Arsenal are awesome.

I wonder how long Shearer will wait until he admits we're title contenders.

Result and a half for Arsenal, that. Before tonight I'd have had Dortmund as the one team from that group which would definitely qualify - not so sure now, the last two rounds of games will be very interesting.

I never realized what a whiny little bitch Lewandowski was.

You love Giroud

I thought Dortmund's attitude was really poor tonight though. Lewandowski was the worst, but at the end the Dortmund players and Klopp are screaming at the officials. Really poor.

Klopp still doesn't seem to be able to balance Bundesliga and Champions League.

Decent chance of Dortmund, Napoli and Arsenal all on 12 points as well.

Tbf Ashley Young would have gone over an imaginary leg instead of 'that'

They've promised to make a wide range of matches free-to-air, but still yeah fuck you BT.

A massive win over Sky.

There will be no more games on ITV as well, does that include highlights?

Highlights are still up for bidding. BBC and ITV are in the running for them.

I think this is good for football. Sky have had the major share in the deal now for years. BT isn't as bad as everyone says, their standards are very, very good.

It's shit for the consumer.

BT's emergence and the split content basically means you have to pay twice for content that last year you got under one subscription on Sky.

Especially bad because Sky's CL coverage has been awesome.

Yeah, with some 'selected games' being free to air. Final is protected as free to air though.

BT is shit, this weekend they don't even have a live Prem game, its not the first time either. Plus its not available on multi-room meaning that if your lucky to have a partner which likes watching football all the time (lets be honest that's very rare unless they're a closet lesbian) your not really gonna get to watch the channel very often either, missing the other leagues they show. £12 a month for a couple of Premier League matches.

BT are pretty shit for a few reasons but I don't see this as a legitimate criticism. They bought a package of games, and it's worked out that there's no game this weekend. How is this their fault?

It's because they front loaded their schedule so they could compete with Sky in the off season 'Join up with BT we have got all these games over the first few weekends and Sky only have shit ones' but they used up most of their picks in doing that.

This is the first year BT have had EPL, the next time EPL bidding is up for grabs i reckon BT will be a bigger contender than this year, atm they only have 18 first choice picks? and i believe they've only used 6 so far so saving the rest for what will be the best time of the year, the run in's.

You have to remember this is BT's first year with a sports channel, and its been a very successful year at that.

Apparently the 'selected games' are 1 game PER YEAR from every single British (/english?) team in the competition.

So 4 lots of FC Cluj vs Manchester United reserves and the like + the final.

Seems pretty unlikely, I'm guessing they still need to grab as much as advertising revenue as possible. And will more than likely be trying to persuade non-subscribers to subscribe so will try and put on a hyped up game.

And Jake Humphrey vaguely said they'll put on every British team at least once FTA. So at least 5 or 6 games, isn't quite the dramatic comedown from 15 currently shown FTA. Apparently UEFA and the EU have some sort of agreement on a minimum number of FTA game in the Champions League anyway.

I don't get why people seem to think Champions League should be FTA anyway.

1 game per English team + final is 5. final + British teams is 6.

You've just said what I already said. It's a 1/3rd give or take of the current amount. Not sure how thats not 'a dramatic comedown'.
