Doubt it. Hasn't been what he was since the Agüero 90+4 season. Probably down to the fact he hasn't had a consistent defensive partner but he always makes mistakes. Cahill, Terry, Mertesacker & Koscielny have been better in the past couple of seasons imo.

This doesn't deserve a proper response but... your main gripe with him is that he makes the same mistakes but you Koscielny is the better than him? He's even more error-prone.

As I said the partnership problems probably increase the exposure of them tbh. But still, I think it's just as deluded to say that Kompany is 'comfortably the best' as saying that Koscielny is up there with the best in the Prem.

I've never seen a game where we play so fucking good, yet so fucking shit. I'm not even mad. You can say I'm being biased, but despite the score line reckon we where comfortably the better team... Absolutely shocking defending though and unfortunately they scored two deflections. The linesmans had a 'mare as well.

Probably because prior to that Coleman was all over Costa getting all niggly with him to provoke a reaction, resulting in Costa then being harshly booked.

Hence he gave a little back after the own goal.

When was this? IIRC Costa was well and truly inside the 18 yard box being marked by two defenders when Ramires and Matic played their one-two before Ramires scored.
