Fair enough—‘vastly improved’ is for the end user to decide, but yeah, it’s definitely more accurate than calling it ‘new.’ Appreciate you considering my point and taking the time to reply! 👍

I really appreciate the effort the community puts into enhancing the FM experience, and this mod looks like a great addition.  Also, I appreciate the effort put into offering an easy online editor—it's a great addition.
However, calling it a 'new match engine' feels misleading, as it’s still built on the existing one rather than being an entirely new system.

I get the need to grab attention, but accuracy is just as important—especially in a community that has often criticized Sports Interactive for being vague or misleading in their communication. Over the years, players have raised concerns about things being mislabelled, making it ironic when sortitoutsi adopts similar tactics (as do just about every website and content creator, to be fair). 😅

If we expect better transparency from SI, we should hold ourselves to the same standard. Let’s be clear about what’s being offered so that everyone, especially newcomers, understands what they’re getting. Transparency helps build trust, and in the end, that benefits the entire FM community. 😎

Can I use this on an existing save?

forgive if i am wrong. but is this skin WTCS in light mode??? it seems that is similar by almost 90%. am i wrong?

I had this happen to me. Essentially, one of your addons became corrupted and it's taking down the whole damn game.

 

This seems to be a common enough to warrant inclusion on the SI service site.

 

I recommend doing a Google search on it. Essentially, I had to move everything OUT of the SI folders that I had added in, effectively uninstalling them from the game.

 

Then I uninstalled FM24, reinstalled fresh and slowly began to introduce some elements (skin, name fix, badges, kitbasher, etc.)

No issues since. I thought my FM playing days were over, but it just ended up being a blip.

I’ve started a L16 save - Herts Senior County League Div 5. 

DONE:

l‘ve compiled all the missing badges and grounds for those six leagues, plus the three Spartan leagues plus kits for the two Isthmian leagues. I’ve run Photoshop to resize them all to the right dimensions.

 

(I’m not doing kits because it would be so much work to source the right home and away designs then build each kit. Would love to know if there was a repository anywhere…)

 

TO DO:

Next thing is to map each asset to its UID. I’m doing this by using the Sas skin and cutting and pasting each UID for each club badge and ground into an Excel document. 

 

Then I was going to create 3x badge folders (1 for Herts leagues, 1 for Spartan leagues, 1 for Isthmian leagues) with subfolders for logo and icons, and 3x ground folders (ditto, with subfolders for backgrounds and insides). 
 

My thinking with the file naming was to keep it as the club name rather than the UID because I think I’ve read that the UID numbers can change from save to save (O think I’ve understood that correctly.)

 

This also allows me to reuse the same asset for multiple badges (first team, reserves, U21 etc etc)

 

Finally I will use Excel to build a formula to get the right code for the config text file.

 

Phew.

So I guess my question is…
 

HAVE I MISSED ANYTHING OR IS THERE AN EASIER WAY TO DO IT? 😊

Has anyone been able to get this mod to work with the last FM24 SI update?  Thanks in advance.

I have tried two different versions, shooting was a little bit riduculous for me….way too fast and powerful and some of the bouncing of the balls was a little over the top….just my own opinion though, give it a try.

Also a merged version now I understand which I have just aquired so will give that a try too.

Please does video folder have to be in capital letters or small letters for example HD or SD ?

I've got every FM game from 2010, some are better than others IMHO and FM22 & 23 were better than most. In fact I believe both are better than FM 24.

Now that FM25 hs been cancelled, is there any chance of new updates to FM22 and FM23 via sortitoutsi, and not the game editor?

Unpleasant news. Will downloads of updates, logos, stadiums, faces and more for FM24 continue?

I believe you have to have the in game editor to get these to show, as you can see in the first pic the editor icon is present….may be wrong but I am pretty sure this has been answered before.

Interested to see if users have still purchased pre-oreders of the game?

 

 I know from others within the editing community they have cancelled their pre-order and are going to give FM25[if it is ever released] a miss

 

By all accounts SI had stated they would announce something no later than the end of January regards the state of play…..the outcome has been nothing, no response no dialogue, this has been a total and utter  PR disasterclass 

 

The feelings are running high on their forums and this thread which has had countless posts removed shows how some loyal fans have had enough.

 

I have said it many times they dont care because there will always be people buying the game because there is no other option, if there was a competitor then you would see better customer service and a better product

 

I am not angry as I have far more important things going on in my life, I didnt expect any other outcome if I am being brutally honest, but SI's lack of response here is beyond what I expected they have excelled themselves

 

 and they still  havent even got the decency to come out and tell their paying customers what is happening, but they are ok with people still pre ordering this product

 

The fact they were taking Pre orders from the off knowing the product wouldnt be ready is simply dreadful.

Glad to hear it's helped improve your FM experience.  Hopefully FM25 is released soon and hopefully they've improved stadium design massively!
