@andyinasia , for players, if you have time and can source information, please do add to the data update. 

So far, Lowland, Highland, WOS Premier are all covered comprehensively (within last two weeks, so more than there was a few weeks back). There might be one or two that have slipped under the radar, but for most teams, data was available and any player in the database has been moved to the correct clubs.  Highland data in the database can still carry very old or very young players, the older ones have often retired but hang around, and the younger can't be found easily on club feeds, so it's a bit of guesswork as to whether a 16 year old is still at a club etc. If you know Highland well (or anyone does), then loading a new game with the latest update and skimming the squads to find any that are out of date would be a massive help.

WOS1, WOS2, WOS3 and WOS4 are done, but depth by team is highly variable. There are lots of players that are in older databases, but not this one. Some clubs have full squads; a few, like Maryhill, have no players in the current database. 

Re-reviewing EOS Premier has started, with the top 5 in the table well covered so far. However, detail online is really variable, so a club like Jeanfield Swifts, who are fairly big, now have all available incoming transfers done, but finding out who has left the club is hard as their squad data is not updated on their site. 

I aim to finish EOS and the single SOS league within a week across all stages, and then move to the Midland, Caley and North leagues.

There are also a couple of really good prolific updaters in Rob and Brockie who always pick up loans from higher levels and anything that comes through directly on transfermarkt too as well as others they spot, so by the time we get to mid January, the vast majority of data that can be updated across the pyramid will have been. It is then maintenance and January window (which matters less at lower levels than it does in the higher leagues).

Only advice would be not to rely too much on transfermarkt for current squads below League 2. Transfers from this season on there are mainly fine unless very recent moves, but their squad data at these levels is often well out of date, with players to have left years ago still listed in the squad sections. Where possible use the club website squad section if you think it is up to date or get a lineup from a twitter or facebook feed from the official club channels and search from there, then update. 

My own aim is to start a new save the day after the transfer window shuts, with William's file, and broadly up to date squads across the entire pyramid from the sortitoutsi update.  Any missing managers are simply because they are not in the database. 

The ideal, albeit hard to come by, is what the guys from Portugal do, whereby they collaborate and take a lower league each, and fire in updates as much as they can. I will get this review done, and know the contributors mentioned, plus some others, will also update on an ongoing basis, but the most manageable way would be if we had four or five of us with certain leagues or clubs to update. Easier said than done, as once I go back to work, I won't have time to review every team again until I am next off work and would imagine the same would be true of everyone else. I'll keep pushing just now to try to get as much covered as I can within the next week. Hopefully EOS Premier be done by the end of today. 

No official confirmation from either club yet, can be added again if/when confirmed, but left for a week in the hope the deal would be confirmed, with nothing so far.

Just noticed that in the WoS Division 1, one promotion/relegation has been missed. Vale of Clyde should be in WOS1, and Whitletts Vics in WoS Division 2.

Thanks for updating, this is brilliant. 

Not sure if related to this file, but have noticed when using it that after the split, the Premiership only allows you to select seven subs rather than nine as per reality. Before the split, it works as intended. 

On a side note, for any avid lower league fans, about 400 updates in the past fortnight to the sortitoutsi update covering Lowland, Highland, WOS Premier, WOS First, WOS Second and halfway through WOS third. Plan to keep going with all leagues to get the database as accurate as possible but it takes ages. 

Incredibly hard to source squad details the lower you go, also, many players are not in the database, especially after tier 6. 

@ManciniPica , thanks for these as always, but please try to use the 2024/25 profile, as when checking the source, it adds time if the profile is the 2023/24 page. Thanks

If the transfer is to a club within the FM database that is ‘extinct’, even if in real life the club is active, please set as free transfer, as the player cannot be placed in an extinct club in game.

It may be translation issues when I access the site, but the link does not appear to go to this player's profile. I could not find him listed at either his new or old club either. 

Link is for another player. I tried to find a profile on zerozero but couldn't, also tried new and old squads, but sometimes translation software changes names. If you can resubmit with correct link then I can action. Thanks.

Thanks mate, happy to trust you for this one, the problem for moderators is the site still shows them on the squad list. Are the others ones listed as ‘transfers out’ on the transfer page? I know they will usually update it to say ‘no club'. Will release this player. Thanks

I know a few players from this specific club show as ‘inactive’ on zerozero but the players still show as at the club and on the squad list. Can sort out if zerozero or transfermarkt confirm. Only applies to a handful like this one from this club. Thanks

Thanks, even if not extinct in real life, if the FM24 database has the club as extinct we can't transfer them there, so need to release on a free. If you find others going to extinct database clubs then might be easier to set them as free transfer and put a comment in to make it easier for the reviewer. Thanks.

You can try mate, but the advanced rules from one version to another often won't work if it adds custom or altered competitions. Things like pre-season tournaments often don't work

Hi, this is yet to be confirmed, and the article states that it is not yet official. Will be sorted out as soon as confirmed by the club.

The official site of his new club has the announcement of his transfer and includes him on their squad list. 

Transfermarkt also shows his transfer in line with last update.

Has he returned on loan? I can see the last match he played for his former club was in August, before his transfer date.

While highly likely to happen in the next few days, this one has not been confirmed by the club yet, and the article references it happening soon. Can't go ahead until officially announced. 

The source links to a post about a youth football outing. Not sure if there is another source within the same Instagram profile but I can't see it? This player profile is for a 20yr old Goalkeeper but there does not appear to be any mention of him in the post and I can't find another source to verify that he has been released or retired (as set to non-player in this update entry).

The update cannot be used to change the player's nationality. The section on national team data is for non-players, in the event that they join as a member of coaching staff, manager, physio etc. 

I understand you are trying to input that they are eligible to play for Indonesia as a nation, but this update is to assign club contracts, not player nationality. You could load the data editor and alter nationality status there, but it can't be captured via this update.
