I was made aware of a problem with the First Round Second Leg matches clashing with International matches. Unbeknown to me the International fixture schedule changes from Sep 2026 onwards. This was causing a problem with players being on International duty when the second leg matches of the first round were being played. I have altered the European Continental calendar slightly, so all being well there will be no further problems. I have removed version 1 and added version 2 into the opening post.

In response to the FA's short sighted thinking to scrap replays, i've added an FA Cup file to the top of the post. 

It is compatible with the no2024 file that someone else has done. Just use my international file, russian file and Belarus file along with the other file that I mentioned. As far as I know there are no issues between the files so you play at your own risk. But I am confident all is good. 

I have holidayed 10 seasons and has worked fine.

I fixed my file @AiZaK , I had uploaded the wrong Russian file to this site. I've updated it on here now. Still can't guarantee other people's files will work 100% with mine, unless you get the original author to look into correcting their own file. 👍

Well done @namkhanh , I had an incorrect Russia file uploaded to this site. SORRY EVERYONE. Very annoying. I have put the correct file (Russian clubs return to competitions (910kb)) up now. 

I'll take a look later tonight, and re-upload things just to be sure. 

After a bit of delving into the problem you were having with strange Russian relegations and promotions, I noticed there was some inconsistencies with qualifying the correct teams for the European competitions. On the odd occasion a team did not qualify when they should have done. Looking at the original thread of the author of “No 2024 UEFA Competitions Format” on the SI website, it seems the last update screwed up the file. It was reposted by someone else which I guess is the download you used, but I can only assume that author hasn't fully fixed it. Or it's just not compatible with my superb 80s files! 😉

With this in mind I will now only back my files to work correctly. I cannot correct issues from other people's files as it is just too time consuming. Sorry!

OK, before I proceed with anything, your last screenshot looks different to mine.

Try this before I do anything. If you haven't already (for the sake of this), download the sortitoutsi Real Name Fix. Follow the instructions to the letter. There's a youtube video here: https://youtu.be/_KyTX7cfqtk . Make sure you follow those instructions and have deleted things from 2400 and 2430. Once you have the real name fix completed add my nation file into the lnc folder. Add it in to both the 2400 and 2430 lnc folders. Clear cache, reload….Tell me what happens on an existing save and a new save.

PS. I don't know what is going on with your strange promotions and relegations!!!

Can I ask does Russia OLD appear when you start a new save using the 4 files you used previously? I do believe when using Nations Inc file it will only apply to new games, not existing ones. 

Have you got the Nation file in the Inc folder? I have attached it here and you can put it in the following addresses:

Clear cache and reload. What happens now?

As for your Lokomotiv Moscow problem? That is simply not happening to me when I use the exact files you have used. Did they fail FFP or something to get them relegated??? 

I have uploaded a save I just ran, using the 4 files you have used. I can see no issues there.

Hi, ok, I can't help you properly until this evening due to work getting in the way of my editing life! In the meantime can you try the following? 

• Setup a save without the extra file you used. What happens?
• Have you cleared cache and reloaded skin?
• What skin are you using?
• Try a save without the logos pack you have, what happens?
• Any chance of uploading your save file somewhere so I can download and have a look myself? (Mediafire is free if you haven't done that before).
• If you can't do the above, can you send me a screenshot of your editor data folder in My Documets and a screenshot of the files used within the game status tab in FM itself. You can see the files used by hovering the mouse over the amount of database changes.

You shouldn't be seeing Russia OLD.

Between us we will sort your problem out. 

You need to follow the instructions in the opening post. Make sure you have the correct editor files downloaded and ticked. International file, Russia file, & Belarus file are all needed for the names to be correct.

Of the downloads available, if you just want to have Russia and Belarus back to football life before the War in Ukraine, then download these 3 files: 

- UEFA REBOOTED - International file

- UEFA REBOOTED - Belarus file

- UEFA REBOOTED  - Russian clubs return to competitions

Set up a game with just those 3 files and you will get Russian clubs playing Continental football, and playing their matches on home soil, as do Belarus. The Russian national team will enter the International scene as well, playing Nations League, Euro qualifiers, and World Cup qualifiers. The Russian club ban is lifted after the first season in the game. Season 24/25 is where you will see them playing again. Belarus are active from 2023 season as UEFA / FIFA never banned them.

I've added this to the opening post to make things a little clearer.

Based on the world rankings on 10th July 2023, when the European competitions are set up. Croatia are 4th, Germany are 10th.

Having checked it out I don't think it will, as the creator says not to use any other fmf file with the retro database. Also the retro one is solely 24.0. My UEFA REBOOTED files are for 24.3

I don't know, maybe you can try it and let us know

Just a quick update to anyone interested. I had been having trouble with not being able to confirm squad registrations for Europe, but I seem to have cracked it and after some minor testing tonight, it appears to be working. An overnight holiday save is underway so I can test further, and provided I am satisfied with what I see, I aim to release this new version over the weekend. 

Hello mate, I've had a few last minute hiccups with my file. Problems with squad registrations not quite working right. Not helped with SI completely ignoring some issues in the editor which has slowed the whole process down and making me rethink certain things. Hopefully not too much longer.

Best thing to do is load the game without the editor files, run a holiday save, and see if you still have the problem. Then it's just a process of adding them in bit by bit to see what has caused it. 

I'm not sure I understand you. There was no bug, that is how I had originally set the player limits. I have changed this on the last update. Obviously this is for fm24 and not fm23. If you are using the fm23 version then the player limits will be there.

If you are still using fm23, you can use the pre game editor to change the player limits to how you want. 

Thanks @Curtains2720 . Can you believe I haven't played any of fm24 yet, so I'm real pleased you're enjoying the file. I was always happy leaving Lazio in, as they are the reigning champs after all! But I can tell you how to change it for a team of your choice, it's easily done. 

It may interest you to know that I've now almost got another update ready for release. In this version I have transferred all the ECWC details into the Europa Conference League ID. A nice little touch from doing this is the walkout anthem is now played for the ECWC matches. I am just in the process of sorting out the ad board hoardings of all 3 competitions so as to remove any references to the Champions League, Europa League, or Conference League.

I have also successfully introduced dynamic top seeded nations that change every 3 years for the EC and the ECWC. That is based on world rankings, so if a country is in the top 16 in Europe then the club representative will be a top seed and have a bye to the first round. 

On top of that I have recreated Russia so they now have world rankings working, they play in all international tournaments, and the club teams play on home soil. Throw in English based Welsh teams playing in the Welsh Cup and potentially qualifying for the ECWC, and the file has really developed over the years into a well rounded piece of work. 

Regarding Lazio: The easiest way to do it is to alter the history record of the ECWC in the editor. Either replace Lazio with the team you want, or add an extra year into the history with the team you want. 

What is the error message? And did you get them to work in the end?

I have added a new updated 80s file to the opening post. I have amended the squad selection rules to accommodate today's squads builds. I have also added FFP to match what it is currently. I did multiple tests with FFP but not one club failed it. So I hope it works ok. As usual let me know of any issues. Thanks, enjoy, and Happy New Year!
