference.

That makes things a little clearer. OP is a little misleading as to the basis of selection.

Yeah but he was distinctly average in the league. If you pick him for winning the CL, you may as well pick Marcelo for winning La Liga.

Cole wasn't average in the league, even in a side that was performing terribly, he was still one of our best performers week in week out. He was also exceptional in the Champions League.

The only advantage of having Baines is that he contributes a bit more going forward than what Cole does. However, Cole is better defensively.

I don't really understand the concept of the selection. If you're not basing it on this season or form then it's effectively is a best Premier League XI, is it not? Which if so, majority of those players wouldn't get a look in.
