As much as I'm annoyed by the way he negotiated his move to Arsenal, I feel sorry for Debuchy getting another 3/4 month injury.

Well, for fuck sake.

Hopefully this will make us actually play this match, we've been dire today.

A contender for worst performance of the season. That was absolutely embarrassing.

Did Manchester United even manage a single attempt on target in the 90 minutes?

Nope, first time since 2009 according to Opta

And that was against Arsenal, the day we won the title haha.

No shots on target, not even Juan. Ha ha ha.

Not bothered checking it, but apparently you're one goal down on this stage last year

That doesn't sound right. Fairly certain they didn't get any on target in the derby at the Etihad in 2012.

According to BBC report we apparently had two on target that game. We were really bad so that's surprising.

We were bad, but Southampton weren't great either today. We lacked any sort of penetration or creativity. We could have done with Falcao today.

Yeah, that doesn't sound right. Then again, it's not that important so never mind.

The stat floating around said that was during a 0-0 draw with Arsenal that confirmed their third Premier League title in a row.

Slightly less glamorous circumstances today. Although weird to think that was Ronaldo and Tevez's last MUFC home game.

Shite performance. Need to improve quickly, luck alone won't be enough to secure a top 4 spot with Arsenal improving and Southampton looking ever more likely not to implode.

We weren't that bad despite the no shots on target headline, which is really more a case of abysmal finishing (from Mata) when we did create chances.

I can't imagine Southampton play like that every week but that Schneiderlin/Wanyama axis, whilst obviously defensively sound, has to be just about the most uninspiring in the league.

One of the most shocking games of football I've ever seen though, we weren't good enough to break them down and they were content to not go forward. We'd have won it on another day but lost it today, still plenty more games to go.

I think Aston Villa claim every 'accolade' of this type. 11 goals all season is unbelievable.

Nah they were terrible.

The defending was embarrassing. It was schoolboy stuff. Just running to the ball, no structure whatsoever.

Passing was also rubbish. Seemed to hold on to the ball too long then panic and give it away.

Anybody know if this Carles Gil who we have just signed from Valencia is any good?

Apparently he is a creative midfielder who is good at beating players, exactly the sort of player we have lacked.

Man City sign Bony for £25million, potentially rising to £28million.

Be interesting to see if he is able to meet the potential, and also if it fucks up Man City's FFP even more.
Janmaat > Debuchy anyway.

I guess but missing six months of the campaign with injury is not nice to see, particularly the injuries he got.

Still annoyed he looked better at CB against us than of our CB's have for most of the season.

Just brought this up in the transfer thread, seems mental on all accounts. Bony's saying he's excited to play in the CL but that could only be for 2 games at a push and even then City are going to have to remove a player from their squad, also could see him being moved on next season or becoming even more of a bit part player.

Did anyone listen to the Football Ramble this week, one of them mentioned City might be about to be investigated for holding companies with massive loses being used to get around FFP

Valencia are obliged to buy Negredo for effectively the same price City bought Bony for.

Bony will be the same as BA was for Chelsea sit on the bench for a few seasons then end up in a shit league like Turkey.

What the fuck happened to Scott Sinclair? Left Swansea for City and not heard of him for about 4 years.

Barely got a chance at City, was never good enough anyway. Pretty sure a mix of injuries and unsuccessful loans spells have finished him off.
