Mirceta has also joined on his free (my loanee GK from last year), I'm wanting an MC too at the very least to wrap the window up. Possibly 2 MCs, we have the money and wage space thanks to my prior frugalness.

Gonna loosen the purse strings a little bit too, will merrily admit that I have grown bored of little BSK Borca and our team of 12 year olds. Time to push for promotion with corruption, doping and dolla.

First step in the winter recruitment drive; full time scout number three.

A solid start for us, I'm happy with where we are but I'm not happy with how certain players are performing. Gnakpa for example has been a total flop and Petrovic is still struggling like mad, I don't think Petrovic will ever return to his pre-injury form.

Will look to strengthen during the winter break, will see how the second half of the season goes but I am quite tempted to walk away this summer and take a first division job.

More change than in previous seasons, I didn't feel like there was anyone truly ready to step up so I sent out my better prospects on loan.



Comes in as a backup DMC/MC option, helps me stop just loaning my MCs



Straight in as the top earner, was forced on this one really as I knew I wanted a decent DMC but my top targets all went elsewhere. We will see how he goes this season, if we don't get promoted this year then I'll either leave to a first division team or pack my team with pace, sick of my defenders and CMs having the pace of Dario Silva.

My experienced AML, tbh Petrovic just hasn't recovered from that injury last season and is still struggling. Kocic has done decent for me when he's played, could have a bigger role than I initially expected

My first team GK until Mirceta joins on a free in Jan

I normally play a high pressing game with the 4231 and 433, but with my 3412 I'm looking at a deeper system. I'd love a bit more pace at the back as it does catch us out, but I just can't find the players to match my budget and personal preferences.

I've had a look at CB and nothing is forthcoming, I'm going to start the season with my 3412 and see how the team get on. If I don't like what I see I'm going to switch to the 433 as I've signed two DMCs this summer and I do like what the 433 gives me from my attacking players.

Variety is the spice of life.

Caught in two minds regarding my CB berths, I have Jokovic and Mladenovic who are both great CB prospects but they aren't exactly stars for the right now. Its a question of do I fully invest in their development or do I go out and get a great starting CB for this season and our promotion push?

3 points and 1 place worse off than last season, injuries always seemed to stop us from hitting our full flow but overall we just weren't good enough. I need to add some depth and quality to play alongside my young home grown players.





Mirceta did ok as a GK and I will be signing him next Jan on a free when his current deal expires, originally I wasn't 100% sold on getting him in but after looking at what other GKs are available to me he is the best by some distance. I will loan in a GK for the first half of next season and then look to bring Mirceta in to see the season out.

Grahovac really took a beating this season, he started on fire with 7 in 7 and then just seemed to ground to a total halt. For this reason I want a better 2nd choice ST than Dragovic.

I'm also looking for a bit more experience at DMC/MC and possibly an experienced AML, Petrovic just didn't get going after his injury but I will keep the faith and look to start next season with him as my first choice AML.

This summer is all about adding experience, we were predicted to finish 7th overall this season so I can't be too disappointed. We're a young team looking to find our feet.

Brought Milovanovic on at 4-1 thinking the game was over, the boy went and got his first professional goals.

This is more like it, a solid underbelly for the reserves and....



He comes straight into the first team setup, bit short because of injuries right now so he will provide me some much-needed depth across the backline.

I reject another job interview (Vojvodina Novi Sad) and then this happened. Is Mr Wegrzyn trying to force me out? Possibly.

Heart-warming start to the Wegrzyn era.

Interesting, could put a bit of pressure on me if our up and down form continues. Need to ensure we make a strong start to the second part of the season.

Starting to renew contracts now, wage demands are certainly growing. A few players are now earning about £120 a week and I've had to tie Grahovac down to £250 a week. This summer, regardless of division, I'm going to up the wages I am willing to offer. The market is demanding it. Gotta be flexible.

We started shit hot and then injuries just started to tear through the squad, I don't understand what is causing it but its killing us every time we seem to be getting some momentum going.

I don't think I will add anything in the winter break, I'm willing to hold out and see what the young guys can deliver. Our future is very much in our own hands, we're within touching distance of the promotion positions and we certainly have the fire power to take us up. Its just the defence which is failing us.

Petrovic is due to play his first game of the season after the break too, he could be the man to give us stability.

Jagodina have once more offered me an interview, once more I've turned it down. I want to get this season out of the way and from next year I'll be a bit more open to external offers, don't want to walk out on Borca without having at least experimented and played on a little.

We're nearing the halfway stage of the season and things have gone ok. Nothing amazing, injuries have forced me into experimenting and I'm currently playing a 3412, could make for some interesting tactical decisions in the 2nd half of the season.

Boooooo, yawnnnnn, boringggg. Bring on the second round.

Six games deep in the season and we're already 17k in the red, luckily I have a first round Serbian cup game to look forward to. That should be our big money spinner.

Aye got him hooked up for it, retrained Terzic as an AMR and I have him starting from there. 3 goals, 3 goals and a 7.58 avg rating. May Ramovs follow in his footsteps from AML.

So with that business the squad isn't all that different, only two new players really as the rest have either been promoted or were on loan with us last season. I'm hoping that will fare us well, the young players a year older and a year better developed.

I've managed to pull the wage bill down to 1.8k a week (12th highest in the league) but I think this will be our only season with us operating so low, Serbian demands seem to have rocketed up. I'm putting that down to the fact I've only just added the Serb leagues and things are starting to settle down a bit and hit a normal pattern.

Lost some big players (and some big wages), I think its good ultimately though as its allowing me to promote my own youth players to the first team setup.



Had him on loan last season and I've snapped him up once more, starting AMC and my set-piece king.



Was struggling again for a RB, so just decided to bring this guy back in for another season on loan (a theme which shall feature heavily in this post)



Back (on loan), back again (on loan). Did ok for us last season and I like the fact he offers options at 3 positions, gives me some tactical flexibility between the 433 and 4231.

Amazing GK for this level and a definite upgrade on what we had last year, my highest earner at £100 a week but I reckon he could win us a good few points



In as my starting AML whilst Petrovic is out injured, if he is as half as good as Petrovic then we should have enough to have a great start to the season and then kick on once Petrovic returns, I'm quite confident this season. Could be a promotion push.

A look at who I've promoted from the reserves for the forthcoming season;



He's going to have a real say from AMR this season alongside Terzic and Vuckovic (the AMR I signed last season)



He could struggle to get games because we do have some decent quality I think at the back this year (he says before going on to inevitably concede 85 goals in 30 goals), will reassess during the winter break. If he hasn't played enough I will loan him out



Wanted a 3rd choice ST on a free but the cheapest I could find one was at £200 a week. Not willing to pay that, especially since the most I've handed out so far is £100 for my current loanee GK and £90 to Bajic who I've permanently signed after last seasons loan spell. One player from the old regime on big wages (£275 a week) remains and I will look to shift him next year if he does little.



Originally wanted him loaned out but he kept rejecting my feeder club, then I picked up two injuries and MC and he's now fully into the first team fold. His pace could make him into an interesting AMC option down the road



Same story as Mijuskovic really, on paper we look better in defence than last season so it is a case of watching how he progresses and deciding on his future once we hit the 15th league game.

Having two FT scouts has made the world of difference to me, scouting costs have already matched the whole of last season but I think it will be worth it in the long run. Needed a quicker turnaround in scouting opinion

Struggled to get the rest of my staff together, had to poach a physio from another Serb club as every free agent was wanting minimum £250 and my max was £160, none would budge. So went and nabbed one who was on £80 elsewhere in Serbia.

Brought in two coaches just to cover my numbers, at this point beyond my scouts and head of youth development I'm not too arsed. A systematic FM problem has always been the wage demands of staff at the lower levels, its pathetic. You can not bring in staff on the real cheap for love nor money, has needed looking at for years. Its just one of those lower league things that's always been persistent

Fuck sake, second game of pre-season. Now need to go out and find an AML from somewhere, not ideal.

Wage demands of players have really went up, we're talking 100% rises, players who last season would have come in at £70 are now asking for £200. Forcing me to rethink my strategy a bit, will see if I'll have to abandon the squad wage structure I have in my head for the sake of bringing in some decent players.

Bit more like it, but about £50k of it is in clauses I may not get. Not worth it, I want his goals or cold hard cash.

Interesting, they stayed up last season in the top flight by virtue of winning the relegation playoff. The offer probably comes a season or two too early for me, let me see how this year with Borca goes.
