Hi guys. I'd like to edit Oxford City 3D Kit that's already in the game. Is it possible to find the file somewhere and just edit that or 3D Kits that are in the original game are inaccessible and I have to create a completely new 3D kit and replace the original one?

Here's an update to my basic starting kit template for FM18 3D kits.

New stuff:
- improved detailing on socks
- added a layer with polygonal mesh, useful to check mapping surfaces (layout layer)
- improved layer with information about left/right and back/front orientation, plus positions for typical Adidas lines (other layout layer).
- added layer which makes long sleeves look like short sleeves with thermal underlay worn underneath. If you want proper long sleeves, just hide corresponding layers
- added a layer with premade surface for kits featuring diagonal sleeves in different colour (like Burton home).

Keep in mind that this is for advanced users only. There are no built in elements or logos which allows easy creation of various kits. This is just a starting point for developing your own templates.

A proper away kit for Mickleover (previous white kit was a not-confirmed placeholder, most likely a polo shirt rather than proper football shirt).

Let's recap everything.

Here's the screen which shows that 3d kits are indeed not working in Champions league:

To correct this, go to kit colours in editor (or ingame editor) and delete or remove everything. Then add this 5 basic items and don't assign any competitions to them. Just add them and put basic colours, like this:

Then save game and restart(!). After restart, kits are working fine (same match):

If you do that in normal editor, you have to restart career. With ingame editor, you can continue careers in progress.

I see that the English Level 9 kits are WIP - does this mean that packs are physically being worked on, or that they still need putting together? If so, I'm happy to collect images of the kits for Cherry Red Records Combined Counties Premier Division.

The situation with level 9 english kits is that there are 14 leagues and so far 5 have been made by me and Frankthetank. They're available here for download. We will continue to make them league by league but it's highly unlikely that all 14 will be done.

If you can provide me good photos, that is most welcomed and it'll greatly speed up the process. You can PM me with picture packs.

These kits are not supposed to be "installed". These are original kits extracted from FM18. If you have FM18, then you already have these kits.

The point of this download is for kit makers to update their templates and improve their kits.

It might be a config file clash, if you have installed SS kits level 8 Southern league west by Frankthetank. Hereford was in that league last year so I guess Frank forgot to delete Hereford lines from southern west config. Just remove those lines and restart game, and reload skin if neccessary

Midland football league (or Total Motion MFL for sponsorship reasons) is now available for download. It's one of 14 level 9 English leagues.

By default several clubs will not show shirts at all (as is often the case at such low level), so before you start game, be sure to add at least a shirt with editor (in kit colours section). You can also do that with in-game editor for careers in progress.

Firstly, thanks so much for the amazing content - really improves the game experience no end!

Im having a bit of an issue whereby the kits revert to default (playing as manchester united); I appreciate that this is due to having preset kits for certain competitions but is there a way to solve this without reverting to a new save? I read a few pages back that it was possible to do it with the In Game Editor, which I do own, but I have been unable to fix it thus far as the instructions weren't particularly clear/it's not really clear whether what I'm doing with the IGE is actually working. Any help would be massively appreciated as playing the UCL with default kits kind of spoils the immersion.

In my experience changing kits with in game editor is a bit buggy, in a sense that changing colours during game will sometimes result with 3d kits not showing in next match.
It's best if you simply delete all kit items, and then recreate only basic 5 (icon, text, shirt, socks and shorts) and give them proper colours. Don't assign them to any competion. Then restart the game first, don't go to 3d match right away. It should work when you re-enter. If 2d kits are not showing, you have to click "allow licenced kits"

Bishop's Stortford already played in 3rd kit this season, but they changed the design: now their 3rd kit share the same template of Staines and Warrington home kit.

Just delete Bishop's 3rd kit with in game editor, that kit is several seasons old and they never played in it this season. I won't make it until I see it on field.

Speaking of leagues with no original kits, I'm happy to present Southern league 3D 17/18 (English level 7, one of 3).
An update which enables English leagues down to level 10 is available for a week so here are some graphics for it.

On all my kits you can find a number in top right corner. It can't be seen in game but provides information about colour of the number on player's back. It's quite handy when you sort colours in editor.
