I mean I lend her like £30/40 a week on lots of stuff, some goes towards my phone. She got it for me before I turned 18 so I wasn't allowed to have it under my name.

Our bloody heating oil has run out so we have no hot water or heating. I'm freezing my titties off.
It costs £300+ to have the tank refilled which I can't afford any time soon either.

What do they teach them in America?

All that's important to you but they probably couldn't give a shit. I bet you could find plenty of British people who think Ireland are part of the UK too. Just not something that registers to some people. Not worth worrying about.

Geography isn't a prioritised subject in the American school system and isn't taught to anywhere near the same degree like it is in Western Europe largely because most Americans have absolutely no use for it. They have Canada to the North and Mexico to the south and those are the only foreign countries your typical midwestern American need to know anything about.
