Maybe it's just me, but who the fuck is still playing GTA:O? Doing the same thing over and over is not fun, it was great for a month or two, but it got boring.

I haven't played in fucking ages - will probably venture back online when the heists are released for a little bit.

I haven't even completed it yet. I'm in college and I deliberately left my x-Box. (Would only be hooked again otherwise) And I rarely go home. Gonna try and finish it over the summer. But whenever I do play it, I don't always just to missions. Love to mess around as well cos there's so much other stuff to be doing. Exploring the countryside is one of my favourites!

They should have given out cash bonuses rather than RP for 'cruising with players' etc. Give out $1,000 for things like this and you'll see players will play for longer.

The whole point of GTA was freedom so Rockstar should reward those who do this.

No one gives a crap about RP

Someone said they were for separating tiebreakers in the game modes.

JP are supposed to be for high end missions, probably heists. So instead of just being able to jump in and do a heist you have to do other tasks first, accumulate JP and then spend those JP to attempt a heist. So yes, welcome to another thing people will not be happy about.

The thing that puts me off is the amount of effort for your money. I don't want everything given to me but I feel I am wasting my time just messing around with friends online as I don't get anything from it I can use. Therefore I am obligated to do the same 4-5 missions for money I just spend on ammo and armour mainly.

Or just rob a shop while hanging out with your friends

I'll enjoy spending the $1,000 (if my friends let me keep all of the loot)

So what do you suppose they do? Just give you money? Am I right in saying you can bet on golf and tennis?

Cash for stuff like stunts, running with crew, stealing a jet, losing wanted levels etc. Just silly stuff you do in free roam really.

The game punishes you financially for not doing the missions or races (over and over). It's a bit too grinding atm

I agree. I've done almost all the missions at least more than once. Some missions only give you 4k-5k which is peanuts in the world of GTA, to fill 4-5 guns to full ammo your talking £25-30k and adding a flashlight to one of your weapons is £12,500.

The game revolves around money, and its just too hard to accumulate.

Its because they most likely want you to buy the money

Everyone had a shit load of money before they patched it all, money is easy to get on the game anyway

Why would I want to waste my time doing menial jobs to buy clothes, cars and houses in a game when I already do that in real life?

You do menial jobs and waste your time?

Doing menial jobs on GTA is definitely more fun than doing them in real life.

It's also way easier.

This thread hasn't been updated since May so just wait for me to blow the cobwebs off of it...

With it being November tomorrow, its not long until GTA is re released for the new gen consoles!

Well I played it alot on the PS2 but never completed it without cheats so this is my chance. And for three quid you can't go wrong.

San Andreas is still my favourite GTA game ever. I never got to complete it though because one of the missions broke. Think it was one where you had to park a truck with boxes in the back next to a house and let some guy on the roof jump off into it. But for some reason he'd always jump off and splat on the floor as soon as the mission started therefore making it impossible to complete.

EDIT: I've just bought it from marketplace. Downloading now.
