My Hull championship save FM16. Players reviewed & signed. UPDATED 18/12/2015

hi. just thought I would post my findings on my first outing on FM16 and players I have brought in.
I guess I took a bit of a cop out with Hull but I didn't want a premiership side and a didn't want a team I would be struggling with. plus I like to find my feet with a new game and I know Hull have a good squad. I have been doing great so far using a 4-2-3-1 attacking formation.

here are my signings and fees paid. please feel free to comment-

wow! man of the moment and I picked him up at under his market value of £5m at the start of the game! £3.3m I paid for Jesse and he wasn't even on the transfer list. touted as the new beckham. get in there quick when you start a new game! as you can see from my screenshot, he is worth every penny and more.

I absolutely love this kid! there isn't many wonderkids you will get a Work Permit for, but he will get one despite not being European. I picked him up for £3.7m at the start of the game and his value has already increased. a winger rather than an inside forward, but he settles in quick and already delivers the goods.

this lad is making huge waves at the minute and he absolutely killed Celtic in the euro cup IRL. I didn't expect too much when I bought him for the paltry sum of £2m at the start of the game, but he has already established himself as a first team regular inside forward. 4 goals and 4 assists in 8 games (2 as sub) speaks for itself! sign him up. quick.

right, as you can see I had to offer this fella a hefty championship wage to ward off potential suitors, but he has proved he is worth every penny. FREE! get in here quick. a focal point and still bizarrely with no club.

absolutely shocked he was on the transfer list at the start of a new game but I am not complaining as Hull manager! he has been my back-up to Abel Hernandez but could easily better him...
£3.5m is an absolute steal.

paid more than I would have liked for solly but I was thinking long term for this inside forward. could be the next gazza on his prediction so hopefully it is £5m well spent! English with great potential.

love this young keeper. he has just started showing his skill recently IRL and in the game he is touted as the next hans van breukelen. I have him as my number one at Hull but it is probably a bit too soon for him.
picked him up cheaply at £2.3m and his wage demands are very meagre.

I had to flog a few to sign these players. namely, Elmohaday and Snodgrass but I think it was worth it long term.

I will keep you posted on how I do but I am smashing the league so far with these signings. I have renewed Huddlestone and Meylers contracts as there isn't many that are better for this league. Throw in Livermore and Diame and I have 4 very capable MCs for my formation (two in the middle rather than in front of the back four).

Abel Hernandez is smashing them in despite his 11 for finishing because he is getting great service from my new signings.

whilst I am the subject of Hull, I want to show you one of the best DLs you can find in the game that I started with-



absolutely brilliant stats and a consistent performer. enough said.

Some quality signings there, Ricky Alvarez on a free transfer is literally ridiculous! Anyone know what's actually happening with the guy IRL?

I think he was loaned from Inter to Sunderland with a clause built into the deal for Sunderland to sign him on a permanent basis for £7.5million if they avoided relegation from the Premier League. Of course they avoided but Ricky got injured in his knee i think, so Sunderland refused to offer him a contract. Inter have now initiated an appeal with FIFA about it.

Oh right, I knew there was some kind of dispute but didn't know what.

January is here and I've picked up this fella for next to nothing. £1.3m paid for Boilesen. his stats have taken a bit of a hit since previous versions, as he was one of the best DLs in the game but still rated highly and he will be good back up for Robertson who is looking jaded.

another January signing. £2.8m paid for this Norwegian international. Valon has been a stalwart for Salzburg and was very close to signing for Liverpool last season. still young and touted as the new runar berg. again, I have signed him as back up. ricky alvarez is not the fittest and can be quite injury prone so this guys fresh legs will be a bonus.

this lad needs a thread of his own!....



playing as an inside forward/ support on the left. hector villalba didn't do too bad either!

nearly forgot I signed this guy! I picked him up for £3.5m near the beginning of the season and I mistakenly clicked on 'yes' to sign him even though he didn't qualify for a work permit. I was gutted when I realised so I sent him on loan with no realistic hope of him ever getting a permit. he returned from a fairly successful loan after 6 months and I reapplied for a work permit in January and hey presto he got one!
as you can see from his stats, he is a very tasty AMC prospect who, "could be the next canete, aldophino". hes quick, got bags of flair, technique and can dribble and pass well. glad I made the mistake now!

just nearing the end of January, and I wanted to show you how Abel is doing...



I am playing him alone up front as a complete forward attack and as you can see, he is thriving! he has an option to extend his contract by a year and of course I did. 25 goals in 26 games...so far!!!

okay, I have pretty much smashed the championship with Hull and the board have gave me some great funds so I have signed the following-



wonderkid alert! this kid is thought to be the new Neymar in the real life. I picked him up for £7m and this 18 year old will only get better. Arsenal are sniffing around him IRL. Abel Hernandez's long term replacement in my game.

the next four I signed because they were on the transfer list and not getting games for their clubs. these were-



signed for £7.5m. he was disgruntled at not being number one for Chelsea so demanded a move. arguably one of the best keepers in the premiership at a reasonable price. Easily will be my new number one next season in the Prem.

I absolutely needed a new DR and he fitted the bill perfectly-



again, another player complaining at the lack of first team opportunities has benefited me. the DR I have got at Hull has proved to be great, which I will show you, but Trippiers lack of first team football is to my advantage. only £3.5m paid. An absolute steal.

ok I was surprised at this guy being available but-



he has struggled to make an impact at Liverpool this season in my game and as a result, demanded a move. on the list and I paid £8.5m. I think for my Hull team he will shore up my defence and replace an ageing Dawson.
(He must have broke his foot after I signed him!...plenty of time to recover before the new season starts though.)

when I won the championship, I was given a hefty amount and I saw this lad on the list so I bought him. not sure of his best position though...



winger? I have some decent wingers anyway, but he was on the transfer list so it would have been remiss not to sign him. £7.5m is peanuts.

the jury was out for me on moses when I first took over managing Hull, but with the lack of quality in the right back position, I was forced to play him. it just shows with the right training and playing time a young player can flourish. he is now first choice DR for me and Nigeria.

I didn't really regard Jake as a first team member when I started as I initially went with Huddlestone and Diame in the middle. but he has forced his way into my team and is now one of the first names on my team sheet. I am playing him as a box-to-box midfielder and as you can see, he is loving it! 13 goals, 5 assists and 6 POMs...so far!

okay, I have now got into the premiership and I have sold shit loads! I had to sell a few to generate funds, namely Livermore, Huddlestone, Dawson, etc.
not because they were crap, mainly because I needed to sign a higher calibre of player to compete and a few weren't getting any younger.

plus I had to sell some of the lads I brought in last season. Barisha moaned so he was gone, Dwight Gayle as he couldn't oust Abel and Alveraz went with a heavy heart and a hefty fee but I think I've made the right choices...

I was very chuffed when I brought this youngster in for the meagre price of £5m. He will be excellent long term for me!
This kid will be a super DC for years to come. he wasn't on the transfer list so seek him out!

he was signed from the funds I gained from the sales but I think he is a better option than Abel. £10m paid for a young English striker. money well spent in my opinion. he has some great all-round stats.

due to the fact that I moved some MCs on, I had to strengthen there. firstly, I signed this lad who was on the list-



I paid a hefty sum for this player but I think he's worth it over the MCs I sold. purely because of his age and attributes. surely he can only get better?

£10m paid. he is a bit aggressive and cocky so be careful with him red card wise.
