So, what's going on?

Can someone help me with this?

I created the journalist in the editor - ok
The journalist appears in the press conference - ok
I created his face cutout - ok
I named the .png file with the unique ID shown in the editor - ok
I created the config.xml file with FMXML - ok

And his face doesn't appear in the game.

I renamed the png file to face_2002042501 - ok
I changed the code line in the Config.xml file to <record from="face_2002042501" to="graphics/pictures/person/r-2002042501/portrait"/> - ok

And his face doesn't appear in the game.

I don't know what else to do.

Can anyone give me an idea?

I managed to solve it!!!

There's a "serious" flaw that I would never have solved.

The game "messes up" the unique ID.

The journalist whose ID I created was 2002042501....
I added him as a physical trainer via the editor, to be able to see the ID in-game.

And to my surprise, the real ID was 2002042602.
In the editor it showed 2002042501 and in-game 2002042602.

Then I corrected the Config.xml file and it worked.

@V4MCJ-Br for anyone you create you need to put an r in front of the code in the config e.g.

person/r-2002042501/portrait

if you don't have the r- it won't work.

Yes, but if you notice, I put the 'r'.

I put it in the .png filename.
And I also put it in the config.xml file.

Someone please help me.

I created some journalists in the editor.

They already appear in the game.

However, they appear with a generic face (like a newgen).

I've tried everything to include their real face in the game and I can't.

Can someone help me?

Their ID in the game editor is 2002042501.

How should I name the file?

How do I include it in Config.xml? (or should I create a new config.xml?)
In short, help me make it work.

FM26 is not able to successfully process/handle more than one image with the same filename - even if they are different game item types.

To work around this, the faces were prefixed so there were no instances of duplicated file names when using our mega packs together.

When you say that, are you referring, for example, to faces with the same name as kits?
faces>123.png and kits>123.png?

Wouldn't it be better to delete the lnc, dbc, etc. files?

Just one "technical" question: What exactly happened to cause this change in the naming convention from 123.png to face_123.png?
I mean, why did the files that were named only with the player's ID stop working that way?
Sorry for the question, it's just that I like to know the reasons behind things.

For example:
the j_league_non_player file changes the names of presidents, coaches and other staff of Japanese teams.
The japan_loans file changes the Japanese teams' loans.

And these 3:
Japan.dbc
Japan_fake.dbc
and license.dbc
What do they actually change?
