We need someone to link the midfield and attack better. Varney was shit. I'd like to see White moved out to the left side, where he belongs, and have Tonge alongside Austin. Diouf played very cleverly today.

We were extremely lucky.

Well, fuck. Should've won that game. Even without penalties, we should've won. Same old story. At least CMS has found his scoring boots again, hopefully he can refind some form.
It's worrying though, we create so many chances but don't know what to do with them. It's a shame but it seems like there's really no strikers out there which we can afford and can slot into our system. That's what happens when you try to play attractive football at a lower level. You can't find the attractive players.

But I digress. It was an alright game of football, if a bit scrappy but that's how teams like to deal with us these days. Paddy Kenny is a hell of a keeper. Also, does Warnock just make shit up or what?

There was a time when that would genuinely bother me. But what's the point in caring any more? There's a weird limbo floating over the club, with everyone involved (players, staff, fans) all saying takeover, takeover, takeover. So if everyone's on hiatus until the magical takeover happens and we get to see just how green the grass is, is there really any point in caring?

Not for me. As long as we finish in 21st place or higher I don't care what happens this season. And it'll be a waste of my time to get show interest in any league fixture this year.

Agreed, we haven't turned up for any league game since Forest, it's just fucking depressing now. Eddie Gray was an absolute joke after the game tonight as well, how he can continue to defend Bates is beyond me. Looks like half our team's injured or suspended for next week now as well.

It's brutal. This season we've only had three players worth talking about, Byram and Diouf being the other two. It's not totally devastating in the sense that we do have players in the middle, Tonge has been pretty good since coming in and Norris and Green can do a good job. However it opens the door to more Michael Brown. That's a disaster waiting to happen.

I think the fact it was extended yesterday and then he invoked the recall clause a day later is a bit much. I can't really blame Warnock though, he's had nothing to work with this season.

Takeover agreed:

Dubai-based investment bank, GFH Capital Limited has today signed the deal for the acquisition of Leeds United Football Club. The signing of this deal marks the start of a one-month transitional period in terms of full change in ownership and control of the club.

Following Football League approval, GFH Capital Limited will be 100% shareholders.
The deal sees GFH Capital Limited, which has financially supported the club since entering into an exclusivity period, injecting further funds for working capital and to support Neil Warnock's intentions to strengthen the team.

GFH Capital executive David Haigh will join the board of Leeds United with immediate effect with fellow GFH Capital executives Hisham Alrayes and Salem Patel joining in December as the leadership of the club is further strengthened.

Ken Bates will remain as Chairman for a transition period until the end of the season after which point a new GFH Capital-led Chairman will take over the position and Ken Bates will become club President.

Leeds United chairman Ken Bates said: "I can confirm we have now completed all the negotiations with GFH Capital. We have completed the first part of the purchase and they will be taking over 100 per cent of the club. Meanwhile, there is a transitional period while they get to know more about the club.

"I will continue as chairman until the end of the season when I will take over as president and I look forward to sitting back and taking more time off. Neil Warnock will continue as manager with more support than the present owners have been able to give and we look forward to a smooth transition.

"One thing I can say that has benefited from the negotiations is that this six-month courtship has given GFH Capital the opportunity to see the strengths and weaknesses and what needs to be supported. You can look forward to a smoother transition than we've seen at a lot of clubs.
"I'd like to thank, on behalf of Suzannah and myself, the tremendous support we have received over the years, particularly over the last 12 to 18 months which hasn't been easy, but has made us more determined to see the job through."

David Haigh, Deputy CEO, GFH Capital Limited said: "After a long process of negotiations, spanning Leeds, London, Monaco, Dubai and Bahrain, it gives us great pride today, to have completed the deal for Leeds United.

"A brief but important transitional period now begins in terms of the changeover of ownership: we have today injected further funds into the club and now we look to the future and start the exciting journey to take Leeds United FC back into a prime position in English football once again.

"From a Leeds family myself and a supporter of The Whites since childhood, I know that football is at the very heart of the people of Leeds and the wider community.
