To change the nation flags to the new ID's for Russia and Belarus you will need to adjust the config files. Replace all ID's that have 791 to 583, and 758 to 574 in the following folders that i'll detail. If you have no graphics folder in your My Documents > Sports Interactive folder then use the Resource Archiver to extract the graphics fmf. In there you can find the config files in the following folders to change the ID's mentioned above:

FOR FLAGS

graphics > pictures > flags > large

graphics > pictures > flags > medium

graphics > pictures > flags > small

I copied and pasted the above from the description at the top. Does the TCM24 logo pack have the flags or logos for the international teams? Check the config files in there to make sure the ID's are 583 and 574. 

If you still have a problem with the flags then try the following:

Open the resource archiver, and follow the instructions from above. Create a backup of the graphics fmf in case things get messed up.

Change the config file so Belarus reads:   <record from="europe/blr" to="graphics/pictures/nation/574/flag"/>
and Russia reads:   <record from="europe/rus" to="graphics/pictures/nation/583/flag"/>
Save the config file, and then click create archive and replace the graphics fmf file. 

Restart your game. If that still has not worked then you have a file somewhere in My Documents SI folder that is overriding the default flags. I had that problem when I first did this and in my case there was a folder of flags in a skin I was using. Hopefully that will get you sorted.

It's there a difference with downloading the game from epic? The flags question is answered on the first page. Hopefully there's not much difference between epic and steam? Post back here if you still can't make it work and I'll try and help again.

Hi @Qrul17 , Gibraltar teams do play in the club continental competitions. San Marino are the lowest ranked European nation in the coefficient table and are 55th. The vanilla continental competitions are set to be for the top 54 nations as it was programmed to not include Russia. So, San Marino teams can't play club continental football. They can if you add my 80s style file, but not otherwise. 

Administrative expenses totalling £7.9m !! Is that where SEGA would be taking some of their money from? I would imagine the staff wage budget, travel etc is incorporated here as well. SI are answerable to SEGA, and I believe they have become too big a company to be able to go in the direction that they want to. I wouldn't be surprised to see a split in the next 12 months, or even a complete breakdown of the product. 

Highly competitive market? There was more competition for football management simulations back in the 80s when I was tapping away on my ZX Spectrum!

Things start to add up now, as when si released the new FM25 logo they had revised and made you agree to the new forum rules. They knew then the game was to be delayed and have anticipated the inevitable backlash by tightening the rules.

FM24 for me has been nearly 1300 hours in the editor. I'm looking forward to playing the game when I'm finished!

If they had fixed the AI squad development, and AI match management, FFP (which has never worked as far as I can see), & International management and called that FM25 then I'd have been delighted. 

What is so annoying is that they could fix these issues if they put the right resources into it, but unfortunately they down tools after the final March update each year to focus on the next iteration. 

So, instead of having a really polished game they end up with one that has the same bugs year in year out. 

There needs to be a change at the top, there needs to be a shake up.

I've been banned from posting on si forum, until I acknowledge my incredulous question of asking if miles will be considering his position? Valid question if you ask me. 

I've not come across that before. Is it clashing with the world cup squad being called up?

I had a feeling there were issues as the silence on the news drops for the new game was deafening. It is September 2024, and I have not played FM24 yet other than to test files. I am working on, and have been working on for what feels like an eternity, a revamped alternative International scene. Not much point really doing that for FM25 if you can't partake in it! If I buy FM25 then I'd have to re-do my files to suit fm25, which will no doubt have a tonne of bugs. It will be a year down the line, I will still be editing and saying how I have not played fm25 yet! 

I have to ask though, why completely drop the ability to manage at international level? If they weren't going to do anything to it, then just say so, but leave the option still there. Sounds to me like their major selling point for fm26 will be International management after all the 2026 world cup fever! Suspiciously like a deliberate business plan to me!!!

It's looking like it won't be for me this year, maybe in a year or two I'll consider it. I will stick with editing my fm24 world, to get it the way I want it, and then set out on an extremely long career game.

I found the same issue and couldn't understand why, but eventually discovered the custom skin I was using had logos that were overriding the ones I had put in the graphics folder. That's probably where your problem lies.

Hello @chrisisfast , I'm glad you are enjoying the file. It's interesting how you discovered Russia or Soviet Union / USSR aren't showing in the Add Favourite Team list. Belarus or CIS aren't there either. (The 2 nations I replaced). However if you scroll down you will see an 'x' and a 'y'. This is the original Belarus and Russia ID's. If you click the ‘y’ you will be able to choose your favourite team. I don't know if it is possible to add the new nations to that list. If I find out in the future I will add it. 

Regarding the league reputation…Unfortunately as soon as you amend the European competitions it breaks the coefficients and the league reputations stay static. There is nothing that can be done about that unless SI re-program the code.

The way the competitons are structured is detailed at the top of the page. Depending on domestic winners and winners of the continental trophies the amount of teams fluctuate slightly. Essentially the lowest rank nation(s) will not get entered in a season where teams are defending trophies. 

However, to use San Marino as an example, that is a massive challenge to get them to enter each year. To do that you'll need to get their world ranking to move into the top 54 European nations. 

So, to cut a long story short, nobody has been kicked out to make way for Russia. 

No not to this extent. Just the 80s style competitions with Russian teams able to play.

I was made aware of a problem with the First Round Second Leg matches clashing with International matches. Unbeknown to me the International fixture schedule changes from Sep 2026 onwards. This was causing a problem with players being on International duty when the second leg matches of the first round were being played. I have altered the European Continental calendar slightly, so all being well there will be no further problems. I have removed version 1 and added version 2 into the opening post.

In response to the FA's short sighted thinking to scrap replays, i've added an FA Cup file to the top of the post. 

It is compatible with the no2024 file that someone else has done. Just use my international file, russian file and Belarus file along with the other file that I mentioned. As far as I know there are no issues between the files so you play at your own risk. But I am confident all is good. 

I have holidayed 10 seasons and has worked fine.

I fixed my file @AiZaK , I had uploaded the wrong Russian file to this site. I've updated it on here now. Still can't guarantee other people's files will work 100% with mine, unless you get the original author to look into correcting their own file. 👍

Well done @namkhanh , I had an incorrect Russia file uploaded to this site. SORRY EVERYONE. Very annoying. I have put the correct file (Russian clubs return to competitions (910kb)) up now. 

I'll take a look later tonight, and re-upload things just to be sure. 

After a bit of delving into the problem you were having with strange Russian relegations and promotions, I noticed there was some inconsistencies with qualifying the correct teams for the European competitions. On the odd occasion a team did not qualify when they should have done. Looking at the original thread of the author of “No 2024 UEFA Competitions Format” on the SI website, it seems the last update screwed up the file. It was reposted by someone else which I guess is the download you used, but I can only assume that author hasn't fully fixed it. Or it's just not compatible with my superb 80s files! 😉

With this in mind I will now only back my files to work correctly. I cannot correct issues from other people's files as it is just too time consuming. Sorry!

OK, before I proceed with anything, your last screenshot looks different to mine.

Try this before I do anything. If you haven't already (for the sake of this), download the sortitoutsi Real Name Fix. Follow the instructions to the letter. There's a youtube video here: https://youtu.be/_KyTX7cfqtk . Make sure you follow those instructions and have deleted things from 2400 and 2430. Once you have the real name fix completed add my nation file into the lnc folder. Add it in to both the 2400 and 2430 lnc folders. Clear cache, reload….Tell me what happens on an existing save and a new save.

PS. I don't know what is going on with your strange promotions and relegations!!!

Can I ask does Russia OLD appear when you start a new save using the 4 files you used previously? I do believe when using Nations Inc file it will only apply to new games, not existing ones. 

Have you got the Nation file in the Inc folder? I have attached it here and you can put it in the following addresses:

As for your Lokomotiv Moscow problem? That is simply not happening to me when I use the exact files you have used. Did they fail FFP or something to get them relegated??? 

I have uploaded a save I just ran, using the 4 files you have used. I can see no issues there.

Hi, ok, I can't help you properly until this evening due to work getting in the way of my editing life! In the meantime can you try the following? 

• Setup a save without the extra file you used. What happens?
• Have you cleared cache and reloaded skin?
• What skin are you using?
• Try a save without the logos pack you have, what happens?
• Any chance of uploading your save file somewhere so I can download and have a look myself? (Mediafire is free if you haven't done that before).
• If you can't do the above, can you send me a screenshot of your editor data folder in My Documets and a screenshot of the files used within the game status tab in FM itself. You can see the files used by hovering the mouse over the amount of database changes.

You shouldn't be seeing Russia OLD.

Between us we will sort your problem out.
