Installation Instructions

Step 1) Where to install the Standard Kits Megapack

Once you've downloaded a Football Manager Standard Kits Megapack and extracted it you should see a folder called "sortitoutsi Standard Kits Megapack" on your computer. In this folder are two more folders called “graphics” and “editor data” (If you only have a graphics folder, that's fine just ignore anything related to “editor data”). You're going to need to move these folder into a special location where Football Manager can find it, this is different depending on if you're a Mac user or a Windows user.

Apple: Where to put the folders on Mac

You will need to go to the following location:

/Users/<yourname>/Library/Application Support/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2023

You may find it difficult to find this exact location, to make it easier, use the following instructions:

a) Open Finder

b) Click “Go” from the menubar and select “Go to Folder” (alternatively press Shift+CMD+G)

c) Copy in the following: ~/Library/Application Support/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2023

d) Open the “Football Manager 2023/graphics” folder (or create it if it doesn't exist)

e) Move the contents of "sortitoutsi Standard Kits Megapack/graphics" into this ”graphics" folder

d) Open the “Football Manager 2023/editor data” folder (or create it if it doesn't exist)

e) Move the contents of "sortitoutsi Standard Kits Megapack/editor data" into this ”editor data" folder

Windows: Where to put the FM Graphic Packs on Windows

On Windows you will need to go to the following location:

Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2023

Then follow these steps:

a) Open the “Football Manager 2023/graphics” folder (or create it if it doesn't exist)

b) Move the contents of "sortitoutsi Standard Kits Megapack/graphics" into this ”graphics" folder

c) Open the “Football Manager 2023/editor data” folder (or create it if it doesn't exist)

d) Move the contents of "sortitoutsi Standard Kits Megapack/editor data" into this ”editor data" folder

What if I don't have a graphics folder?

If you don't have a “graphics” folder simply create it 🙂

What if I don't have a Editor Data folder?

If you don't have a “editor data” folder in the download that's fine just ignore any instructions related to “editor data”. If there is an “editor data” folder in the download but not in your Documents, simply create it. 🙂

The downloaded files ends with .zip, .rar, .7z

If you have a file that ends in .zip, .rar or .7z then you'll need to extract the files before installing them. These files are called “archives” and are a way to compress a folder into a single file for downloading but you'll need to open them and get the folder that's in them before installing. DO NOT put these files in your graphics folder, it won't work.

Extract the files first and then put the extracted files into your graphics folder. If you're not sure how to extract them, look at these guides for windows or for mac.

Step 2) How to refresh graphics in Football Manager

Unfortunately even though you have the folder in the right place Football Manager won't automatically pick up the new files. You're going to have to go in and tell Football Manager to reload your graphics.

Simply follow these instructions:

a) Open Football Manager

b) Click Preferences on the start screen (or if you're already in a game FM Logo > Preferences)

c) Click the “Advanced” tab

d) On the right hand side select “interface”

e) Scroll down the Skin Heading

f) Uncheck “Use caching to decrease page loading times”

g) Tick “Reload skin when confirming changes to preferences”

h) Click “Reload Skin”

And now your graphics should be appearing.

You should go back into the preferences and follow the same steps but this time tick “Use caching to decrease page loading times”, this will help with the long term performance of the game, but needed to be unticked to install these graphics.

Frequently Asked Questions

The megapack does not include any 3D kits because these are made by multiple authors, to provide them the credit they deserve you need to download these separately and install them into your graphics folder. Furthermore, I don't want to spread their content, while these 2D kits are new creations. This means that this pack is 2D only and will stay 2D only, even though I have all files 1:1 for 3D.
Yes! With a tool as the FM Kit Creator the world is at your feet when we talk about kit creation for FM. Make sure to post the 3D files in the official 3D Thread, they will get picked up for this Megapack.
Please report the issues below, @Jamaicaman90 is happy to assist with minor updates to the packs.
We will continue to add new leagues and clubs to the megapack, but there is no official timeline for any of these additions. Please add your requests to the 3D Thread, as we convert 3D kits to 2D Standard Kits. Likely you are able to download new additions first separately before it becomes available in the megapack, so check sortitoutsi on a regular basis. Please note that the megapack currently does not contain any nations - we are not sure about supporting these (yet).
