Downloaded some new icons and things for the first time in AGES. Kinda happy with it, struggled to find some decent icons that I totally liked.

Saw Josh Radnor's film Liberal Arts the other day. Found a few parts pretty pretentious and romanticised but the dialogue was smart and funny, and the cast were all really good. Elizabeth Olsen is absolutely adorable, and Zac Efron had a really fun role too.

I actually quite liked SR3, but it really is just a knock-off of GTAIV with the ridiculous meter turned up higher. The driving was more like an arcade game, the characters were caricatures of themselves and the city felt like a nice design but nothing else. Its possibly a more fun game, mainly because its bat-shit crazy, but it wasn't particularly fulfilling for me. I gave a shit about Niko and felt like I was playing around in a real world, whereas SR3 was just a platform for doing stupid stuff with a bit of story to go with it.

Pretty shocking stuff, although I'm waiting to hear Chang's side of the story first. Its weird, I was following that Jen Chang guy on Twitter before he got the Liverpool job and he always seemed like a decent person (but how much can you really tell I suppose).

Nah, it's mostly because he seems very preachy and 'My way is the definite right way cos I'm great and I know more about football than all of you put together'. His ideas and style of play might be the best ever, but he can't afford to be preaching about it until he achieves a small amount of success

Where has he been saying these things? I'm sorry if he has but I genuinely don't think he's ever preached about how much better his football is than others. He talks about his style of play, sure, but he's not all high and mighty about it. He's not Xavi.

Rodgers' has proved absolutely nothing at Liverpool, the football might be better, but the results are worse even than Dalglish's. Although he's right that Shearer is clueless, he has to wait until results improve on the pitch before he can state Liverpool's return to form as a triumph of his philosophy. To do it now just makes him seem like a lunatic, it's stuff like that and the picture of him hanging in his own house that lead people to think that he's a bit of a cock.

What are you talking about? Where is he talking about a triumph? He's constantly preaching patience and that its a long road. And if we do improve and do better then why shouldn't he say its because of his game plan? ITS NOT LIKE HE'S THE MANAGER OR ANYTHING. All the house stuff is bullshit anyway. What a prick for having a picture of himself in his own home that somebody from a charity gave him. How dare he live in a nice house.

I can't help but think people are annoyed at him because he's Liverpool manager. Last season he was always talking about his philosophy and style of play but nobody gave a shit.

Yes, but until his achievements rank beyond say those of Tony Pulis, and they don't, sadly. He doesn't really have much of a basis to claim that his way is the right way when playing shit, anti-football hoofball with 11 thugs can get you comparative results.

Of course he can, you're just making little digs at Rodgers now for the sake of it. (And I'm not entirely sure what he's achieved isn't as good as Pullis personally).

Rodgers is perfectly entitled to defend Allen from Shearer's old fashioned, ill-informed opinions. And as far as I'm aware Rodgers hasn't been 'mouthing off' about his philosophy being better than others, he's just got conviction in what he wants from his team - and that's absolutely fine. And he clearly does know quite a bit about football, and the only reason people are criticising him for it is because most other managers don't like to talk about tactics and style of play as much as him. Most others prefer to talk about trivial things like referees and if players are upset.

Yeah, but Shola's point is valid.

All well and good Rogers mouthing off about how much he knows, but until his philosophy gets him results then there's not a very strong base from him to attack others.

Nah, I'm fairly sure Brendan Rodgers is in a much better position to talk about the dynamics of a football team than Alan Shearer. Just because he hasn't won a lot it doesn't mean his footballing ideas are worthless. Besides, despite comparatively little success he's achieved and learnt far more about coaching than Shearer ever will.

See this is why a lot of people think Rodgers is horrendously arrogant, he's going on about how he understands dynamics when he still hasn't gotten Liverpool firing, he's taken 1 more point from his first seven games, than Alan 'doesn't understand how a team functions' Shearer did from his first seven games in charge of a miserable Newcastle team.

He's completely right though.

No I'm saying it's inexplicable because there is virtually no force.

And if he's not trying to hurt Cabaye, why is he doing that in the first place?

That's why i find it inexplicable, because I can't think of an explanation.

Where did you come to that conclusion?
