Pathetic.

Once again a Moyes half time team talk has seen his team come out worse.

If you've seen one of his press conferences, you can understand why.

I'm not sure if the Olympiakos fans are booing because they want to create a hostile environment, or if we've been so bad that its rubbed off on them.

Saturday he made changes, a lot of positives came out of it, tonight he reverted back to the same old shit.

I've got no words.

I can understand why he's changed things tonight, and feel like the basic plan was fine.

But the execution has been abysmal, and the buck stops there.

Why did Januzaj not travel either?

Having him as an option would have made perfect sense.

None of the players look like they care. Rio is showing to the world why he should have retired by now.

I do have a great deal of sympathy with the players though. Clearly the problem is top down rather than bottom up and the fact they look like they're playing without confidence says everything about Moyes.

I just don't see how his position is tenable.

Lol yeah its the managers fault nearly all your players play like shit and dont give a damn about it. He stops them from running, he makes their passes shit and their shots abysmal. But yeah cool, Im the idiot.

Glad we agree.

Ok i'll try and put this in the context of examples you might understand.

Remember when Hodgson was your manager and you were really shit? But somehow everyone missed that you were really shit because the manager was English and the media couldn't possibly have a go at an English manager? Then you replaced him with Kenny Dalglish, who barely seemed to have a clue what he was doing, and yet STILL did a better job?

Yeah, Moyes has been worse for us than Hodgson was for you.

Players have been shit, but at the end of the day it boils down to the manager. I'm worried he's lost the dressing room, I maybe overreacting, but it's just all round bad.

If Rio retired mid match we would have had a better chance of winning.

Not believing that until I see Sotirios Kyrgiakos upfront.

(you're right, just got reminded of Soto and needed to bring him up).

Wooohooo another few records for Moyes.

First time we've lost in Greece, first away team to lose in the CL.

Nah. Hodgson was shit because he bought absolute garbage. He bought Paul Konchesky for god sake. Dalglish was a short term fix and it showed. He bought some confidence in and some decent players but the situation didnt really change till Rodgers came in to clean up the mess.

Moyes has come in and yeah he has the team that won the title last year. But your problems started ages ago, you was complaining yourself last year about the team. Not the manager though.. the difference was players had to respect Fergie otherwise there was only one outcome. With Moyes they clearly dont give a fuck. Hes in a shit situation to be fair. He cant exactly come in to a club like United and start axing long standing players who are not only playing shit but are genuienly not giving a fuck. Your team needs serious reshuffling in the summer.

I feel like you're so close to hitting the nail on the head, but so far at the same time.

The biggest problem has been a new manager has come in and made the team worse in every way possible. Everything else is secondary to that.

And I expected a drop off this season, it has to happen in that situation, but Moyes has been appalling even by the low standards he's been set.

He hasnt really made it worse though. As in he hasnt come in and sold anyone major and you could have argued Fellaini was a decent buy if slightly expensive.

The problem is a lot of the players simply dont have to care. They won everything so whats it to them? They wouldnt get away with that under Fergie, but as I said Moyes cant come in and do much about that.

Im not saying hes been good, god no. But hes being let down massively

Have you just honestly said that?

We won the fucking League by 11 points and now we're 7th or wherever the fuck we actually are. How has he made us worse? Really, REALLY?

I think Manchester United's main problems are that they have an extremely average squad, a non-excellent manager, and unfairly high expectations. Very similar to Hodgson's Liverpool.

Why can't Carrick just admit they played shit, he's almost coming across as if they are actually happy with the performance ffs.

Fergie definitely made a poor United squad look better than it was, but then he was the kind of manager who could command respect due to his history and prestige. Moyes just doesn't have that, and has certainly not helped by making some amazingly poor tactical choices.
