First signing has been made as Brian Dunlop has returned to the football club who he played for five seasons ago and he's probably come back a better player than he was during his first spell as the twenty three year old central midfielder made eleven appearances during his first spell - he could well be first choice in the centre of the park.

Otis Collins has joined on a season long loan deal from English side Everton.

One more signing has been made as Jordan Stewart has joined the club after agreeing a pre-contract from Swindon Town.

Just brought in Andy Carroll on a free transfer and I'm hoping he can score goals for us in the Championship and his experience could prove vital. The only reason he has been signed is because our best striker Karian Ahearne-Grant (yep, he's Scottish) has joined Aberdeen after they activated his relegation release clause of £250k, I didn't want to sell him but had no choice.

One more signing has been made as Luke McCullough has completed a loan deal from Premiership side Partick, he'll be here for the entire season and will add more much needed experience as we look to secure an automatic return to the Scottish top flight.

Liam Caddis' sixty fourth minute goal has seen us progress in the Challenge Cup following this single goal win at Forfar. A little undeserved if I do say so myself but I'm just delighted we're through as we should be targeting this competition this season. Need to improve though.

And it's a winning start to the Championship season as we beat our former employers Inverness who unjustly sacked us following their relegation. Job done in the second round of the Challenge Cup at Links Park as we've beaten Montrose 2-0. Experienced striker Andy Carroll put us in front on twenty nine minutes with his first Saints goal before Otis Collins' goal a minute from time sealed our passage to the third round in which we'll travel to another League 1 side in Dumbarton.

Just secured a three goals to one win away to Livingston in a 'rearguard performance' as Andy Carroll, Otis Collins and an own goal from Evan Horne on target. Up to second place but we have only scored 9 goals in our opening 5 league games.

This is possibly our best performance of the season as we tore Forfar apart at home, winning three nil - Jamie Murphy, Andy Carroll and Otis Collins on the scoresheet. We had ten shots on target, it would've been nice if we could've struck another goal or two but c'est le vie.

Needed a 90th minute winner from our on loan attacking midfielder Otis Collins to beat bottom side Motherwell. Jamie Murphy had given us the lead at Fir Park on seventeen minutes, Sean Wilson levelled for the basement club with twenty six minutes left and looked good for a point before Collins won it for us in stoppage time.

Goals from Jamie Murphy and Otis Collins has seen us dump Premiership basement club Falkirk out of the League Cup.

Otis Collins' eighty third minute goal was enough to beat Queen of the South at McDairmid Park.

And that's the end of my spell in charge of St. Johnstone and it's been quite enjoyable thus far bar one humiliating defeat away to Dundee United. @Dan will take over with the side sitting in second place and three points behind Dundee United and five points ahead of Inverness Caledonian Thistle. Andy Carroll has done decent enough for us in the three months but he's injured (surprise, surprise) again!

Trying to revive this, not a bad way to come back a two one win over Dunfermline. We were one down after five minutes however goals from Collins and Strwart in the first half sealed the win.

Another comeback win as we advance in the Challenge cup following this three two win over Dumbarton. McLean gave the host the lead before we went straight up the other end through Collins to level. He netted our second as well to send us two one up. We conceded again in the seventy sixth minute. Caddis ensured we advanced in the competition in the final minute of extra time with the winner.

Disappointed to lost this after we were one nil up through Caddis, a Gallagher double saw Inverness win come the end.

We bounced back to winning ways with a fine double from Stewart against Cowdenbeath with no real issues.

Good to see this has been revived pal, we'll conquer the BSC somehow.

Another win, another clean sheet as we try to take a commanding lead on the league title. Andy Carroll struck first before Stewart and Collins sealed the deal with a three nil win.

We're out the League cup in the Quarter Finals as we lose against Kilmarnock at home three goals to one. We were level after seventy three mintues when Stewart brought us back from behind. However two goals in the last few minutes lost us the game.
