#396970 The Night Thread Mk. IX

What a list that is, some heavyweight Susie names from years ago.
Times change, but I'm still glad we've got enough members and enough going on to keep the forums going.

Bang on, they should go too, what a mess they are.
West Ham 2-0 Huddersfield from tonight. Only saw the last half an hour. Looked to be heading for a stalemate until West Ham's first goal which took a massive deflection.

They definitely should have got something out of the game today, Dann's header towards the end was an absolute sitter as well, not to mention Lee's shocking backpass. Sacking De Boer after 4 games would be mad enough, even madder after a decent performance today.
Good result for Newcastle.

I like Ireland but they really do struggle going forward - lots of effort and endeavour but devoid of quality.

How's your defence gonna line up do you think? Surely Sanchez will be a starter having cost so much, but Aldeweireld and Vertonghen are established.....3 CBs?

Spurs need to get things sorted at Wembley......Kane's August record is also an odd one considering how prolific he is in almost every other month. Of course I've had him as my fantasy captain every week so far

I can only see 7th again or 8th for them - the top 6, barring a collapse from one of them, seem pretty set in stone, but they're too good to join the rabble from mid table down. So it'll be a lot of money spent (albeit a lot gained too after the Lukaku sale) for no improvement in league position I think...

Really poor result yesterday and we'll have to improve quickly, starting with Doncaster at home on Saturday.

0-0 FT, Celtic would have been hoping for better.

Ah are they in La Liga now? We played them at Ewood last pre-season and they were pretty decent. Drew 1-1 but they were miles better than us. Must have got promoted last season as they were second division when we played them.

Bonucci to Milan, £35m I think, great signing for Milan.

I'm sure I read somewhere that they put games on a Tuesday night that wouldn't have a large away following even if it was a Saturday (like the ones we've mentioned here). Whereas having more local games on a Saturday ensures there'll be plenty of away fans, which might not be the case if they were midweek.
Not sure how true it is, either way it's pretty weird.

Is that when it is? Poor do that. Some of the games that are down for Tuesday nights are terrible.

Haha, dire stuff.
We've signed a few players (and unbelievably actually paid a decent sum of money for one) already. Still hasn't quite sunk in we're in League 1, even when the fixture list came out last week.

He's far from a world beater but he's a good player, he even had a decent strike rate for Burnley in the Premier League when they went down.
Still only 24 yet he's had almost two years written off because of injury, hopefully he can make a full recovery.

You never seem to be optimistic when it comes to Spurs haha, I know you've got Wembley for a year but I don't see any other reason why you can't go from strength to strength?
