At least we've looked good up until now.
bluemoon.
First half wasn't too bad, since half time though there's been a lot of mistakes and backpassing.
Edit: Fuck sake.

I can only assume that Lerner wanted to maintain stability after listing the club for sale not long before, might also have been to play down rumours that Roy Keane had been brought in to replace him.
Good save by Rob Green there.

All exemplified in Benteke's header in the back of Cole's head tonight really.

They keep possession well but the final delivery and creativity isn't there.

Yeah, but he's still a quality CB and thus makes what you said completely irrelevant.
bluemoon.
Not really. He's a horrendous human-being, the fact he's also quite a good centre-back doesn't override that.
.verse
So you know him personally then? Or do you just believe everything that's in the papers (and that comes from Rio/Anton's mouth) as gospel? Which is ironic, since it's only ever the negative things that get the majority of the press and attention, not the genuinely good things he does.
Examples include;

Fact is; neither you nor me know exactly what the man is like away from the football pitch. Calling him a "horrendous human-being" though is a touch over the top nonetheless.
Flash.
Also, you're forgetting the charges he's had for things like assault and parking in disabled spots.

EX girlfriend. Which is often overlooked. Not that it excuses the cheating.
Again, not denying he's done wrong, he clearly has. I just find it funny that he's the only one actually ever singled out for any of it and anything positive he does is widely ignored. When you've got Giggs shagging his brothers wife, Rio finding it funny to call fellow black people "choc ice", hosted an unauthorised party were a young player was accused of rape, was banned for "forgetting" a drug test, and has now recently copped a 3 game ban and fine for his misogynist behaviour on twitter. Yet, all is quickly forgotten for those.
Ultimately, it comes back to what I said earlier, none of us really know what he's like in person.
bluemoon.

Pls, I'm hardly that one-eyed. One just gets a little tired of seeing the conveniently selective and ironic nature of some players/situations.
In all honestly, I couldn't even care. Doesn't exactly alter my life in anyway. It's just good to point things out.

bluemoon.
When you're suggesting that John Terry is the only player criticised for not being a very good person then, yes, you're being one eyed. Giggs gets all manner of shit, Rio probably doesn't get as much as he should whilst Rooney and Gerrard aren't immune from criticism. Terry gets more criticism because he's done more to warrant criticism.
