Wonderful 3D-kits. How can i get them to work? When they come in packs it allways include a config file.

Sorry for my lack of knowledge.

Just download FM17 pack for 17/18 season and remove all old kits so that only config remains. Then put these new kits into that folder. Make sure you name them exactly as they're named in config

Does that work for FM18? it only happens to premier league teams I've noticed, do you know what's causing it?

I can confirm that clubs which have multiple shirts assigned (for several competitions) won't show SS kit in those competitions (will be seen only in main league)
The easiest solution that worked for me was to delete additional shirts using in-game editor. You can also use normal editor but you'll have to restart career in that case. I guess that is not great solution for clubs which use different shirts in Euro games.

Perhaps it's a bug, or maybe this year we can code in config for multiple shirts but we don't know how yet.

They're same size in game, however 414x414 look sharper.
I have again put both versions in same pack (it's on mediafire link for now), with high-res kits packed in subfolder. Standard kits will normally show if you just download and forget about it, but if you prefer better kits (who doesn't :-P), you have to overwrite standard kits with high-res kits.

A small update on texture layout, for kit makers.
There's a small surface on the left side, above shorts. This is an underwear sleeve which is worn by 2-3 players during match so I didn't notice this before.
It's same surface for both sleeves.

I don't think you would see any improvements with our kits. Yes, we add a lot of details, but that is only to make kit look nice, in game you see nothing of that.

I didn't notice that lol. I played some championship clubs and assumed premier league is in there as well. Premier league would be my absolute priority but I see Chris is working on it so I'll leave it to his capable hands.

I like to play with "traditional/historical" kits in my games and actually take the advertising etc of the 3D kits and had a huge collection of previous kits from which I could populate leagues with "classic" kits.
Would it be possible to produce templates without advertising and fancy detail? ie. all white, white with black shorts/navy shorts, black and white stripes with black shorts/white shorts etc.

Would be great to start building a basics kit library again :-)

I made a simple template for myself, it shouldn't be very difficult for a person with basic photoshop skills to create simple kits:

You got to see this year as transitional, when not many leagues will be done, but a lot of work will be done "under the hood". Kits (and packs) will progress at a slow pace simply because there are no templates and huge pile of done kits from which we can grab "repeatable elements". Obviously in this situation we can expect most of kit makers will do leagues which don't have kits at all, rather than remaking original kits (which are not that bad this year I noticed).
There's also a psychological blow for kit makers who can hardly find motivation to redo same packs which they already made.

In order to make many packs we have to start early, as soon as clubs start announcing their next season's kits in april / may - as we did. But this "reset" happened this year, we're now in November with 0 kits made. So it's kind of a lost year and it's realistic to expect that recreating same packs we did for FM17 will again take months, and by then clubs will start to announce new kits and we'll all turn to new season.

It's cos you're a perfectionist bolid and we love you for it !! You've transformed the SS kits from something dull to pure art,so we wouldn't expect anything less with the 3D kits. They'll look better anyway when Si sort out the ridiculous saturated pitches and lighting that ruins most matches and blurs detail !

Yeah, pitches look awfull, way to bright. SI will never fix it though. Last year there was a mod on FM Scout for realistic grass texture. It was brilliant and I hope for the same thing this year

Ok, I think I mastered this new texture format and I'm almost done with first 3D pack for FM18.
To avoid confusion, I wacked a huge logo on the kit which says quite clearly "for FM18". In game, this will be shown on players butt, so that you know that you successfully installed my kits (ok, maybe not

).
