It isn't confirmed until 21st December and Bates stays until the end of the season. Fuck sake.

Doomsday.

Signed Seb Carole on non-contract terms. What can we expect this time?

Poleon, Thompson, Sweeney, Healy, Blackwell and now Carole. We're turning into Leeds (rejects) United

Nothing super inspiring, routine victory. Diouf, Byram, Tate all very good. Just need to get rid of Peltier.

Becchio hands in transfer request. What a great day.

A lot of rumours of him coming to Forest. Hope so.

Stephen Warnock, on £40,000 a week, is on his way to Leeds. I refuse to believe it.

Are you sure Peter Ridsdale isn't involved with GFH?

They have no money. Becchio's being sold imminently, for up to £4m which would be a great price. Habib Habibou coming in... for peanuts.

I like him, he's very personable, and he's a fan of teams that set up to attack, hence the high-scoring games at Reading this season. The problem is that if I'm not mistaken he was already internally involved with the club before he got the manager's role, so Leeds' dressing room will be the first time he'll have to win over a group of players.

I don't like him, mainly because he's bald. That's probably a good omen, I've felt good about our last ten managers and they've all been shit.

I've done a little reading up on his comments and he's positioning himself well. It remains to be seen whether he actually executes.

Reading have been fairly defensive this season, with his side having very little possession and little pressing.

Hard to say, but I reckon he may done well for avoiding a Derby/Sunderland points tally. There seems to very little PL quality in that squad.

True, but in the championship they were very attacking. They've been defensive more out of necessity than tactical strength, and I think he was hoping his attacking players would adapt better to the top flight a la Swansea.

I love Brian McDermott. I have a wave of relentless optimism about him, from talking about attacking football, the wins, saying Byram will be here next season... I just have a good feeling about him.

Trust me, no one hates bald people more than I do. His lack of hair will never sit right with me, but if it means success then I'm happy to turn a blind eye.

Really? QPR will have the biggest firepower and the best manager in the league (despite how much of a dick he is), Wigan should keep hold of most of their players, as should Reading. Then there's Watford, Leicester, Brighton, Bolton (my pick, they were really good towards the end of the season and were unlucky to miss out on play-offs).

Bolton will be up there I think, Freedman looks like a good manager. If Wigan keep hold of most of their squad and don't appoint a dud they shouldn't be a million miles off. Reading with Adkins too yeah.

Hard to say with QPR - people have said they could do a Newcastle and dominate it but Newcastle kept a large number of their players iirc, whereas QPR will surely have to ship loads out and bring a few more in.

We got rid of a lot of our high-paid players that summer - and back then we probably paid over the odds wages for a lot of players not unlike QPR now. Plus some of our players that our now very good were looking like busts (or at least not as good as they do now) back then, i.e. Coloccini.

With Harry in charge I reckon QPR will be there or thereabouts next season. It'll be interesting to see how much interest there is in Wigan's players, I wouldn't mind Newcastle having a serious look at Kone for one.

Redknapp is just shit and QPR might have the best players in the league but look what happened in a similar case at Wolves.
If Wigan don't appoint someone of Martinez calibre they're dead plus I can't see them holding all of their best players.
Reading might mount a good challenge yes. Watford, they have 10 loaned players in the first 11 so you quite can't see what will happen next season. Leicester, Forest and probably Bolton will be there fighting for the play-off. I can't see any of the three relegated Premier League teams bouncing back straight.
