VAR can be very annoying and irritating in FM 21. A bit like in real life. Every time one of my players has a goal referred to VAR it always, and I mean every single time, is returned as GOAL DISALLOWED - OFFSIDE. There doesn't seem to be any give and take in the feature.

The search field in the editor this year is real-time, i.e. like FM itself, it gives you a drop-down list of options based on the text you've input. This means it checks the whole database when you type not just when you press search. This means that if your system isn't strong enough to handle it, it'll be very slow to react.

I've bought and downloaded FM20 today and when I do a search in the Data Editor on the name of a person then after I've input 5/6 characters of the person's name the editor locks up, I cannot input any more characters, I cannot delete what I've put and I cannot close the editor. In fact my whole laptop is frozen. Never ever had a problem with using data editor over previous years. I've done the obvious like delete the cache and re-download the Editor program but no luck. Any ideas please.

In FM2018 I have a player Srdjan Babic and PSG have declared an interest in him. Prior to any offer coming in for him it would be good to be able to talk to the player and ask how he feels about any possible move. Ask him if he's looking to move on or if he'd rather stay put. At the moment FM does not allow this kind of conversation which would happen in real life. Comments appreciated.

The board very often increases the number of staff that you are allowed to employ when the team is exceeding expectations and / or when you gain promotion. If the board has reduced the number of advised staff I guess that it is is not happy with the progress that your team is achieving.

I've just won Serie A with Parma and we're in the Italian Cup final so they should be happy!!

In the 'BOARD' window, bottom left section 'STAFF' the number of staff I am Advised I can have changes occassionally of it's own accord throughout a playing season. Currently I am a month away from the end of season and the number of first team coaches advised has changed from 6 to 5 and the board keep telling me I am overstaffed. Does anybody know of any particular reason for this or is it a bug in FM2018?

Think the only way is to offer him a new contract as the U18 manager, guessing you mean the U18 assistant as no chance your first team assistant will take the job!

Yes I did mean to offer the U18 Assistant manager the job of U18 Manager but when I offered a contract it kept defaulting to U18 Assistant manager. It's as if they didn't want to be promoted to Manager

I play FM 2018. My U18 Manager has moved on to another club so there is a staff vacancy for this position. I want to promote my Assistant Manager to that role but I can't work out if it's possible to do it. Can anybody help?

I think it's very mean of FM to remove the facility to add your own manager picture in Preferences in version 17.3. Would it have really hurt them to keep this option available? Why have they done it? It was a nice option to have. It smacks of bullying. C'mon FM reinstate it.
