He'd definitely do well at Arsenal and he's excellent going forward. He's not allowed to do that here due to Pardew
He'll be a good signing I think, unsure whether he's worth £12m though.

Wenger is too far the other way - he had Gibbs and Sagna always pushing forward last season even when we needed to consolidate or sit deeper. For me the key reason we lost 5-1 and 6-0 to Liverpool and Chelsea was because our full-backs just kept bombing on and leaving stupid amounts of space behind.
Anyway, Debuchy has removed Newcastle from his Twitter bio. I'm guessing he's gone.

Andre Santos?
Signed in the aftermath of the 8-2. Those truly were the dark days.

Yeah thats the one, shoulda kept him and rolled him out for comedy purposes now and again. Same with Eboue actually.

Turns out he wants CL football so won't be joining.
Were gonna end up with Cisse, Perez and Armstrong as our senior strikers aren't we

Lyon have said Grenier is available for £8million... even with de Jong, a reorganisation means that might work.

Everton obviously can't offer CL football either. And Newcastle should have a decent chance of beating Everton.
Lasogga to Hamburg completed as well.

But they can offer Europa League football, which is a pull.

Our go to move is offering way below market value and pissing players off.

Debuchy, Anita, Cabaye, MYM, Marveaux, Sissoko, Gouffran, Cisse, De Jong all signed extremely quick. Cabella is apparently very happy with terms. Pieters was desperate to sign.
Lasogga was about the only time, I've heard a player was upset with contract terms. And obviously with Remy, QPR presumably paid a lot more, but Newcastle were still able to get him on loan.
'Beat' Everton to Demba Ba as well.Link

Debuchy didn't sign extremely quick, took us about a year too long.
Everton are just a much more attractive proposition for a player, play good football under a manager who will most likely help them progress or be stifled and played out of position by Pardew?
Shola
Lacazette missed out on the WC, as Sissoko and Remy were taken instead of him. Cabaye and Debuchy have also continued to be picked for the International team. Besides he may not want to break his neck playing Martinez' hoofball.

As an aside, anyone find this Twitter clue-seeking for him joining Arsenal irritating?
Poe
Then he changed that to a 4-4-2.
I'm sure you have some sort of statistic that says otherwise though, however as I tell you pretty much every day football isn't played on paper.
We're just off the back of some of the worst form in the country, whereas Everton still challenging in the top 7.

I know de Jong is saying they want top 4 but investment on a large scale, retention of the entire playing squad and telling the manager to actually play his strongest available team would be a start. None of those look like happening.
Shola
I doubt Lacazette will care too much about the Europa League tbh.

Right club but almost a third of what Fulham are actually playing.
Aside from the fact Championship clubs are spending £11million and we aren't, it is a deal that makes little mathematical sense for Fulham, who I don't think have sold any of their big earners yet. Saying that, and hypothetically speaking, would a deal for Bryan Ruiz be beneficial for us or would we just misuse him like Fulham have been since they signed him?

I can't see Campbell being sold or coming to Newcastle. If he goes on loan it will be to a foreign CL club. I think he might actually get games at Arsenal this season though. Jenkinson would be a decent enough player to get in though.

Fully agree. Total misconception that long balls = defensive = physical = 'graft'
Can't see Joel Campbell or Jenkinson arriving as part of the Debuchy deal. I don't think Newcastle will be interested in loaning young players in who they probably won't be able to buy.

Jenkinson is rumoured to be a permanent transfer, not a loan. I could see it happening if Jenkinson believes he will get 30+ games a season at Newcastle, rather than 15 and some CL games at Arsenal AND if he believes that regular football is more valuable to his career at this stage.
