Decided to give Fallout 3 another go. I bought the game years ago, played it for a while then left it for ages and couldn't remember what I was doing or going so just left it. Starting a new game this morning, consistently heard good things from others so need to play it really.

Watched Hanna again last night. A fairy tale with a child assasain as the princess, Cate Blanchett as the evil stepmother, an awesome soundtrack by the Chemical Brothers and Eric Bana fucking shit up.

This scene is amazing:

Suarez's second goal yesterday was the best 'fuck off!' to the opposition fans I've seen in a while

Liverpool were glorious yesterday, more of that please. Although two individual errors led to goals AGAIN, so that's still a problem.

Once they get cut out the Premier League will be ashes.

I still really liked Prometheus despite its flaws. Technically its stunning imo, its just a shame the script is a bit of a mess.

Yeah we do seem to have a habit of getting into horribly petty arguments that end up a mile away from where it started. Especially me and Ninja

It's not a contradiction in the slightest.

I'm saying you could do it, I could see why you'd do it. But you're wrong to do it.

You can interpret it however you want, it doesn't stop that interpretation being wrong.

Right, this is my last post on this because if you don't agree with me then you're clearly being deliberately stubborn and obtuse.

You are telling me there is absolutely no way somebody can be offended by what was sung? You're saying there is categorically no way that somebody can attribute that song to being as about Hillsborough? Absolute zero way you could interpret it that way? Because if you can then the interpretation is not wrong, and being offended by it isn't wrong. You even say it here:

Nah it clearly is a reference to the self pity City myth and the perceived victim mentality that Liverpool fans have. It's clearly a reference to conspiracy theories, Rafa's facts and yes at it's grubbier ends of that reputation Heysel and, formerly Hillsborough admittedly.

Except that we established at the start of this argument that Always the Victims doesn't fit.

I can't see how you can't understand why we would want to point out that a song very commonly heard at Old Trafford is not about Hillsborough. no ones said that it's not badly timed, no ones said that it's ridiculous to interpret it that way all that's being said is that the offense that Liverpool fans are taking from the song is misplaced.

IF I'M BEING AWKWARD THEN SO ARE YOU FOR CONSISTENTLY IGNORING THIS POINT.

You're contradicting yourself. You agree that you could interpret that song as having references to Hillsborough and that singing that song on that day was bad? THAT IS THE ENTIRE POINT.

So why aren't you complaining about the chant of 'murderers' as opposed to 'Always the Victim'?

Surely that would be the story here rather than stretching it's always the victim to fit?

I'M COMPLAINING ABOUT BOTH.

BOTH FIT. BOTH SOUND LIKE THEY'RE ABOUT HILLSBOROUGH. BOTH COULD BE OFFENSIVE TO PEOPLE. WHY ARE YOU BEING SO AWKWARD?!

ARRGGGHH.

Yes, but you're pretty conveniently ignoring the fact that any offence is coming form a deliberate misinterpretation.

The link to Hillsborough is tenuous, but you're making it sound like we were signing about pissing on the graves of the 96.

The fact that's its not DIRECTLY referring to Hillsborough is irrelevant. Can you not see how the average person who heard that United fans had sung 'always the victim, its never your fault' followed by 'murderers!' on the day that the Hillsborough victims were being remembered would think that was a bad thing to do? Its not bloody difficult to understand.

I'm getting really bored of this now, but I think its pretty fucking obvious why people would be offended at that song being sung on THAT SPECIFIC DAY. That's the reason its being highlighted and that's the reason its being talked about. That's not hard to comprehend.

Its also incredibly boring hearing 'look at these stupid comments by Liverpool fans! your club is forcing your fans to be stupid by feeding you conspiracy theories and false assumptions!!'. No, its just that as a big club there's going to a fair share of idiot fans who like to think everybody hates them. They are also the select few fans that go on the internet to tell everybody this.

Worth noting that Rafa was instrumental in 'upgrading' the academy by bringing in a new structure and hiring new coaches to oversee development, not to mention actually signing some of the youngsters like Suso and Sterling. He definitely deserves a lot of credit.

They have made a very public attack on the performance of the referee and on the integrity of Fergie and Valencia, with little basis on facts. Whether it was done in such a cynical way as a club-run cover-up or unintentionally, the fact is they have came out and made these comments.

Little basis on facts? We didn't get a penalty that was a foul. You didn't get a man sent off for a reckless challenge. We gave away a very soft penalty and had a man sent off for a similar challenge to the aforementioned. I think that's plenty of reason to complain about decisions.

And boo fucking hoo, Fergie is the absolute master of talking about referees and shifting attention to others whilst his own methods are questionable.

Maybe because he actually said a racist word in English whereas Suarez said a Spanish word that alludes to race? I dunno.

But its the FA, their decisions are often bizarre and inconsistent

You do realise trying to claim that it's never your fault is a song about Hillsborough makes no sense anymore?

Yes, that's why singing it makes it even more moronic.

EDIT: I don't give a shit if United fans want to sing that song at OT or wherever from now on, but singing that at Anfield on Sunday specifically and then claiming its got nothing to do with Hillsborough was not on. I'm just pointing out it happened, and I'm glad that it was reported and shown to people.

There's always going to be shitty songs aimed at people, that's just football, but it clearly does have undertones towards Hillsborough, and just because its actually about Suarez it doesn't make it alright.

I don't think anyone can defend singing it that day but ultimately it was all back at the fans who made Munich gestures to the United fans. Wrong on both sides but that chant isn't about Hillsborough.

Even if there were Munich gestures (I've only heard that it was one or two - and even then nobody seems to be talking about it at all - excuses maybe?) then the United fans are just as bad for retaliating by singing those songs. I don't care what you say, that song is clearly referencing Hillsborough in some way. And chanting 'murderers' is just bizarre and quite sad really.

Well Rodgers, Gerrard and Johnson have spent every interview since speaking about how none of the key decisions were right (even though they were) giving the impression they've been screwed by Halsey, this mentality filters down to the moronic 'fans' and we have vile attacks on twitter. Directly or indirectly, key figures within the club have blamed the referee for Liverpool not winning the match, Johnson is even lying saying he didn't touch Valencia, despite video proof that he does and Shelvey accused Fergie of getting him sent off. They're blaming everyone but themselves, and so are the fans, but this result is not a one off.

Exactly.I don't see how chanting 'murderers' at the police re: Hillsborough,is different to the same chant towards Liverpool fans re:Heysel, but one seems to be ok and the other not.

Also are you trying to suggest that its a club-run attempt to blame the referee to cover up our own failings? Fuck me.

"Always the victim, its never your fault" may have only started since the Suarez affair, but its clearly got undertones to alluding to Hillsborough. A stupid song to sing at Anfield on that day. End of story.

Assaidi should play at the weekend if Borini is unavailable, looked quality tonight. He seems like he's capable of always going past his defender but has the intelligence to know when to do it effectively. Strong case for Sahin to take a spot in the midfield too, and Coates looks like he's more than capable to be our 3rd choice central defender.

Exciting times

He didn't even fuck them over, just looking for someone else to blame for losing. Again.

Its got nothing to do with looking for somebody to blame for losing, its just a bunch of horrible fuckers who lack any sense of decency or perspective.
