Bookies have us amongst the favourites for the league. I think we are most certainly better than Benfica but we are a little bit away from Porto.

Little faith in the man from Costa Rica!
So there's the pre-season wheeling and dealing. Lot of movement. Some would argue to much, for me it was needed. The squad is nearer what I'd like but still has a way to go. Need to now produce some talent.
Snuck a cheeky 6-5 penalty win against a strong 10 man Porto effort. Defended the Super Cup. Big man in Portugal now.

A slightly cheeky comeback means we somehow against all the odds have qualified for the group stages of the Champions League ... look out.

He's started off slowly ... but has recently began playing well ... disappointed to lose him.

Halfway point. Beat Galatasary, drew to Juve and got hammered by City. Not bad. Could have been a lot worse.

Only if Porto drop the ball, I can't see it at the mo. I think next year we can really push them. The squad has settled into my tactics and one or two careful additions to the squad will allow the club to challenge Porto.

The answer would be no. Extraordinary scenes, a 3 goal comeback. It took us an age to get back in but when we did, Porto were all over the shop.

2-1 at home. Went to France hoping for a draw at best. Somehow we stole a victory. Our reward, an interesting Tottenham side managed by Ricardo Moinz. Game on.

Not the greatest of intakes but the striker has something about him. Could well be a world beater.

Held an attacking Spurs. I can't see us turning them over at White Heart Lane. We are a young side in this competition and have punched above our weight. Whatever happens in the second leg, we can be proud of. Next season we will be raring to go and really be a force in this competition.

When we took the lead, we looked strong and I thought we could pull through. But the individuals of Spurs pulled them through. As I said earlier. I am not too disheartened. We gave the Eurpoa League a good go. If we drop into this competition next season, I suspect we could well prove a hefty weight for a few sides.
