We lost 1-0 to Sheffield United last night which was no great surprise. Despite playing some easy on the eye football recently we haven't won in four games now and are sliding down the table, It looks like our rather startling beginning to the campaign has fizzled out, Hopefully Deano can keep us from yet another season in the bottom four before miraculously surviving on the final day again, I don't think my nerves can take it again.

Jewell's finally left Ipswich, about time. Ipswich to appoint a manager before Rovers? Wouldn't be surprised.

Do you have any pace in your side? If you answered this question with yes you will get a result at Gigg on Saturday.

Bags of it, With the exceptions of Andy Butler and Dean Holden at the back I think the entire squad is under 25.
We have tended to start at break neck speed with the youngsters using said pace but they tire in the second half, which has cost us several times already this season

Are you going by the way?

The pace in your side will be destroying our super fast CB's Sodje and Lockwood with combined age of 70 (!!!).

I'm a season ticket holder. I'm kinda doomed to go

Ah well, I'll probably be one of the two Walsall fans there.

We attract massive crowds of 1.800 so Walsall's massive away support will be a nice addition

You'll notice me, I'm the one fan singing and actually making some atmosphere.

Two away games at places we're always crap, always lose, and have men sent off = two defeats where we were crap and had a man sent off.

Sounds like 4-0 was harsh today and that we were well in it for an hour, but they got the second and we lost discipline. Hunt was daft enough to get himself sent off for mouthing off at the ref (well played, ref, we don't see players given their marching orders enough for foul and abusive language), and he now misses Bristol City and the Venky Army.

And on Tuesday we were monumentally crap. Thing is that Peterborough should have taken us for six or seven but could only manage 3 - all with an element of fortune.

It was a quality goal and we were lucky to take a point really. Comical defending by Bury for our goal though.

Our defence is godlike. Why does Blackwell keep on playing this numpty Lockwood when we've got "better" with Mark Hughes on the bench? Why do we still have to play Carson? Why does it take us 20 chances to finally get a goal? Questions over questions.

1-1, a point but that's not good enough. We should be beating Walsall at home if we want to stay in League One.

I missed watching Northampton Town on the Football League Show as I am abroad. Did Alex Nicholls leg break look bad? Top scorer injured for a long time - typical. At least we won.

I'm going for some non-league footy later, Sutton Coldfield Town Vs. Gresley in the Evo-Stick Southern first division.
I have some split loyalty issues here as it's the town I was born and grew up in Vs. My current local side.

I supported Gresley but I can't begrudge Sutton their 4-2 victory. It was a thoroughly enjoyable game which a few of my old Brummie mates who I hadn't seen since moving to Leicestershire came to with me which made it even better.
I'll be back over there next week as well as Gresley are playing Romulus who share Sutton's ground

In Saddlers news; Dean Smith has signed a new two and half year contract with us. I don't think Fergie himself could do any better with the resources available to Deano so needless to say I'm delighted.

Was also linked with our managerial post. Young manager with fresh ideas and a decent record in Norway. Not the worst appointment if it does happen.

If it goes through, fairly happy with that, although feck knows why it's took over 5 weeks to sort out. There were rumours Holloway was interested, which I would have preferred, but I'm fairly hopeful with Berg. Was an excellent player here in two spells and has been critical of Venky's in the past

I'm almost disappointed the rumours about McLeish weren't true. I didn't think they could do worse than Kean but him...

Hopefully it'll go through and you'll have an actual manager, though.

I see him as a solid choice if not a spectacular one.
