FAO to everyone posting in here, there are so many vague questions it's impossible to help anyone. Please try and add more detail to your posts explaining exactly the steps you've taken.

If you're saying something like “I renamed all the faces to faces_ and it's not working” that's not a detailed enough explanation because it doesn't explain what you downloaded, how many files you have, whether you edited the config.xml, what tools you used to edit it.

Instead add 5+ bullet points explaining the steps you took one by one so it's clear for anyone trying to help you.

If you don't do that then it's going to take forever as we back and forth responding to every individual comment asking the same basic questions.

What is FMGC?

Are you saying you deleted the config file and created your own (presumably using FM XML)? If so that is probably your problem and i'm not sure why you would do that.

If you're not saying that please can you try and describe in more detail the steps you're taking.

@Bryan Cheetham please don't tag specific moderators like that demanding attention, people will respond when they can.

As far as i'm aware there's not a use case for the no date version right now, which is why it's not visible on the main data update page. If you're finding it being promoted somewhere else on the site please let me know so I can remove it or add a warning.

Otherwise can you please explain your use case or why a no date version is required?

Also please provide more information, screenshots or copies of the error message are very helpful.

Just posting “it says there was an error” is not very helpful unfortuantely.

I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to in regards the 25/26 fixtures.

Can you be more explicit in describing your setup?

Most likely you are using files that are incompatible with one another.

@Bryan Cheetham it's just when a moderator can get to it, some moderators only focus on specific nations and leagues they know well 

Every save is different, he is 19 years old so some saves he is good enough and some he isn't, there's alot that can't be controlled about that.

@Gabriele Rossi  I don't fully understand what you're saying but I think you are asking if you can mix faces named “123.png” and “faces_123.png” together, which you can't.

If that's what you're asking please be clearer by sharing what is in your faces folder.

(1) If you've only got “New Player for FM26” for faces that is only a few thousand new wonderkids added by our data update, not all 300k+ faces. It looks like you did download the full cut out faces pack back on November 8th, is that working?

(2) Have you closed FM26 at least twice (i'm guessing yes).

(3) To confirm you have the right folder are your save games available at “C:\Users\sigal\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2026\games\”

(4) The dbc, edit and inc folders should not be in “my documents” they should be in “Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Football Manager 26\shared\data\database\db\2600”

(5) You said you have an “editor data” folder within your “editor data” folder e.g. “editor data/editor data” this is wrong, the contents of the “editor data” folder (i.e. fmf files) should be in “C:\Users\sigal\AppData\Local\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 26\editor data”

It would be good if the desires for extra attributes where documented so that eventually the online system could be updated to accomodate them.

It needs updating since FM26 did an official update and I haven't had the time to fix it yet because an official update means alot of things need updating.

@wfm18  Originally the problem was FMF's had to be created manually and this was alot of work, now that we can create FMF's automatically we can split them into a new file I just haven't gotten round to it yet.

Is there a reason not to add the players from your talents file to the sites DB?

If someone is French, or any other language, and using a browsers translation functionality to translate English > French it won't translate your message.

We also require English because it creates the least amount of work for the most amount of people.

If 1000 people read your comment what's better.

(1) You copy and paste into a translator once and paste the English (you could post the original alongside it if you wished…)

(2) 1000 people are forced to copy and paste your message into a translator.

Clearly (1) is better for the most number of people, therefore we ask you to please post your comment in English.

@Quectar the pre game editor was only updated today so now i've been able to fix it.

@BrynCoughlan we've done our best to remove duplicates but if you find a one you can help fix it yourself by adding the players FM ID.

(2) Enter the FM ID in the input field which is: 2000370206

I've done this player already

You only needed to download 2026.01 complete but if you downloaded 2026.00 complete then yes you will need 2026.01 changes as well on top of it.

@Gabriele Rossi all I can say is read the first post…

It is very clear from your screenshot that that the files you downloaded are from October and November and we did a breaking change on December 1st. You need to update your files because of that breaking change.

EITHER

(1) Delete all your faces and download the 2026.01 pack.

OR

(2) Rename all your faces yourself and then download the 2026.01 changes pack.

I would suggest that (1) is easier, but it's up to you.

Do not do both.

It is better to have a separate folder. They are done alpha numeric order so just make sure your custom faces are after the sortitoutsi ones e.g.

sortitoutsi/faces/123.png
zzz my df 11 faces/123.png

I've just implemented a quick fix for the chairperson issue. However I am waiting on SI to properly fix it right now the game has bugs with these types of people.

Please let me know if the issue continues after tomorrow.

We publish a new update every day for free members and every 20 minutes for paid members.

The new config alone won't work you'll still need the 2026.01 changes file, if you previously had the 2026.00 update.

Apologies everyone this was my fault the build process not being properly updated to handle the renaming.

It should be fixed now if you redownload 2026.01.

The pre game editor and main game now have different databases and they haven't updated the pre game editor.

It's stupid but we have to wait.

So far they've said nothing.
