There is not a simple answer to that question(s), but I'll try my best 🙂

 

City backgrounds are in fact club backgrounds and can only be used as that. There are no way of connecting pictures with city id's.

 

There are two types of stadium pictures: inside stadiums and stadium background pictures. The inside stadium pictures show on stadium views and various other places in the game depending on your choice of skin. Then there are stadium backgrounds that also show on stadium view and as a club background. You can in fact do a lot and switch things around, but that requires that you know how to make configs. We have a guide here and perhaps you can achieve what you want by reading this:

Thanks so much but it's not working. I downloaded v,0.1 beta, deleted the three folders, pasted the new ones, but English Premier Division and three-letter Brazilian clubs still stand. I reloaded skin and un-ticked cache. Any tips?

 

PS: I'm playing a carry-on of FM23 save into FM24.

Nope, sorted too now.

Very well observed indeed. It's a mistake because that file is not part of this download and should not have been included in that screenshot.

I've now released v1.2 to fix the B-SAD name issue too!

v1.1 is now out. It contains fixes to some minor Italian club names, other fixes proposed since yesterday and minor refinements to the Ajax staff file (thanks to @jkadms for his work on this!)

Is it possible to use the stadiums not as backgrounds but as stadium pictures?

So if you want to have the aerial stadium images in the place of the inside ones:

 

Set the little dot to background and stadium and the drag the “stadium_backgrounds” folder on to the app. Then open the config with notepad and press ctrl+h and replace “background” with “stadium” and press replace all.

Config lines need to look like this:  <record from="xxxx" to="graphics/pictures/stadium/xxxx/stadium"/>

All you need to do is remove the hashtags 😉

If you open the club names inc file and search for Juventus, remove the hashtag from the beginning of the lines with ‘Juventus Next Gen’ in them. This is save game compatible too 🙂 

@unbroken and @GDragon2306, it's all explained in the first post. Please read it carefully again. I can't really type it all over again. You open the lnc file with Notepad (or a similar program) and remove the hashtag in front of that entry. It's that easy.

Some have had the editor prior to today , plenty of testers out there ;-)

So far so good for all graphic mods, balls, ads, pitches etc

The English file makes the sub rule change to the Premier League to reflect real life.

Yes, but that particular change is not save-game compatible and needs to be in place before the save game is started.

I don't know about you, but complaining about it on the SI forums or reddit, is like shouting at a fart. Nah mate, I doubt much will change even if it became a big debate, which it wont. 

Oh man, that is a big disappointment. I think @Tommy Hughes post says it all. Completely agree.  Unfortunately, I absolutely do think this will extend to kits, skins, logo, real names  … basically all mods in the near future.

 

This is only the begning, the end is very clear. Modding is a dying concept. Money talks, and players like us might just walk away, as this game without mods, is not worth it anymore. They do not give a flying **** about a few nerds getting upset. 

The reality is, most players do not use mods, and SI might go down the road of using DLC, but it will never be anywhere near the levels of details as the mod community have given us.  This is a sad day, and I hate painting all walls in black, but I really don't see any sort of positive outcome for us.

I only made 1 small project in cooperation and that's it. I do not work with her right now and not going to in the future 🙂
