Debuchy is in with a shout as best RB in the league btw - outstanding again today.

We were unlucky - draw would have been fair.

Think Debuchy stands far too centrally though. Any LW's who play against him get far too much room. Reckon Brady/Brunt/Assaidi all scored goals from Debuchy being far too narrow.

Although it helped today as Arsenal never really went wide down the left flank.

If Podolski isn't played it'll be Cazorla, normally, and he'll always prefer to cut inside.

Assaidi's was a screamer tbf - nothing really Debuchy could do about that.

He's been our best player this season bar maybe Remy - although Remy has been poor since the Chelsea game imo

If by 'soft' you mean dive then yes. Cazorla and Giroud were shocking for it yesterday. They were both receiving treatment for ages yesterday and Arsenal didn't even have subs warming up.

The Assaidi goal. Debuchy is marking Crouch - so Assaidi has too much time and space to get a shot away. A great strike but looks preventable imo.

I think Remy wasn't challenging because he can't beat Mertesacker in the air so is much better off trying to peel away to create some space for the second ball.

Bullshit, he was chickening out of every single possible 50/50, regardless of whether it was Mertesacker or not. Taking a leaf out of Robbie Keane's book

Can't say I've ever noticed tbh.

Anyway depressing that according to that league table on here, that Fulham have more points over the past 10 years than Newcastle.

I really don't think either Giroud or Cazorla were faking. Why would they? It was 0-0 at that point, it's not like we were trying to run the clock down.

Another good result for Spurs under Sherwood today, he's made a good start. Good to see and also good to see Webb didn't fall for some of the United players' antics - seems like every game they play there's an embarrassing dive, Welbeck this time.

Worrying results for Sunderland and West Ham. I've made it clear how highly I rate Big Sam but I won't deny they're deep in the sh*t. Still think they'll be okay though in the end.

He booked Januzaj for getting fouled and he missed as stonewall a penalty on Young as you will ever see. He's a horrific referee these days and its nothing to do with 'not falling for antics' he's just an absolute bottler who is shit scarred of making a decision (made even worse by the fact that he's a self important cretin who doesn't want to make a major howler that will cost him his place in Brazil).

Even the Welbeck one was the same story, he chose the option that meant he didn't have to make the decision. Hence why he didn't book Welbeck either.

We were seriously shit though, our one tactic of pass to Valencia for him to run and smash it to no one is just not good enough. Neither is he, and neither is the only tactical tweak Moyes makes which is to shift him to RB and bring someone else on which once again cost us a goal.

It doesn't matter, if he's standing 2 yards away from an incident and can't see that Rose has completely wiped him out then he shouldn't be refereeing.

Tbf I haven't seen it but I hate when people complain that players have reputations when it's their own fault.

All clubs get bad decisions though, it's no worse nor better for Man Utd than it is for anyone else. Arsenal weren't given a stonewall penalty today but got a freekick from a clear dive in midweek against us which they scored from so it evens out.

Of course they do, but that doesn't mean its right for BR to call that performance today anything other than spineless.

For reference, this is how high and late Lloris went on Young.

and this was the Januzaj one

https://i.imgflip.com/5trig.gif

Also the stats were mentioned on the game today, but he hasn't given a red card or a penalty for something like a year.

He's just a bottler, but I guess anyone that saw the 2010 World Cup knew that anyway.

The Young one looks like a definite penalty, however Januzaj goes down way too easy by the looks of it.

Maybe, the other angle of it is a bit better to show the contact caus Rooney kind of blocks it off on that one. Either way, the one decision for that challenge that I think doesn't make sense is the conclusion that Januzaj has actually dived.

That's fair, it's not a freekick but I don't think he dives. He needs to stop going down like that though.

Its probably cliche to say that Webb would have given those decisions this time last year.

Apparently Big Fat Sam has said he may strip Nolan of the captaincy following this transgression.

Looked to me more like a collision with the keeper when he scored, not that the stream i was watching was great.

Exactly the point I was thinking earlier. They must be the worst offenders in the league, it happens so often now.

He didn't, Marshall fell on his ankle after he scored. There was a picture of it I was earlier where you can see his ankle bend under the goalkeeper. Really unfortunate because he was very good when he came on today.

Regardless of the terrible referring from Howard Webb we were pretty shit. Spurs didn't have to play well to win, we didn't start playing until the final 20 minutes, and even then we weren't great. We were lacking in every department all the way through.

Disappointing.
