£15m would be too much for the pair of them. £10m tops.

Massive missed opportunity from Atletico to seal it today.

Looking forward to next weekend's game.

2-0 City, 100% all over now.

Shame for Liverpool but they can still hold their heads high.

In other news anyone who takes a banner to a football match, is an absolute prick. Desperate to get on Sky and MOTD.

Any chance this is related to the 'Pardew is a cunt' banner that some Newcastle fans have today, rather than anyone who takes a banner?

Besides, it will eventually spread out across the leagues, the stronger academies will rise up to league 1,

Without wanting to look too far ahead, just wait until the top teams' academies are winning League 1, the pressure will be so strong for them to be allowed promotion to the Championship that the inevitable will then probably happen.

How do you know? you're 20ish aren't you?

Yeah 20 but rewatched loads of games/highlights from that tournament, think it's pretty widely accepted that 1990 was a quality World Cup. Not just for England's excellent effort but just in general.

Even the BBC's opening credits/ Nessun Dorma remain iconic.

Surprising 4-1 defeat at Catania this afternoon for the mighty Roma means Juventus confirmed as champions.

They still bottle it whenever they come up against a half-decent team in Europe though (even when a final in their own stadium is on offer) so if I was them I'd still class their season as a failure - they need to do it when it matters not against Sassuolo and Livorno. Conte needs to make sure he doesn't get a Mancini-like reputation, cos that's the way it's going at the moment.

Birmingham now only one spineless performance away from dropping into League One. The good news for them is that they're away - they haven't won at home since the 1st October! Bloody hell.

I remember Zoli being vehemently against Modric. Absolutely class player these days.

That pass to Ronaldo when he was under pressure in his own half about 5/10 mins ago was majestic.

24 years supporting Liverpool and never been prouder.

The momentum has swung to City now but it's far from over. If anything the last week has shown how quickly things can swing. It may yet have another twist.

Or it may not. Such is life.

They've got a terrible recent record at Everton, definitely far from over.

Liverpool could do with Arsenal slipping up tomorrow so that Everton have something to play for on Saturday, unfortunately there's almost zero chance that Newcastle will get anything tomorrow.

Hmmm. Palace extremely solid under Pulis but don't score too many, will be tough for them to get back into it now. Long way to go yet mind!

Didn't expect that, City will be buzzing, they've gotta do their bit though - both Palace today and Everton away on Saturday will be extremely difficult.

Cardiff are absolutely terrible.

They are indeed, Lineker put it well on Twitter - "what a pig's ear they've made of things at Cardiff this season."

Sunderland on a roll though, think they've got another decent looking home game yet so they should stay up.

we've suffered so much this season,

Lacazette could be useful mainly because he can play uptop and on the wings in a 433, wouldn't be keen on Gomis though, never been a huge fan of his.

Lacazette's a player, he'd be a good one for you.

Gomis, like a lot of other strikers of his type, can be unplayable one minute then frustrate the life out of you the next. His goal scoring record is pretty good, but I've lost count of the number of times I've said "he'd done the hard bit, all he needed to do was put it away" (or something similar) whilst watching him this season.

I friend of mine played in a rugby match, they all piled ontop of this one lad who had the ball, who screamed from the bottom of the pile. They all eventually got off him to find out that someone had stamped on his nutsack and torn it open. Bollock was hanging out. Blood everywhere.

F*cking hell! Doesn't bare thinking about.

whilst he does exactly the games where they are the underdogs.

Compare Chelsea/West Ham to Atletico/Chelsea though, Atletico and Chelsea are much more similar in terms of quality, resources etc. Teams like West Ham etc with a fraction of Chelsea's resources, their best chance of competing against them is defending, no excuses for billionaire financed Chelsea though with their £50m striker......

Wouldn't be surprised if they nick it 1-0 at Stamford Bridge, hope not though.

Phil Neville would be funny too, get the impression he's a bit of a no-mark coach, at least that's the way he's come across alongside Moyes this season.

Or Sven, 12 years late.

Great win today for us gives us a small chance of reaching the play offs! 4-0 up at half time! Gestede scoring a hat trick of headers Rudy Gestede Rudy Gestede we wanted Wayne Rooney but we got him instead just wish we had of beaten Yeovil!

That Yeovil game is gonna haunt us, as well as throwing away the 3-1 at Sheff Wednesday. I know Ipswich, Brighton etc will all have had similar games, but this has been such an easy season to get in the play offs.

I just hope next season is equally as easy as there are enough promising signs, Gestede is quality yep, Conway etc too, just think Bowyer needs to improve the tactical side of things and be a bit more adventurous (like the Yeovil game), as he can clearly spot a player that's not in question (barring a few but every manager has those).

One of the Italian papers is certain Max Allegri's going to be managing Spurs next season, their strange prediction continued the next day saying Davide Astori and Ale Matri were top of his shopping list...

Good times ahead for Spurs then....
