#281634 Addickted To Winning (A Charlton story) IIIIIIIIIIII
Sheriff Skacel
Really dig his mental stats, I want him to potentially force Wind from the DMC role post-January so I can look to sell Wind next summer.
Him being Italian was one of the main reasons I brought him in, his physical stats mean he can be a threat from AMR but also a great impact sub for my box to box MC role too.
Straight in and loaned out to Torino, potential replacement for the DMC role which could be freed up next summer if Masson can replace Wind.
Wanted more of an attacking threat from MC as I feel that in recent seasons I haven't been able to bring on a game changing creative MC from the bench.
Would have liked a better CB to replace Assas but the market was sparse, opted for him as he has solid base stats and he has room to grow. 1.5 CA and a 3.5 star PA, if he hits 3 star CA his stats could be amazing for a CB.
Hopefully the man to keep the starting GK spot for the long term future, he arrives with a five week injury so Simon Jan has remained for now.
In to pad out the CL squad.
In 2 to 3 seasons my squad will be full of home grown players, for now I still have to resort to youth GKs and the odd Gianmarco Zunino to pad out the numbers. Believe in the process.

A 60m profit on transfers and an £8m cut to the annual wage bill on these deals. I'll give you the break down on each;
Armanac - Felt like I could do better from DMC/MC with someone younger
Neto - 29, one year left on his deal, optimum time to sell
Sneijder - One year left on his deal, wanted 100k, wasn't willing to offer it
Carnival - No longer good enough for us, the club has moved on
Segun - As above
Assas - Didn't want to lose him but couldn't be arsed with him pissing moaning
Celik - See Carnival / Segun
We've strengthened our rivals with the Neto, Sneijder and Assas deals but such is football. I'm putting all my faith in the youth this season as I want to develop a great young core. Now come January if we're sitting 10th in the table I will make no apologies as I burn through my £200m transfer budget in an effort to claw 4th place.
Will do the ins on the next post, as a prelude each player I signed bar Guido Lopez and Zunino are listed as wonderkids.

Interesting, thankfully all my transfer business is wrapped up so an embargo wouldn't hurt us. If a new owner comes in they'll just cut a few feeder clubs and dilly dally on a stadium. Hopefully I can twist their arm more than what I've been able to twist the current chairmans arm.

That's a nice little jump, serves us well in the battle for a new stadium.

Reunited with our conquerers from last season, Heerenveen have also been winning the Eredivisie pretty consistently so they could be a sleeper.

On the outs I've so far only lost one player I didn't want to go, Assas. Napoli came in with a 30m bid, I rejected, he got bitchy, I said lets see what we can do, Juve immediately come in with a 39m bid;
- 24m upfront
- 8m after 50 games
- 8m after 10 internationals
- 20% profit
The clauses haven't been included in the listed fee though, I'll definitely get the 8m for international appearances, 8m for 50 games could be tougher.

I expected Fazio to become an absolutely world class CB when he first came from the academy, however he just hasn't come on over the past two seasons he has had out on loan. Now he's just gonna be a perennial backup and homegrown quota filler.
Picked Moller up for 3.5m at the start of last season and he's coming off a 7.29 loan season with Bologna. He'll be in and around my starting AMR and AML berths all season.

Thanks but no thanks, I'm a little frustrated with my transfer business to date but not enough to make me want to jump in bed with the Old Lady. Plenty time left to pull off the moves I need

Painful for AC, the team to replace them? Inter obviously

And so the season comes to an end, pre-season if you'd offer me 2nd place and a CL semi final I'd have bitten your hand off, for that reason we can't be too despondent.
In regards to the squad I have my eyes on potentially quite a few players leaving depending on their wage demands and just how much interest I can whip up. I'll see who I can shift come mid/late June, in an ideal world I ship out six or seven players, but I don't want to be getting ripped off in my deals.

Totally our own stupid fault, just didn't capitalise on any of the chances we were creating. Disappointed but its a million times better than what I expected for this season, would have been happy with just getting out of our group considering my abysmal CL performances in recent seasons.
In Serie A we fell 1-0 to Juve, falling further behind Napoli. Need them to seriously cock up now

Hope our minute of madness doesn't cost us, we had a disallowed goal to go 3-0 up and at that point I was already planning on putting Mauro in goal just to rub it in a bit. If only, AC Milan at home before the 2nd leg.
Reckon I'll start with a strong team vs AC and look to bring off Mauro and Boukhari if we're comfortable after 55 mins.

Sent out a weakened team and they did what was needed, avoided a four goal defeat.
Liverpool in the semis, I got done by Genoa at home thanks to us having two players sent off so I've fallen behind in the title race. My original plan this season was back burner CL run to ensure we make top four, it could become a case of back burning the league to ensure a CL win. Now 2 off Napoli who still have a game in hand
#281533 Addickted To Winning (A Charlton story) IIIIIIIIIIII

9 goals in 2 games vs Napoli and their £130m a year wage bill. For whatever reason we've bridged the gap this year, we're looking like a formidable force.
In the league we're level with Juve on 75 points, Naps do have a game in hand on 74 points however. Seven games to go

The youth batch have come in and there's one or two players with decent potential, I have a few decent foreign youngsters out on loan and I could just bring them straight into the team and save on spending on replacement players.
Napoli CL game at home next, Mauro to start.

They fear Parra (and the prospect of Mauro being back)
And quite who NEC think they are I'm not too sure.

Look at that for a turnaround, confidence is just sky high right about now and we're rampaging through the fixtures. One loss could throw it all to shit for us though, we all know how fragile morale is in FM.
#281478 Addickted To Winning (A Charlton story) IIIIIIIIIIII
Sheriff Skacel
And to think, some of you doubted Parra after his performance vs PSG.
I hope we can pull this one off, its down to us now as we've put together some great results in recent weeks, for once we aren't dropping points against the teams around us.
#281473 Addickted To Winning (A Charlton story) IIIIIIIIIIII

Just couldn't make the most of all those chances, Parra had 10 shots in total, only 3 on target.
Didn't realise he was 27 either, still thought he was only about 24. This is what happens when you just mindlessly play FM, you just keep plodding along merrily and you lose track of these things.
In Iceland I brought in a really versatile 32 year old, when he came in he was an absolute star, after a few years he was getting worse and worse but I kept him round as he could play about six positions. He was probably pulling about a 6.8 every season but his wages were really cheap by this point. I clicked on his profile one season because I hadn't done it in a while, he was now 43. I'd just kept offering him one year deal after one year deal because he could do a backup job. Can't afford to have Parra around here by the time he's 43.

#281425 Ronaldo v Messi
Sheriff Skacel
In terms of FM physical stats have more weighting than technical ones, so lets say for every Finishing point you give a player (out of the maximum of 20) it takes up 1 Current Ability point, for the Physical stats it might be 4 or 5 Current Ability points. They aren't the exact figures but its along those lines that things are done (are used to be done, it may have changed now).
Out of interest, what are both players Current Abilities? The individual stats don't matter too much as both are probably in the 192/193 CA range. More than enough to rip shit up.
In regards to the rewards, is there much difference between all the rep stats the players have Messi always does dominate, maybe its less because of his CA and more because he potentially has higher reputation stats?
I never really load La Liga so I always see Messi clean up, maybe its a different story when you actually have the league loaded and things are based less off rep and more on player + club growth and decline.

Arsenal were sniffing around my 21 year old DMC Yvan Francois. They kept bidding like 5m and I just knocked them back time and time again. Last day of the window came, Arsenal bid 4m, Barcelona bid 5m, renegotiated both, Arsenal walked away, Barca came back with 14m, accepted.
I wasn't too hot on letting him go as he could play a few positions and was now qualified as club homegrown, however realistically his mental stats will always stop him from being a certified long-term starter for me and I don't know if I'll be able to pull in more than 14m for him down the road as I plan on upgrading my midfield this summer and his playtime was gonna get cut.
No replacement signed, we have enough depth to pull through till seasons end.
#281357 Anyone help?
Sheriff Skacel
So if there's a team in there who should be in Serie C then move them down, then double check those teams now in Serie C, if there's one too many in Serie C after that then just take any club and delete them or send them off to Tahiti or some shit
#281353 Addickted To Winning (A Charlton story) IIIIIIIIIIII
Sheriff Skacel
Halfway stage of Serie A.
Not too far off top but we won't catch Napoli or Juve unless they get embroiled in some sort of doping scandal. My main worry should be staying in the top four like, AC are breathing down my neck.
I'm happy enough, we have good depth but since I'm already starting to look to the future I think I will begin playing a few of my youngsters more and more ahead of a few players I'd like to move on this summer. This could hurt our title chances but you gotta BELIEVE IN THE PROCESS.
#281349 Anyone help?
Sheriff Skacel
You need to go into the editor, go onto the Serie B page and move the team that shouldn't be there down into the third division league which is one team short (I think Serie C is split into 2 or 3 leagues, so you'll need to see who is short)

We gone got a man, 6m upfront, 8m over 42 months. Comes in as an AML and I'll train him to play AMR.
Values of Neto and Sneijder (18 month left, 100k wage demands) are slowly trying to slip. I'm open to selling them both this month, summer deals look more likely.
Also shipped out an Italian AMRL, ST who I had as a backups backup for 7.5m, 1 sub appearance this season, good business.
