Good work @Castroman, but do consider brightening your images just a little bit in the future, for a more natural look.

Will do!! 🙂

In addition to some snow, a lot of images in these couple of packs aren't very sharp and seem to have been upscaled from smaller sources. Do consider whether it's worth cutting them @Castroman, because in a lot of cases, I don't think they're actually improvements.

I did not upscale any of them. Sometimes, when I cannot download the photo (because of quality or because the image is a background) I take a screenshot of the picture and try to work from there. Some of these pictures I added some “sharpness” to them to look better. Unfortunately, on my computer it looked great - but checking it now, some of them does not look as pretty as I wanted.

Regarding the snow: Some pictures I download does not come with a background - and I simply use it. When a picture has background I use the background remover available (remove.bg).

Keep an eye out for snow @Castroman

Here's a video on how you can easily spot and clean it:

Will check them with more care 😉

@Castroman, when you have a lot of images to upload, then you should upload them as a pack instead of individually and save the both of us some time.

You can also request up to 50 images per pack instead of just 6 when done individually.

Great. I will do it next time. 🙂

We need all cuts to have a collar - so you're actually giving yourself more work by removing it! Just leave it there 🙂

Perfect. I have re-submitted the original one!! 🙂

Thank you!

@Castroman Good cut, but please remember that we want all cuts to include a little bit of collar. At the same time, the ideal cut only contains 2-3 pixels beneath the chin. Since in some sources like this one, the person in the image may have a longer neck than usual, this would be quite difficult to achieve naturally.

I'll fix this one myself, but please keep it in mind for any future cuts you may do 👍

Here's a video of the process on how to nudge the collar upwards:

Hi Mons,

I have a question for you. In this case, the original picture has a very big collar. I was not sure on how to proceed with it.

Depends on how old the source image is. Tbh, I'd have preferred an image in which he was looking at the camera, rather than to the side of it.

Thank you Mons. This was the best picture I found from him when he was training the Lyon. This picture is from 2019 or 2020.

@Castroman, keep in mind that only one cut can be added to the megapack, so when you have multiple images to choose from, just select the best or most recent one and cut just that one. Save yourself some time 😉

I have added the wrong file unfortunately. The quality of the first one wasn't that good.

Good work @Norraya, but if you have multiple images to upload, please save the both of us some time and upload them all together in a pack instead of individually 😉

Same goes for you too @Castroman

Sorry to ask, but how do I do it? 🙂

Photopea.com is a very close free online equivalent of Photoshop and you can accomplish the same technique using it 😉

Thank you. I had no idea 🙂

@Castroman, good cut but we ask for all cuts to include a collar, and for the collar to be within 2-3 pixels of the chin. In sources where the collar is lower down than that, it should be nudged upwards as demonstrated in the below video:

Ok. Unfortunately I don't have Photoshop, so I'm a little limited to some things, but I will try keeping the neck on the next cuts I'll make.

The current cut is quite recent and of a very good quality and I'm not particularly sure the source chosen is better than it 😢

No worries. I tried to fix its color (the original one was too “reddish”), but I think both has pretty much the same quality. 🙂

The previous one I left a little bit of the neck, so the second is more on the standard required.

This is a great source but please keep in mind the below from the guidelines to making requests @Castroman

  • If you are requesting an image for a person who already has a cut in the megapack, please make sure that the source you are uploading will produce an improvement. We don't consider a newer image to be automatically an improvement since we also take quality of source and cut into consideration. If the current megapack cut is recent and similar in look (check on his/her timeline before uploading an image), there is little added value in cutting another source for the person. Just because a source image is more recent than that in the MP does not automatically mean it's an improvement. It's better to have a slightly older image in the MP if it is of better quality. Ask yourself, is it really an improvement to the existing MP image? If it's the same face and hairstyle with just this season's new kit, it's probably just an alternative. Please keep in mind that we have a limited number of cutters and hundreds of thousands of images in the megapack, so we can't update them every few months or so.

This player has had two virtually identical cuts in the last few months already; there's very little to be gained by having yet another one 😕

It makes sense!! 🙂

@Castroman, if an image still needs to have the background removed, then it is not game ready but should be requested as source instead.

Oh, I think I may have forgotten to change it. My bad 🙂

This image is from February 2014 so it makes little sense requesting it, let alone cutting it.

Please, disregard this. I didn't pay attention to the date. It does make no sense …. 😢
