Re-submitted a second time to tidy up remnant loan details. Please accept second submission (core details of transfer are the same in both).
#816243 Site issues - reporting thread
M.C
Not sure if this is affecting others - but for about the last 18-20 hours, the ‘Browse Database’ element of the site appears to be unreachable. When I visit https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update/database, I am presented with the following graceful error page/message:
“We are so sorry but it seems our website encountered an error. Please visit the feedback and support forum to report what happened and we'll look to get it fixed straightaway.”
Querying the database in order to contribute Data Update submissions does not seem to be impacted - I have been able to submit those just fine.

Correcting submission - incorrectly selected the (extinct) second team previously.
#816019 Snayder Laines

Unable to find Chonqging Handa FC in the database, hence releasing.
#815945 FM24 English Lower Leagues Database
M.C
That’s correct - you will need to sacrifice the England league update that is part of this site’s data update, as it can’t be active when this lower league DB is active.

Apologies, submitted this in error. Please disregard this data submission!
#810344 Mohamed Amine Meskini

Could not locate club in database; therefore setting to Released.
#810338 Adrián Morales

Releasing directly from Patacona as his transfer to Orihuela CF was never reflected in the Data Update.
#810214 Alexandru Anton

Please note: Gloria Ultra is the new name for the club formerly known as Rapid Brodoc.
#810197 Fedor Lebedev
M.C
Fedor Lebedev has been released by Minsk, according to the following source: https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fedor-lebedev/profil/spieler/898120
Cannot ‘submit’ this change as it is effectively reverting back to the original database's position. Can a moderator disable the current submission affecting him and that should put things right?
#807209 Mamadou Traoré
M.C
Correct submission is the later one - transferred to CD Castellón (not CD Castellón B). Typo!
#803027 Not able to use Enhanced data update on Mac
M.C
Just in case it helps, the (default) location for Workshop items on MacOS is:
/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/workshop/content/
Within the ‘content’ folder, you'll have a list of folders with names that are strings of numbers - each of those is a game. It'd be interesting to browse to that location and see if there is anything there.
#803020 Not able to use Enhanced data update on Mac

Sorry, I think I’ve reached my limit of knowing what else to suggest…not familiar with FM 24 installation on MacOS enough to know where to suggest to look next. Hopefully someone with more direct knowledge can come along and help soon!
#802957 Not able to use Enhanced data update on Mac
M.C
Just to double-check - in your screenshot, it's showing you the view of ‘Your Items’ (in this context, that's things you've created and shared in the Steam Workshop). A little further down, on the right, you'll see ‘Subscribed Items’. Click that and see what shows up.
If you see them listed, there, from that list you can unsubscribe to each one (and there may be an ‘unsubscribe all’ button somewhere, too).
#802953 Not able to use Enhanced data update on Mac
M.C
Ah, OK - so those other data update files are actually ones you've effectively ‘subscribed to' via Steam then, I suspect. I hadn't even considered that possibility, TBH, as I never really use community content for Football Manager from Steam.
One way you can try and remove the other mod content is to look for those items in your ‘Subscribed Items’ in Steam. From the main Steam application (and this is, admittedly, in Windows), you can go via SteamUsername -→ Content -→ Workshop Items -→ Subscribed Items. This'll show you a list of every workshop item you're subscribed to. I bet they will be on that list and you can unsubscribe from them, there.
That, in itself, won't solve the problem of installing the SortitoutSI update, but it'll be a start for getting you a clean install that doesn't have other modded content kicking around.
#802946 Not able to use Enhanced data update on Mac
M.C
I'm not a user of MacOS day-to-day, but know my way around enough to hopefully help/support.
From what you've described, it sounds to me that you've not correctly located the folder to drop the SortitoutSI data update files into. The main reason I think this is the case is that you state you've deleted the other update's files, yet it still appears. My instincts tell me you had them in (at least) two locations and deleted them from one, but the one being read by the game.
Are you able to confirm the full path of the ‘editor data’ folder in your last screenshot?
Alongside that, in terms of the approach I'd take - try and locate the ‘old’ update files, first. They will be somewhere. They should be in the following location, given they are being recognised by the game:
/Users/YOURNAME/Library/Application Support/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2024/editor data/
If you can find that location, you should see a list of files matching those that you can enable on starting a new game. If you can find that location and there are no files in there, or you cannot find that location because it does not exist, then I'd be interested to know which games platform you own FM 24 through? Because I wonder if one of Epic Games, or similar, install to a different default location.
If for any reason you cannot locate that ‘editor data’ folder path, then I'd advise using whatever the built-in files search function is on MacOS to look for one of the files you have installed that is showing up (for example the ‘FM 24 Wonderkids’ file). That may lead you to the location they are on your system and, at the same time, lead you to the location where you need to copy the SortitoutSI data update files in one fell swoop.
Sorry for the non-specific advice - hopefullly something of the above can help.
#802908 English Lower Leagues - Metallic Logos - Levels 18-20 (Levels 11-17 WIP)
M.C
The realisation that the club IDs dynamically change between saves (dependent on the custom editor data files someone is playing with) meant I lost momentum…as such, I only really went as far as also doing Level 17 for my own personal use (and I've got about 200 of the way through Level 16).
I will try and pick it back up and reorganise what I have done to give each club for which I've created a logo an easily-readable name (i.e. based on the club name, rather than club's unique ID in my game)…but it is a bit of a slog. Ideally, I'd create a script that can create the XML file dynamically but, again, that's a bit of work that I just haven't quite had time/motivation to do.
For those earlier commenters for whom it isn't working - it is likely due to the dynamic club IDs, unfortunately.
#802317 SS' kits 24/25 WIP Thread

I’m already in the process of working through them. Uploading them via the SS kits submission system as I go…

#801897 Belgium Nationale League - Kit Pack
M.C
Of the styles supported via this website, I think the SS' Kits are the ones with the widest coverage - so I'll assume that is the style you're after.
Unfortunately, as with many things like this, the coverage does get worse as you go down the divisions. To that end, I had a quick look and this is what exists that has been activated for the Belgian third tier: https://sortitoutsi.net/graphics/browse/2/2656.
For the SS' Kits, the site operates a ‘requests’ function which is the best way to flag that you're keen for someone to produce a particular club. The general concept is that the requestor submits source images that can help the creator make the in-game kit.
For Olympic Charleroi, you would visit https://sortitoutsi.net/graphics/browse/2/11244/timelinem, click on Upload Image and choose ‘Source’. Then upload the reference image(s) as you see fit. This puts it in a queue and there are creators that look to pick off those requests and do them. Once done, they get uploaded, activated and then subsequently become part of the megapack (I believe).
#801814 SS' Official Kits Thread (NO REQUESTS)
M.C
Noted - I will familiarise myself with the visual differences; I must admit, having grabbed all of the latest template megapack, I assumed all of the templates had the new style ‘bolted in’ to the individual PSD files. I will revisit the ones I have published and look to iterate them into the new style ASAP.

A couple more Jupiler Pro League teams filled out. Cercle Brugge home & away for 2024/25, as well as the away and third kits for Charleroi for 2024/25 (home kit had already been created and submitted).

Working my way through the Belgium Jupiler Pro League, club by club. All kits are from 2024/25. Those pictured below have been submitted on the site. They really do love a complicated, sublimated design this season.
#801279 SS' kits Template Thread
M.C
It's ‘possible’ in the sense that it can be done - but in reality, the kit styles that are popular/supported by the creator community on this site don't include shorts.
Making a new style that includes the shirt and shorts and then providing the 100s / 1000s of templates, in PSD format, would be a massive undertaking and given how established the three kit styles are, I don't think it's a realistic possibility.
#801145 Royal Antwerp FC
M.C
Re-uploaded the third kit as it was missing one of the pinstripes/tram-lines. I am not sure if I have re-uploaded in the way I am supposed to - I uploaded the new/correct one as a ‘response’.
#801060 SS' kits 24/25 WIP Thread
M.C
I've had a look around and I believe netiher Belgium nor France have any new SS kits available. As such, I'm happy to take those on - so if I'm allowed to be put down to be working on these, great.
I'll start with the top divisions in each country and move down their respective pyramids as time allows.
#801034 Introducing Project Classic FM - The biggest update for FM24 and a long goal to keep the old generation of FM alive
M.C
As far as the core data update is concerned, if you have a previous SortItOutSI Data Update and you have now downloaded the one branded as ‘Classic FM’ - you will want to replace the former with the latter.
In practice, the previous update contained a total of 33 files, all of which start with: "sortioutsi.net FM 24 Data Update". You will want to delete all 33 of those files from your \editor data\ folder.
The core ‘Classic FM’ update contains a total of 41 files and you will want to place all of those in your \editor data\ folder.
Within the core 41 files, one of those is the ‘Non Dynamic Data’ file and that is the default way that Football Manager games work. Player abilities, club finances and other variables are fixed in every start. Now, if you want player abilities and club finances to have a level of variation between your saves, the ‘Classic FM’ update provides ten ‘flavours’ of variation that are optional to install. From the update's readme, it describes the way it works as follows:
"These files modify the player abilities and club finances for every player and club in the game. Each player is rated differently in every file, although this isn't random, they are rated within a realistic range. By using one of these files each save will be different with players having slightly different ability meaning different wonderkids and players over 30 deteriorating faster or slower."
To use one of those ‘variable’ setups, my understanding is that you'd pick one of the ‘Dynamic Data’ files (at random) and add that to your \editor data\ folder. You'd also remove the file named “Classic FM - Non Dynamic Data.fmf”. When you start a game, the ‘Dynamic Data’ file will result in some randomisation of player abilities and club finances. There is no description, that I can see, defining the specific differences between the files numbered 1-10. My guess is that they all have higher/lower levels of variance from one another.
#800853 Introducing Project Classic FM - The biggest update for FM24 and a long goal to keep the old generation of FM alive
M.C
@Footygamer - I popped across to SortItOutSI after a bit of a hiatus to the news that the database update seems to have been rebranded and rolled into something much larger (at least, that is my take on it).
Can I just check - will the concept of this community still driving the data update continue? That is, can we still contribute to the data update? Is the ‘Classic FM’ update effectively a replacement for the SortItOutSI database update in its previous guise? I assume so.
How would you like us to volunteer to help you with this project? I am going to sign up/subscribe because, frankly, I'm indebted to this database update for providing me the most reliable source of an updated game world for years and years. But I'd also like to help out with the project, overall; noting that there is a lot planned.
