Could you share more about the problems you're having with these details? Is it just matching the ID's?

What do you mean by “their detail” i'm not sure which attributes you're referring to?

I'm not sure what advise there would be to add, it's just a case of writing the XML, of course there is a huge amount of work mapping all the property ID's.

This site has all of that, but unfortunately it's all in PHP scripts which are very tightly coupled to the site's CMS, so it's not really shareable the way a small Python package would be.

But I would very much suggest allowing collaboration, with forms that anyone can submit to, rather than a forum thread where you would still have to do a huge amount of manual work to do.

I want to set something that up myself, obviously we already have 20,000 new players added, but new clubs, stadiums and competitions are a little more tricky.

Either way we should definitely try and collaborate on this.

Are you also interested in women's football? I believe there will be a huge amount of work to do to add all the women's leagues as well

I just change it so that in the future each <record> will be on a new line, I hadn't realised they were all on one line like that.

Now that the data update is built every 20 minutes, the files are automatically dynamic. Whenever you download the attributes will be slightly different.

In the past the attributes where done once a month which is why we gave you multiple files to swap between yourself.

Only a moderator can do this via the Pre Game Editor, please report any leagues that you think aren't up to date in more detail

What do you mean by “have new stadiums coming soon”? As far as I can remember there's no such “coming soon” feature in the backgrounds pack and they're not in the data update?

I realise you will probably assume I remember how everything on the site works, but I don't always so please try and help me out by explaining things.

It would probably be alot easier if multiple people are collaborating on it.

As you probably already know I already have extensive tools for doing this sort of thing in bulk e.g. generating every player from Greenland or Northern Cyprus based on data from TransferMarkt, SofaScore, FotMob etc

@kubease I can confirm it is cancelled, this was just a UI bug I will get it fixed.

Transfers are a different thin all together. I'll only update it when seasons end.

It seems like they have really downgraded the club selection screen compared to the original mockups released last year. Why do you think that is?

(1) Simpler is better

(2) They didn't have time

(3) It wasn't technically possible

I much prefer the old mockup and sad to see we didn't get it, even if it is only a tiny part of the game that we'll barely actually touch.

@RT7 They have .png in the name but they are actually webp. Just because the extension says .png doesn't mean it actually is png.

Are you on Mac or Windows?

Can you walk me through the process because right now I don't understand and have no way of figuring it out for myself.

1. You find the Robinho Jr photo online e.g. on his Twitter

2. You save it from Twitter to your computer

3. You create a zip of lots of images

4. You upload the zip somewhere

5. lost3 downloads the zip

6. lost3 edits the images

7. lost3 sends you the new zip

8. You upload the zip to the submission system

In that example scenario the image is never being downloaded from anywhere other than Twitter and the different download buttons on this website don't matter.

But i'm guessing my example is wrong and that's not what's happening so can you please explain what is happening?

@RT7 yes you are right that's why I asked where the images where coming from

If the process is

(1) Download image from randomfootballwebsite.com 
(2) Crop in Photoshop

(3) Save

(4) Upload

Then that means randomfootballwebsite.com is showing webp images and there's nothing we can do about it and person downloading from there just has to be careful to convert them.

But I wondered if the images are being posted on Sort It Out SI somewhere, maybe in a forum post or a private message and then being downloaded in which case we need to instruct whoever is downloading them to download the correct way or change the UI to make it easier.

What's confused me is that as far as I can tell there is no history of this happening in the past its only just suddenly happened now with your submissions from this month. So something has changed or is different and i'd like to understand what to make sure it doesn't happen in future.

So you're saying that @lost3 is doing the downloading and we have to ask him because you have no idea where the images are coming from? Why does lost3 send them to you for uploading?

@RT7 the issue above seems to be caused by your uploads.

It looks like you've been uploading lots of player faces that are actually webp not png even if they have png as an extension. Can you please make sure you upload in the right format.

Can you also tell me where you're getting the faces from that's causing this? Are you downloading them from somewhere else on this site or from another website?

Yes @Esmir777 please upload the file properly.

It takes a long time to load all the changes you just have to be patient.

If you are using the Player Histories file then remove that one. But all the others are required.

@Thomas P Kendell we can't really help you without more information. Can you provide any more information such as a screenshot your editor data folder?
